The Clou restaurant serves delicious food and has a large wine list with roof top dining and lovely ambience. Parking is difficult as it’s a restricted zone but the hotel offer valet parking for €50 per night

First time in Syracuse and this hotel perfectly met our needs in terms of facilities and location. It’s expensive - especially for the sea view rooms, but they are very nice and the view is lovely from them

The breakfast buffet selection is vast and had quality items with gluten free and dairy free options. Cooked items are also available to order. Staff service was outstanding and they are incredibly helpful

Location is great however it is next to restaurant that has an outdoor terrace with very loud music until the early hours of the morning that can be heard if you are in the deluxe sea view room

This property was perfectly located, impeccable service and a beautiful outdoor pool. The room was also perfect with an outstanding view and modern bathroom. I highly recommend this hotel.

The location is absolutely fantastic; the balcony offers stunning sunset views. There are many excellent restaurants downstairs. The hotel is bright and elegant, with attentive service

Relax hotel is a great example of Sicilian family establishment, where one can feel like at home. Chef cook from Palermo surprise u every evening with variations of Sicilian cuisine

Nice Stay Family of four adults staying in one room. It is an older hotel and you have to drive past a depressed area, but the staff was nice, the room adequate and dinner and the breakfast was good.

Location is a bit far from the public transport, Howver the silence is enjoyable for those tired of city chaos. In total, we highly recommend the place for family stay

Of particular importance is the two pool available on the territory, small for children, great infrastructure. Personnel every day check cleanses

The most memorable of all dishes were the potato dippers and the pesto sauce freshly prepared and served with spegetti

They organized a boat into town for us and it was a beautiful boat ride at night both ways. Very nice to see the Ortigia / Syracuse city lights at night. This place is impeccable and they keep the grounds in great shape

Although the onsite restaurant was delicious, the staff were also kind enough to recommend other local restaurants and arrange transport to allow for some variation

The stand out of the trip however, was the amazing staff who went out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. We hope to return again some day!

We could not recommend Minareto more! The room was just as advertised with gorgeous views across the water to Ortigia

The massages were amazing, and the private beaches, pool and jacuzzi meant we felt no need to leave the resort

While the breakfast was very impressive with fresh local ingredients, we were upset by our sheets having multiple stains upon arrival, strong cleaning odors, and no water being delivered to our room during turn down service

Absolutely the best hotel in Siracusa! We were upgraded to a sea view loft suite for free! Very large room, harbor view outside the window, clean bedding, luxurious breakfast, and warm service

The room service as well as the friendly reception were excellent,,, Parking was also smooth, The welcome drink was very delicious.

They are all duplexes, the rooms are spacious and the environment is good

We went in the off-season and parked in front of the hotel for 16

It was formerly a post office and was converted into a sub-brand of Marriott. The room was upgraded to a loft suite. Although it is very spacious, it is a bit useless to go up the stairs to get to the bed

I flaxed because it was my anniversary with my beloved husband… Despite all these great experiences, I think I will look for a slightly cheaper place to stay if I visit Siracusa again next time

The spa is First class, large hot jet pool, multiple sauna types with light therapy, showers and ice room. The bar is provides top level attention with choice wine recommendations and snacks

The hotel is in the middle of the countryside, so arriving at night was interesting but not a problem. The hotel is very nice, the spa is the major draw. It is large, well appointed and has many different therapies

When we were there, the outdoor pool was closed (for the season). The hotel restaurant was also very nice - the breakfast spread was very nice, the lunch and dinner were similarly good. The portion sizes are pretty good

Lovely hotel with large natural setting which is very peaceful. The staff are wonderful and the service is top notch. The breakfast bar is really good. You need a vehicle as it's a ten minute drive to Syracuse

Would recommend a stay here for the relaxation

We were there for the St Valentino weekend, stayed 2 nights and experienced the spa and the breakfast, lunch and dinner. Spa is very good, several different massage and facial offerings

Cleanliness throughout the hotel was top notch (apart from the strange choice of a cream carpet on the landings!) and housekeeping was excellent, even topping up the water level in our lavazza machine! Fresh bed linen and towels daily and whilst the bathroom was rather small it was very well appointed and the marble tiling was simply beautiful

Beautiful hotel in a convenient but quiet area right behind the duomo! The staff was very helpful, especially when I had to ask for advice during a train strike. The room was a nice size and beautifully decorated

What made our stay here the most memorable was the outstanding service. This includes the reception, housekeeping, breakfast and bar. Also, the quality of the room and location are excellent. Will recommend highly!!!

The only thing that bothered us is an automatic light that was turning on at night from the mini bar station in the room on your way to the bathroom. The staff was really helpful and deactivated that light when ask

We even saw the concierge, I believe his name is Andreas, walk a sick guest all the way to the pharmacy to help her. The breakfast was delicious, beds are comfortable, rooms are quiet and the location was also excellent

Absolutely amazing hotel - the best we stayed in while in Sicily! Such a contrast to all old-fashioned, overpriced hotels around! The breakfast was delicious - fresh every day prepared to order (not the pre-packed dry biscuits you find elsewhere), service 5 star (went extra mile to ensure we could watch a game we wanted to see), everything modern and high tech

The spa is cool, especially the steam sauna

The location is perfect for walking around to take pictures of old streets and sunrise over the sea. Watch out in the shower! Make sure the smaller nozzle is facing down before turning on the water

Spacious room, comfortable bed. 24 hour reception, friendly staff. Good location if you have a car, 10 minutes from the center of Syracuse. Well-kept rooftop with a beautiful view

Our second stay at this pearl, this gem of a hotel, comes to an end. Often, when you return to a good hotel, the memories are often disappointed as reality rarely measures up

Their breakfast buffet is amongst the best I’ve ever had in all of my travels, freshly made every day: baked goods, savory and sweet along with all the usual things you’d expect

But what really gets me every day is the staff: from the reception to housekeeping, servers and Giusy: there’s a passion and love for what they do I’ve never seen anywhere else

The reception is notably friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good, offering a brilliant variety of food and drinks. Additionally, there is a large supermarket around the corner of the hotel

The hotel is at a very nice location! Along side of the main road, next to a gas station. On the ground, it's free of charge. For underground garage, 15 eur per day

The free one is already very good enough! Facilities are relatively new. They provided slippers upon request. Overall, it was a very nice experience! Oh, by the way, booking via this platform is quite cheap!

The hotel room has a lot of space, the bed is comfortable, and the bathtub is well designed with massage function, but it may not be used by many people

When using it, there will be small dirty fragments, which need to be opened several times to clean

Except for the remote location and not close to the train station, other aspects are very good

Very close to the bus/train station. It is a short walk to the downtown area. The rooms are decent the air-conditioners work very well. I thought their breakfast was amazing! They do everything they can for you!

Air conditioning, fine bathroom and a pleasant bed. Walking distance to central Syracuse. Minus is the small window and no view, small room and noisy refrigerator

The location of the hotel is excellent, in a quiet pedestrian zone and very close to all main attractions. The staff were truly helpful, especially Christian who took great care of us during breakfast

Only parking close was an expensive parkinghouse across the street. Would have chosen a more expensive hotel with free parking as the parking was 25 €. All in all decent for one night

The hotel is located in a strategic position, close to the center which can be easily reached on foot, spotlessly clean rooms and always helpful and smiling staff. The terrace where breakfast takes place is beautiful

Myself and my girlfriend stayed her for a short (a few days) trip in Ortigia, and the experience was great. The location is amazing, right on the beachfront near everything, and the staff go above and beyond

The Domus Mariae Albergo was an exceptional find! The staff was friendly and extremely helpful in finding parking (an issue in Ortigia), recommending sites to see as well as authentic restaurants patronized by the locals

We weren't the easiest guests im sure, we had many small, but persistent requests and the staff were consistently friendly, and more than happy to meet our requests with grace and enthusiasm

I can't comment on breakfast, as we opted to have brunch at a nearby Bistro, but this is in no way a comment on the breakfasts at the hotel; this is simply how we like to holiday

The room was great, the only thing I wanted more was a kettle. The staff was lovely and the hotel is in a good area, on the beautiful island of Ortigia!

Second, the staff speak some English, but not much, but neither should anyone expect that they would. This is Sicily, they speak Italian or Sicilian. If you come here, you would benefit from learning some of the language

In spite of that, the staff still works to help you. Third, the shower has low pressure at times and the heat isn't always that hot (not an issue when it's 30+ degrees outside), but it is a very nice shower and bathroom

While my work was in Ortigia, the Hotel was off the island while being close enough for a short walk every day as well. Having read some of the other reviews, I feel some things should be said

They made sure that I understood all the entrance and exit rules for after hours and checked regularly to make sure that my needs were met. My room was small but perfect for this type of trip

The bathroom was clean and working well with plenty of towels. The bed was comfortable and the wardrobe was plenty large enough to accommodate my clothing. I honestly can't say enough good things about this place

Hotel Populus was an excellent choice for me and I am very happy to have stayed there. I would especially recommend this location for single travellers, for work or holiday, and couples

Lovely accommodation with a patio and in a great location. The breakfast was included in our stay and offered a variety of items to choose from, it was the best breakfast we had on our month long stay in Sicily

The staff accommodated our need for a quiet ground floor room (my husband sprained both ankles and had very limited mobility). Excellent breakfast and ideal location to explore the town by foot

Our room was gorgeous and immaculately clean, the pool is lovely, the location is ideal for exploring the south west of Sicily (you do need a car unless you want just to stay in the hotel) and the staff are unfailingly courteous and helpful

We had a wonderful stay and would happily return. The only downside is that the evening menu doesn't change very often - perhaps some daily special dishes. Also, if you aren't keen on seafood the menu is pretty limited

Wonderful location, nice park around. Around 15 to 20 minutes to Syracusa down town. Wonderful atmosphere, really nice pool area (2 pools, one for swimmers and one for kids). Your husband will have fun at the bar 😂
