We had an amazing stay at this hotel. 10/10 place and easy access to Lago di Garda and other attractions.

A good hotel for a short stay, 3 or 4 days. Breakfast was varied and fresh. Service, as always, was very individual. Some were okay, others stood around chatting in the restaurant. Restsurant staff not always helpful beyond what was on the buffet. One floor has renovated rooms; they look very good. We were there twice and I recommend the hotel.

Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.Lovely ambience,rooms and environment. Rooftop breakfast was an experience in itself.Staff were outstanding throughout the hotel.Particularly Zane and Masimo who were perfect professionals and lovely people.Only small criticism would be the lack of beef and chicken on the menu but this is only a minor preferrence of mine.If you're thinking of booking this hotel do it now.

Beautiful location in fact stunning. The views from the top of the hotel were stunning. View across the lake surrounded by mountains. The hotel was small and friendly. The rooms are a generous size with everything you need. All of the staff are so friendly, courteous and deliver first class service. I would personally like to thank them for the excellent hospitality.

I have stayed in many hotels over the years and no matter how good they might be you can always find something to critise if you look hard enough. Yes, our room had a couple of things that needed refreshing, but is quickly forgotten about by just how good the hotel is. The staff were all brilliant and made our holiday a pleasure. From the time we first entered the hotel for check in... until leaving, the staff were fantastic!
The stand out members were Zane, Juri and Masimo as they were the frontline staff members we came in to contact each time we ate in the restaurant. All three were outstanding in their professionalism, customer service and polite manner. The shining star had to go to Zane, as she always had a smile on her face and was just outstanding.
Sadly the kitchen staff are the unsung hero's, as they toil away unnoticed. We enjoyed some amazing food and thank them all. Reception staff we equally friendly (Francesca in particular). We enjoyed sitting on the roof top eating breakfast with a view of the lake. Eggs can be cooked by a chef for your preference.
Location of the hotel is probably 15-20 min walk from Riva main square and local shopping centre is very close. Surrounding area was quite busy, but remote enough for peace. Local bus service close by too.
Thoroughly recommend the Kristal and the many other 4-5 star reviews here back ours up too.

This was our second visit to the Hotel Kristal Palace and it was just as fantastic as the first time. All the staff are very professional, well presented, friendly and welcoming. We stayed in a panorama room which was spacious, modern and had great amenities. along with daily housekeeping. The food is exceptional and drink are reasonably priced. About a 10 minute stroll from the centre but also has lots of bars and shops in the immediate vicinity including a supermarket. We were there to celebrate my daughter’s 30th birthday so I arranged with the hotel to have a cake made for her on our arrival. It was delivered to her room with some complimentary delights too! She was blown away by the extra little touches. The roof top has amazing views of the lake and mountains. We thoroughly enjoyed having breakfast served there. The evening entertainment was brilliant. Thank you for giving us an amazing experience, you should be proud of yourselves! We cannot wait to return once again. Riva has such a relaxing vibe with plenty of bars, shops and restaurants to choose from!

Spent a wonderful week at the Krystal Palace Hotel, a fabulous holiday location in spectacular surroundings, within easy reach of the centre of Riva del Garda. All of the hotel staff were exceptional and the rooftop pool and bar a real highlight with musical entertainment every evening. We particularly enjoyed the al fresco breakfast and of course the cocktails happy hour. The room we were initially assigned wasn’t ideal for us but we were offered an alternative almost immediately which was perfect. The food options were excellent too and the service couldn’t be faulted. Will definitely be back soon.

Wow !! What can I say , this hotel is Magnificent. Food - A la Carte every evening , service and food both exceptional , it is like going to an expensive restaurant every evening , with your own allocated table for your stay. Pool / Bar Terrace - absolutely beautiful, with the most magnificent view over the lake. Breakfast is served here , again this is brilliant in every aspect , on the Sunday morning we had breakfast by the pool and there was a guy playing soothing guitar music. Location is excellent, just round the Corner there are shops & Restaurants, you can then cut through to the lake and walk to the harbour / old town which is also lovely. Free City bikes also available from hotel. Can’t fault the place.

My partner and I have stayed in many hotels, and sadly this one fell far below what we would expect from a 4-star property — mainly due to the quality and upkeep of the rooms. We’re not overly fussy, but the issues we experienced went far beyond minor inconveniences. The hotel itself looks smart from the outside, the lobby is nice, the staff were friendly, and the location is beautiful, but unfortunately the rooms really let it down.

This was our last stop around Lake Garda at the end of our honeymoon, and instead of finishing on a high, it left us disappointed.

Check-in was smooth, and a kind staff member even surprised us with a honeymoon gift of chocolates, fruit, and wine. From our balcony we had a stunning mountain view, and at first everything seemed fine. But once we settled in, serious problems appeared.

In the bathroom we found a large brown streak on the toilet bowl which, when cleaned, was confirmed as faeces. The toilet seat itself was badly stained at the back, showing long-term neglect. The shower sprayed from the pipe connection above, drained so poorly that water built up around my feet, then leaked across the bathroom floor and into the room. We had to use nearly all our clean towels just to soak it up.

Other issues were obvious: dried snots on the wardrobe doors, blood splatter on tiles, shaky sliding wardrobes that felt like they could come off their tracks, and an overall dated, worn style. This was not what we had hoped for on our honeymoon.

We complained, and to her credit the receptionist was excellent — understanding and quick to act. She upgraded us to the executive suite, which looked more modern. Sadly, even there problems remained: a loose bathroom door lock, another unstable wardrobe, shower leaking through the sealant, and an air-conditioning unit that made a loud vibrating noise at night and disturbed our sleep.

Around the hotel, the corridors often smelled of cooking grease. The rooftop bar staff were friendly, but service was inconsistent and sometimes drinks never arrived. There was also no toilet on the rooftop, meaning you had to take the lift all the way down or go back to your room, which was inconvenient.

Smaller frustrations added up too. No iron was provided — only a limited paid pressing service. After travelling with suitcases, we had very creased clothes, some of which we simply couldn’t wear. We even tried using the hairdryer to remove creases, which of course didn’t work well. At the previous 4-star hotel we stayed at nearby, an iron was standard, so the difference was obvious.

Overall, while the staff were helpful and the setting is beautiful, the poor cleanliness, maintenance, and lack of some basics were far below the standard expected of a 4-star hotel. With proper care this place could be much better, but as it stands, it left us disappointed — especially for the end of our honeymoon. See video and photos attached.

The hotel itself is very nice. And the rooftop patio is beautiful and having breakfast up there is lovely although can be a bit hot. Rooms felt a little bit dated and had a few things that could’ve been fixed up but the bed are very comfortable. Shower has amazing water, pressure and the view from the balconies awesome. Overall, it’s an amazing very solid hotel hotel but it did but it did not say wow us like some of the other hotels we have stayed in. If this hotel fits your budget I would say value for the money is great. Go ahead and book it.

Horrible service in the reception! The older woman, grey hair is extremely impolite and rude! When we asked for a glass of hot water (group of people staying 1 week and leaving thousands of euros, she asked to buy tea and pay 2eu! This is ashaming! This lady is extremely rude! We never come back again because of her!!! She should fired as soon as possible

Absolutely not managing the parking. It is always full and it is impossible to find a spot there. It is also imposible to park anywhere near for free (full parking). You have to pay for public parking 2eur/hour. No one from the hotel is helping with that. They should not advertise the hotel with free parking. I do not want to spent my vacation looking for parking spot or paying additonal 30eur/day. Otherwise the hotel is good, but just wanted to warn everyone about this issue.

Thank you hotel Brione for a wonderful holiday. I stayed for one week with my mum, we loved it here and would like to return. All the staff were kind and attentive, clean rooms, comfy beds and with nice balcony, beautiful breakfast buffet and dinner options, great location. Great hotel for families the children can play safely.

The hotel is old, like most in Italy, but it is comfortable. The staff’s service is very good, although at night the reception is unattended. If you check out very early in the morning, there might not be anyone at the front desk, so I recommend doing it the day before.

Excellent hotel. Stayed here for 1 night in June. The room was great with 1 double bed and two single beds within. There was plenty of room for the 4 of us. Nice bar, and the restaurant for breakfast was good. The seating area outside the front offers a good location for drinks and snacks while watching Riva del Garda go by. The pool, although small, was good for the short use we got from it.
Would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Riva del Garda.
