We were glad to be based out of the town so we had the calm, space and choice of both sandy and rocky beaches - beautiful sea swims even in October! Thank you to your wonderful staff for a very relaxing few days

Loved this hotel across from Ortigia in Siracusa. Modern and classic with great views and swimming options. Loved the lounges overlooking the sea. Room was luxurious and well appointed.

Fabulous hotel, beautiful location looking across the bay to Siracusa!! Grounds, rooms, poo, private beach and facilities are all excellent and spotlessly maintained ! It’s a few Kilometres out of the town so would need to drive / taxi / boat taxi into Siracusa / Ortigia which is approx 15 mins! Did not eat in the restaurant but breakfast was superb and fitting of a 5 star hotel ! Staff friendly...

The option for the private beach or private rock facing Ortigia is great for morning to sunset sun. The water is crystal clear and there are beautiful caves to explore with lots of small little fish to see

The sand is soft and the wat is is shallow to walk into with virtually no waves at the beach

The main beach is beautiful with very helpful staff on hand, the 2nd rocky beach is perfect if you want something slightly less busy, there is also a great pool. Restaurant in the evening has some great dishes to try

Overall, it’s a beautiful property, but they definitely have some work to do to deliver luxury hotel service. Beware that Parking, pool access and a pet fee could add hundreds of Euro to an already high cost stay

The beautiful pool in the hotel pictures can only be accessed if you pay an additional €60/day. I have never seen a Marriott property with such a policy

The service right from pulling up to the front was just impeccable. The room was beautiful and had the most perfect views. absolutely spotless and everything worked. It is the perfect location for exploring the town

Staff was great especially our Bartender who greeted us every night with our usual night cap 🍸 I woke up every morning ready for the Delicious Italian Breakfast!! So yummy There is something to be said about Sicily in December

Few tourist and friendly locals. Would definitely return to Ortea Palace. We loved the farmer Market in town. The Art On Display in the hotel was tastefully unique!

It is one of the most beautiful hotels I have stayed in recently. Breakfast was perfect and the bar was amazing. just a shame we were only there for one night

The breakfast buffet selection is vast and had quality items with gluten free and dairy free options. Cooked items are also available to order. Staff service was outstanding and they are incredibly helpful

First time in Syracuse and this hotel perfectly met our needs in terms of facilities and location. It’s expensive - especially for the sea view rooms, but they are very nice and the view is lovely from them

A rare find in Sicily, this hotel offers great value for money

Location is great however it is next to restaurant that has an outdoor terrace with very loud music until the early hours of the morning that can be heard if you are in the deluxe sea view room

Beautiful old hotel with fantastic staff. Wonderful breakfast. Could do with updating and as others have said, the roof terrace drinks are over priced and the beach is fairly basic. Would stay again though.

The hotel itself is beautiful, in a great location, and the staff are excellent. They offer a private beach, but it costs $20 per person for the boat ride there and back

The lunch area was a basic plywood structure, and the food was disappointing. Given how impressive the hotel is, the beach experience felt like a missed opportunity

It would be better if you choose a room facing the sea. The hotel is very close to the ancient city, a five-minute walk. There is a parking lot at the door, which is very convenient

The boat ride was enjoyable, but it seemed unusual for a hotel of this caliber to charge for it. We were expecting a pristine beach and a nice spot for lunch

We really enjoyed this property. The buildings are ancient, but completely renovated and clean. Bathrooms are new, beds are comfortable with good linens. Breakfasts are excellent with many choices.

My husband and I stayed in the deluxe spa room while on our honeymoon, and it was perfect. The room itself was beautiful, but it also had its own private rooftop balcony, hot tub, and view of the sea

It seems to be spread across a couple buildings. Public spaces are nice and the restaurant is a large comfy space. good thing too because there are a lot of people staying in this hotel

We had a great room with a lot of space and quite incredibly, a private roof top patio. Great location in Ortigia on the eastern side where you're still in the thick of things but not so much racket from cars and such

The location of the hotel on Ortega itself is fabulous and you are totally spoilt for choice of restaurants, cafes, bars, market and gelato shops with everything in walking distance We had a truly wonderful week and the unique nature of the hotel and its lovely staff greatly contributed to making it a memorable and enjoyable trip for us

What a great stay at the Charme. Staff were wonderful the hotel is beautiful the room excellent and the terrace is a wonderful place to just sit and look over the sea. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly

This is an hotel full of character and style with brilliant service from truly excellent staff. Our room was large, very comfortable and clean with A/C and an excellent shower which was greatly appreciated

We returned frequently to the terrace for afternoon beers after having been out early to explore before the hottest part of the day. We then went out again for an evening exploration and dinner

We got a spacious room, the bathroom is also a nice size, the terrace is a bit narrow, but I could always see the sea in a small strip

I stayed in Sicily for 3 weeks with my family. We booked hotel Mediterraneo for 3 nights and my husband loved the location and the staff kindness. It's small but perfect to visit Syracuse and the nearest attractions

Short walk from train station. Get to breakfast early if you can. Some lovely restaurants and bars nearby and many other sites. Check out a bar called Sazerac for amazing cocktails just around the corner

The rooms are as shown in the photos; however, when the windows are open at night, you can hear noise because the street in front of the hotel is very busy

staff so nice and location very convenience. breakfast very plentiful and the view also not bad we could see part of Mediterraneo. Room was big enough and clean

It was very convenient to get around, being located in a cozy alley with excellent accessibility to a beach for swimming, cafes, restaurants, and a tourist parking lot

Quiet and a lovely place to walk around. Old history with the combination youth and old. Coffe and food everywere :) sun rise on one side and sun set with bars and a large portside

We were welcomed by a kind lady with a Sicilian accent who also helped us find parking. This fantastic accommodation certainly made our stay in Sicily even more enjoyable

Hotel Livingston - What a perfect ending to our tour of Southern Italy! We are a group of 16 friends who traveled through the Amalfi coast, Puglia, and Sicily

We saved the best for last! The Hotel Livingston is set as close to the sea as possible with restaurants and shops nearby. The location, the rooms, and most of all, the staff at the hotel are exceptional

We also stayed over our anniversary and Ashan went above and beyond to help my husband set up a small surprise when we got back into our room for the evening. Very caring staff, obviously enjoy what they do

The location and views of the med alone makes this hotel worth a stay. The breakfast was maybe a little lacking but the reception staff including Giuseppe couldn’t have been more welcoming.

Fantastic location right on the corner with the port of Ortigia on two sides. Fantastic breakfast, even with some home baked pastries. Breakfast terrace overlooking the port and the sea.

We were really fortunate to find a free parking spot right by the hotel where we just left the car for 3 days. Note that the hotel occupies the upper floors of the building

Very healthy breakfast with lots of chives and fresh pastries. They have a valet service to park your car when you stay. Also a small terrace roof to have breakfast or just sit. I did yoga there in the morning

It is well marked, but you have to find the 2 buzzers next to the big wooden door, and press the bottom button to get buzzed in. We loved it and would stay there again

This hotel has a family atmosphere starting from breakfast on wonderful terrace with a sea port view, very tasty fresh food and personal, that care you very personal

During the night below the hotel, young people were playing drums on the beach until early morning. even if the windows are thick. Fantastic location, good looking rooms, very nice people EXCEPT THE RUDE ONE

No car park for guest in front of the hotel because almost​ places are for local residence. If have luck can find free places but only if you have luck. If not paid 10€ per night to nearest car park

Myself and my girlfriend stayed her for a short (a few days) trip in Ortigia, and the experience was great. The location is amazing, right on the beachfront near everything, and the staff go above and beyond

I had a lovely stay at Domus Mariae, the hotel is charming and conveniently located. Be sure to book a room facing the sea, the view was spectacular. Cinzia was an extremely welcoming and accommodating host

We weren't the easiest guests im sure, we had many small, but persistent requests and the staff were consistently friendly, and more than happy to meet our requests with grace and enthusiasm

The Domus Mariae Albergo was an exceptional find! The staff was friendly and extremely helpful in finding parking (an issue in Ortigia), recommending sites to see as well as authentic restaurants patronized by the locals

I can't comment on breakfast, as we opted to have brunch at a nearby Bistro, but this is in no way a comment on the breakfasts at the hotel; this is simply how we like to holiday

The room was great, the only thing I wanted more was a kettle. The staff was lovely and the hotel is in a good area, on the beautiful island of Ortigia!

Our room was perfectly clean, the bed was super comfy - I wish all hotel rooms have the same quality of bed! Unfortunately we did not try the kitchen of the hotel which is a Michelin restaurant, but next time we definitely do

Walking around in the old town is easy, the charming main square as well as the see side are close proximity. I sincerely recommend this hotel to people who wish to stay in Siracusa old town

Very good value for money! Got the single room and there is a reasonably sized single bed, a desk, fridge, new AC and bathroom! All one can need! Breakfast was simple and great! U can choose what u want in advance and get it in ur room or at the terrace

Hotel Posta is the perfect small hotel in a great location. If you have a car the public parking is steps away, walking around is a breeze. My room was perfect, roof top terrace, breakfast and a very friendly staff

The breakfast terrace has panoramic views of two harbours and the fishing boats coming into port. But my main reason to recommend Hotel Posta is the (all female) staff, especially Anna

It’s brilliantly located in the handsome old post office building at the top of the old town, yet close to the bus and train stations and beside the main island car park

I suggest you go on foot from Central Station it' s very near and book directly. price is cheaper than on boo king Dot com or ex pedia. It ' s a safe place for woman

The breakfast was amazing! It seemed almost limitless. Pastries, fresh fruit, fresh coffee and tea. The service was relaxed but genuine. Always asking if we wanted more or making adjustments as requested

We ended up staying for three nights! The rooms were very clean and modern. There was a small but comfortable courtyard where we ate and chilled In addition to a regular inside eating area

The location is excellent, about 5 minutes from both the train station and the bus terminal, and about 10 minutes from Ortigia Island. I arrived from Taormina and made a day trip to Noto during my stay

The facilities are old, but the hot water was good and the room wasn't cold, so I was very satisfied. I would like to stay again next time
