Nice place top stay for the holidays with a beautiful view.

A great holiday in the middle of nature - alone - without neighbors. There were eleven of us and we really enjoyed our time. A very friendly contact with the landlady, who could be contacted at any time. A wide range of games (billiards, golf, card games, board games, etc.) is offered. Multiple refrigerators, freezers and ovens available. There is also a nice, large and cozy living room where you can spend time comfortably even when it rains.

A wonderful, quiet place to relax!
We were there for two weeks in June with two families - our children are 2x7J and 2x9J.
The property
is wonderful: large, green, well-groomed with plenty of space to play and romp around or explore the stream and build a dam when you're not splashing around in the pool.
The pool
itself is well-groomed and, even when unheated (or perhaps because of it), is a very pleasant refreshment!
We spent hours in the pool every day.
However, since the loungers are on the ground, you should be careful not to bring dirt into the pool with wet feet. I think it would be an advantage here if the area with the loungers were paved.
The toilet in the pool house is particularly practical. So you don't have to run upstairs and get everything wet there. Banal and practical!
The house
is large and very well furnished. We actually found everything we needed in the kitchen.
Additionally there is a washer and dryer and chest freezer.
Because of the thick walls, timely shading with the shutters is enough to keep the house from overheating.
The rustic charm of the mill really appealed to us.
However, the house is also quite noisy: through the beautiful floorboard ceiling you can hear normal conversations on the floor above or below. The separate, largest and most beautiful bedroom is so practical that the clairaudience does not arrive there.
Inside on the ground floor in the kitchen/dining room is a nice big table, but we always ate in the garden with enough shade from two large umbrellas. Just lovely!
Oh yes: we could also have a barbecue.
A highlight for the children was the separate house with the pool table and many other indoor and outdoor games. An ideal retreat for our little early risers!
Veronica
is very attentive and helpful as a hostess. She gave us a lot of great tips and immediately took care of things if something didn't work. In our case, the pool pump had failed.
Her right hand for all the manual work is Michele (at least that's how I understood his name). He comes by every few days, takes care of the garden, cleans the pool, picks up the rubbish and takes care of other handyman matters.
The final cleaning
is priced relatively high. The cleaning service comes every week, changes bed linen and towels and cleans the bathrooms.
All in all, the price is reasonable.
About the location:
The mill is very isolated in the mountains. It takes 20-30 minutes by car from the valley to the mill, although the 20 minutes are more for very experienced and courageous mountain road drivers. The descent to the mill is very steep and tightly curved - only possible with a normal car - no mobile home or caravan trailer!
The cozy mountain village of Coreglia Antelminelli can be reached by car in 10-15 minutes. There you will find a small supermarket as well as a few restaurants.
You can't rush to the bakery.
For shopping in the next large supermarket (near Barga) you have to plan 30 minutes in one direction, until Lucca about 1 hour.
For any other trip to the typical destinations in Tuscany you have to pass Lucca.
If you want to use the mill as a starting point to explore Tuscany from Siena to Florence and Pisa, it is better to look for something more central.
If you want peace and seclusion or also like to do outdoor activities, from mountain biking to hiking, this is the place for you!
We felt very comfortable and can recommend the mill with a clear conscience.
Also because of Veronica!
Thank you very much again!

A great holiday in breathtaking nature came to an end after 14 days. We came with seven people between the ages of 16 and 54 and are absolutely thrilled. The mill is very well equipped, the beds and the kitchen stand out. The pool is great, even if there weren't enough loungers for everyone. Barga can be reached in 20 minutes via a very winding road. Communication with Veronica and Rebecca was quick and uncomplicated at all times. Thanks a lot for this! Mulino del Pita is definitely worth a trip!

We managed to experience a week of real rest during this period of coexistence with Covid-19 (August 2020) and it was truly a wonderful holiday. Veronica was immediately super welcoming, helpful and kind; together with Michele they have always been able to meet our needs. The place is enchanting and there is not much to add: swimming pool with the possibility of being heated, games room and lots of outdoor space.
Suitable for those who want to spend time surrounded by nature and in the company of friends.
The only note could be to review the range of cookware available to guests; cooking for 8/9 people is not always easy and having adequate pots can help.
Anyway, in my opinion this does not detract from the 5 stars!
