This hotel is fantastic! The room was so clean, has in room tea facilities and quality toiletries. There’s many towels, slippers and dressing gowns. First time in Syracuse and this hotel perfectly met our needs in terms of facilities and location. It’s expensive - especially for the sea view rooms, but they are very nice and the view is lovely from them. I would use this hotel again if staying in Syracuse.

Nice Stay Family of four adults staying in one room. It is an older hotel and you have to drive past a depressed area, but the staff was nice, the room adequate and dinner and the breakfast was good.

We stayed here for four nights on our trip around Sicily. They have a large pool that was very refreshing since it was hot. It's a bit out of the way but an easy taxi ride to anywhere you want to go. I recommend Ortigia Island for the shopping, sights and restaurants.

The hotel was renovated from an old post office, and it still has the characteristics of that era. But unfortunately the hotel did not put in any effort in this regard, such as arranging some guided tours.

Absolutely the best hotel in Siracusa! We were upgraded to a sea view loft suite for free! Very large room, harbor view outside the window, clean bedding, luxurious breakfast, and warm service. We went in the off-season and parked in front of the hotel for 16.5 euros a day.

The location is perfect for walking around to take pictures of old streets and sunrise over the sea. The food was excellent. Watch out in the shower! Make sure the smaller nozzle is facing down before turning on the water.

The Domus Mariae Albergo was an exceptional find! The staff was friendly and extremely helpful in finding parking (an issue in Ortigia), recommending sites to see as well as authentic restaurants patronized by the locals. Lovely, quiet spot about 8km outside Siracusa. Spacious 2 bedroom apartment was thoroughly cleaned every day. We were served a simple but tasty continental breakfast daily in an outside communal area. Lovely pool and direct access to the sea. Best regarded as self catering rather than " hotel". The breakfasts were ok. The double room is very small, but the balcony is quite spacious. The bathroom door was broken, deformed, and didn't close at all. Don't be surprised by the mustachioed nighttime guests in this bathroom (cockroaches). The maids seem to be diligent in cleaning the room, but the bathroom definitely needs repairs, and one of the power outlets is loose in the wall.

We have waited for 15 mins outside the accommodation which no one is inside. There isn’t any check-in details provide for us when we arrive and we have to call the owner to wait for her arrival to check in. The room is nice and clean. This was the most beautiful property! The photos looked good, but they don’t do it justice. Exquisite. Breakfast was included, but I also ordered an evening meal from their kitchen, and it was the best Sicilian food I’ve had in my 4 days of travel. I can’t praise this place enough. It was a paradise.

Booked this last minute. Had a lovely stay. Room was small but comfortable, had everything we needed. Everything was very clean. Staff were helpful and breakfast was good. There was a very large group there when we were, which made the breakfast room a bit busy but we were in no rush! Charming a quirky hotel in the very heart of Ortigia.

Great location—-close to beach, with a huge pool The resort is set in magnificent grounds , surrounded by farmland. It has a beautiful swimming pool and easy access to the beach ( which is pebbles—-but beautiful sand and water once you wade out)

A rabbit warren of rooms attached to a cafe (which serves as reception). It reminded me of the places I stayed in as a student 40years ago. Wonderful boutique hotel in a premiere location - just a few minutes walk from the bridges of Ortigia, the Temple of Apollo, and the large outdoor market. The staff is incredible. Francesca arranged car pick-ups, gave us maps of the island and suggestions on what to visit, and walked with us to the box office so we could use her resident discount to buy tickets for a Greek play at the amphitheater...

Great central location Staff were very helpful with directions, parking, Ortigio is another limited parking, Low Emissions Zone in Italy / Sicily, so valet parking is the way to go. Recommendations of sightseeing and cafes & restaurant are spot on.

Breakfast was delicious, an assortment of breads, cheese, meats, boiled eggs, bruschetta, and pastries, cakes, croissants, fruit juice and fresh fruit. Francesco was super kind and helpful to plan our excursions as it was our first trip to Siricusa. Room was clean, comfortable and had window views of the harbor. I would recommend it!

Everything was excellent. I didn't give five stars for the area around the property because it is currently undergoing renovations so we had to walk the longer way round to reach Isola di Ortigia (about twenty minutes). The rooms were spotlessly clean, large room was overlooking the marina. So serene and beautiful. The breakfast was very nice, in a sunny room downstairs. All the staff was friendly and helpful. We had an amazing visit to Siracusa. The location was great. We walked down a few blocks and crossed the bridge to Ortigia.

Rooms are a bit old and needs renovation. Sound isolation is the worst there. So are pillows. Staff very friendly and perfect location.

B&B in a condominium. It is just over 1 km from Ortigia. Owner very kind and helpful, especially on the indication of the restaurant for dinner. Small bathroom and not very large room. For a 1 or max 2 nights it's just fine.
