Very clean rooms with new furniture. Excellent location to visit Syracuse and Ortigia on foot. The breakfast bar staff are nice and so are the hotel reception staff.

Clean and well furnished and equipped rooms. Friendly staff. But the strong point of the hotel is its strategic position, a stone's throw from Ortigia, Fonte Aretusa, Porto Piccolo. Practically on foot you can easily visit the heart of the city. The excellent breakfast offered with a ticket at the WE bar. The only flaw, there is no parking reserved for the hotel, but still a few steps away there...

Nice small hotel closed to cenral bus station (5 min. working) and to main historical points.

Did a quick baggage drop off today and they were simply spectacular when we came back for a bags they offer coffee for free and we were very intentive and we had a bottle of wine that we had brought back and they offered us to use our tables to sit down and dry our wineDefinitely a class act definitely not something I’m used to when you’re directly across the train station.

The hotel is great, everything looks just like in the pictures. The staff is very friendly, but English is not their strong suit. The rooms are as shown in the photos; however, when the windows are open at night, you can hear noise because the street in front of the hotel is very busy. I stayed in Sicily for 3 weeks with my family. We booked hotel Mediterraneo for 3 nights and my husband loved the location and the staff kindness. It's small but perfect to visit Syracuse and the nearest attractions. We love Sicily ! We recommend a stay in Mediterraneo hotel if you sleep in Syracusa M & P

Room was ver clean. Very small when you need room for your suitcases. . Bathroom was also quite small. Breakfast was very basic but staff were cheery. There are some shops nearby for supplies.

The property is located 4 km from the center of Syracuse. This is a good hotel without too many pretensions. The room is spacious and clean. The abundant breakfast is plus you will find free parking space near the property. Really low prices. Welcoming and very kind owner. I recommend it, I'll be back!

We had the best time visiting hotel scala greca. The rooms were large and clean. Max was the kindest! He was very attentive and caring. Such a wonderful stay. Will be back!

The breakfasts were ok. The double room is very small, but the balcony is quite spacious. The bathroom door was broken, deformed, and didn't close at all. Don't be surprised by the mustachioed nighttime guests in this bathroom (cockroaches). The maids seem to be diligent in cleaning the room, but the bathroom definitely needs repairs, and one of the power outlets is loose in the wall.

A very basic hotel. The hotel was conveniemtly located in Siracusa. The room service was excellent. But the bed pillow, however, was very flat and uncomfortable as well as the bed matress.

Very central. Quiet and a lovely place to walk around. Old history with the combination youth and old. Coffe and food everywere :) sun rise on one side and sun set with bars and a large portside. If you font mind cliffs you can take a ocean dipp in the morning. :)

We have waited for 15 mins outside the accommodation which no one is inside. There isn’t any check-in details provide for us when we arrive and we have to call the owner to wait for her arrival to check in. The room is nice and clean. However, the location is a bit too far from the city centre. There’s a bus stop nearby but there is only a single bus each hour.

The distance from the station isn't close, but the room was reasonably priced, the size was decent, and the interior was tidy. There is free parking. I recommend it.

Very nice and clean hotel. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The entrance can be hard to find, but you have to go inside the building in order to reach the hotel, from there you can ring their doorbell or just give them a phone call. I definitely recommend this place!

Let's share the bad points first. Parking is very difficult there and since I AM DISABLED OVER 80%.As we arrived I was happy to park just close to the hotel. We are loving our stay at this hotel even though it is February and the weather is wintry. Location ideal for exploring Ortigia, room very spacious and comfortable, large well equipped bathroom, excellent knowledgeable staff on reception and pleasant breakfast room. Hotel is good. Great location. Beautiful landscape for the Mediterranean and the castle. IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO WOMEN: The water in Ortigia is a little brackish. Bring an appropriate shampoo or buy one right here.

Myself and my girlfriend stayed her for a short (a few days) trip in Ortigia, and the experience was great. The location is amazing, right on the beachfront near everything, and the staff go above and beyond. We weren't the easiest guests im sure, we had many small, but persistent requests and the staff were consistently friendly, and more than happy to meet our requests with grace and enthusiasm...

We had a great stay in Domus hotel. The hotel is located right on the waterfront. Our room faces the ocean. When we opened the balcony door, we saw ocean in front of our eyes and our hearts sang! Our host Cynthia is so friendly. She goes out of her way to help us.

The Domus Mariae Albergo was an exceptional find! The staff was friendly and extremely helpful in finding parking (an issue in Ortigia), recommending sites to see as well as authentic restaurants patronized by the locals. The room was clean, the linens crisp and bathroom well appointed. We will stay here again when next in Siracusa!

Hotel teocrito is located in a residential apartment building, but not very difficult to find. The location is a little bit far from the old town. Free parking is on streets nearby. The room is clean and well equipped, and the staff is warm. Breakfast is quite good.

Hotel teocrito is amazing! The rooms are spacious and the staff is incredibly warm and attentive! Breakfast is very good as well. Although a little far from Ortigia (like 25 min walking) it's close to the archeological museum and right next to a great and cheap pizzeria! Recommend!

Sometimes it’s hard to find linens free of mold and mildew in this kind of climate and price range. These accommodations were clean and beautiful on the inside. Felt very lucky to find it. They made up our room on the third day. Directly next to a church that is worth checking out as well.

Amazing location, great rooms and good beds! But if you're a light sleeper with a room on the church/street side: bring earplugs. The doors and windows are so thin that it felt like the people outside could just as well stand in your bedroom. Which isn't great if you (try to) sleep, since the location is close to a bar and a nice spot to hang for younger people.

Very nice stay at La Via Della Giudecca. We arrived a little late, which they accommodated (if arriving after 6pm usually you should call to arrange check-in) and were given a lovely little room on the top floor with a nice terrace in the sun. As with all hotels in Italy you will need to remember to pay the local charge on departure - it's €12. You have to pay this in cash, there's a number of ATMs...

We had a nice stay. The hotel is located close to the water and within walking distance of many attractions. There are plenty of dining options nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful. However, the hotel is old and dated, and it’s easy to see that. A renovation would really help. Hotel Posta is the perfect small hotel in a great location. If you have a car the public parking is steps away, walking around is a breeze. So many great restaurants. My room was perfect, roof top terrace, breakfast and a very friendly staff.

The location of the hotel is great, parking is easy, and the front desk clerk is enthusiastic and explains in detail how to park for free and how to avoid being ticketed. The hotel is relatively old, but it's decent. It's worth the price. The breakfast is relatively simple, but the hygiene is good.
