Inexpensive accomodations in Tuscany

Beautiful small hotel just outside the gates of Lucca and easy walk into town Rooms were really nice. Clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and professional. Free parking on site. Would stay here again!

The stay overall was excellent. This was a last minute change to our itinerary, and we took their last room. The breakfast was wonderful, as well as the entire staff.

I have been coming to this hotel routinely since 1998! It is fantastic hotel with great service people. The rooms are comfortable, the breakfast buffet is very good, and the bar is worth a visit.

Location is a 5-minute taxi ride from train station and very accessible to all the major sites in Lucca. Breakfast was amazing, there is also an onsite restaurant if you do not feel up for walking to the city center

Good value for money. Good location. Good size of the rooms. I stayed just one night, so, I can not tell a lot about the hotel. But, when I come back to Montecatini, I return for the same hotel. This is a good point.

With a busy itinerary daily, my priorities for a room were a large bed, quietness, no strange smells, a convenient shower, and the ability to wash small items (like shorts and socks). This room largely fit the bill

The downsides were the weak shower pressure and a sink that wasn't practical for washing my son's socks. On the bright side, there was a water dispenser and a coffee machine for unlimited drinks

Stayed at Mercure Firenze Centro for two weeks. Perfect location as it is located 5 minutes away from Santa Maria Novella Train Station. Closed to nearby attractions by walking distance

Very surprised to have balcony in the room! Have water dispenser in the lobby. Can get sparkling water. Very close to central station. No slippers provided.

Good city hotel, breakfast was delicious, staff- helpful. There are parking places in front of the hotel, which is a bonus for your stay. Rooms are spacious and well furnished.

The shampoo and bath gel in the bathroom smells so good that I even bought their soap. The breakfast is average, but the experience of staying here is very good. The blue sky of Siena at night is so beautiful!

Having booked with another local hotel - The Athena - who were completely obnoxious and unhelpful regarding the parking. The staff were so helpful and accomplished ~ first class customer service

There is a bar , from where drinks can be taken onto the lovely terrace - a great place to watch the sun go down! Breakfasts are good, though with more emphasis on sweet cakes and less on cheese & ham than in most places

It’s probably worth mentioning that there are a couple of quirks which didn’t overly worry me: guests are requested to clear their breakfast tables when they finish, rather than having staff clear, clean and reset them as in most places

This is a fantastic hotel! The receptionist was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was plentiful, and the location was excellent. Highly recommended! I would definitely stay here again if I had the chance.

This hotel on the edge of central Siena is brilliantly situated, next to the city gate, but with great countryside views at the back. Our room was spacious and full of character, with great views and a good shower

You are literally 10mins drive from the Leaning Tower and Pisa attractions, and only 15mins from motorway for other Tuscany attractions. The room was clean and had what we needed, Wi-Fi, comfy beds, fridge and fans

It's a beautiful place in national park very close to Pisa, easy to cycle to see tower . From Your window you can see a large stable (previously used for the king's horses) Little magic place

We booked as a B&B as a base to explore Tuscany. It was a great choice but you do need a hire car. Located 20 mins from airport it’s convenient for arrival but really quiet

Wonderful location in Santo Spirito, walking distance to many delicious restaurants & bars (and wine windows)! Lively streets at night and active mornings from businesses loading in nearby which can be heard from the room but this was worth it being close to all of the sights (10 Min to Boboli Gardens, 15 Min to Piazza della Signoria & Uffizi Gallery)

Staff was helpful & pleasant upon arrival, and otherwise we were able to access the elevator & room without needing to check in each time. Keypad access needed after 8:00PM. Room was very clean, shower was very small

Front desk staff was amazing and very friendly and helpful . The room had all the amenities needed including fridge and hair dryer. Only thing they could improve is screens on windows for mosquitoes.

The location is excellent as it's quiet and you're still a ten minute walk into the main tourist area. There's a laundromat a block away. The wifi worked great and there was the option of an elevator

What you see from the cuisine was "Tagliatelle faii a mano con ragù bianco al grigio del Casentino" and, as a main course, "Tagliata al pepe verde con sformatino agli asparagi" (I forgot to take the snapshot after starting to eat) + a bottle of "vino sfuso" + dessert (I skipped the traditional Tuscan starters) = 25€

Il Maggese is a beautiful country-side location in the heart of Tuscany run by a very nice family! Flavia and her husband are such nice people! The old family mansion has several appartments, decorated in an old Tuscany style

The property is surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and fruit trees, and the abundant produce is all there for you to taste at breakfast and also at dinner if you choose to eat at the property

Flavia and her staff cook everything with heart and soul and most of the food is 0km, fresh from farm to table…you can taste it too! The breakfast tomatoes are the best I have ever eaten and I will be dreaming about them for a long time

Flavia was so helpful when we needed to book restaurants both in Cortona and further afield, and she was always available if anything was required. We were sad to leave and hope to return again
