Inexpensive accomodations in Tuscany

Good value for money. Good location. Good size of the rooms. I stayed just one night, so, I can not tell a lot about the hotel. But, when I come back to Montecatini, I return for the same hotel. This is a good point.

And every time it blows us away on how amazing the staff, the Cleanliness, and the breakfast are!!! As a current Hotel GM in Massachusetts, I could only wish my staff was this good

The staff are truly fantastic, always available and very knowledgeable. The food is excellent from breakfast to dinner, the dishes are plentiful, fresh and above all good

The hotel is very close to the train station, just a 5-minute walk away. It's also conveniently located within a 10 to 15-minute walk of attractions like the Duomo and the Accademia Gallery

The next morning, it was less than a 2km walk to the Uffizi Gallery, where we managed to get early bird tickets for 8:15 AM. The room was spacious, and the breakfast was excellent

Hotel is very close to Florence S. M. Novella Station. Our room, which is a triple room, is spacious and has a balcony. Staff are polite and professional. Good breakfast.

It's incredibly noisy, and it's that low, vibrating kind of sound that's hard to describe. The breakfast was delicious, but I'll never stay here again

Location is a 5-minute taxi ride from train station and very accessible to all the major sites in Lucca. Breakfast was amazing, there is also an onsite restaurant if you do not feel up for walking to the city center

With a busy itinerary daily, my priorities for a room were a large bed, quietness, no strange smells, a convenient shower, and the ability to wash small items (like shorts and socks). This room largely fit the bill

The downsides were the weak shower pressure and a sink that wasn't practical for washing my son's socks. On the bright side, there was a water dispenser and a coffee machine for unlimited drinks

Stayed at Mercure Firenze Centro for two weeks. Perfect location as it is located 5 minutes away from Santa Maria Novella Train Station. Closed to nearby attractions by walking distance

Very surprised to have balcony in the room! Have water dispenser in the lobby. Can get sparkling water. Very close to central station. No slippers provided.

A hand towel, after our use, had visible stains and we placed it on the floor for it to be changed the next housekeeping. However, it was folded, and placed back on the rack instead of being replaced

The orange juice was an unnatural red colour and tasted like powdered juice mixed with water. We had breakfast for two mornings. On the third morning, we switched to cereal and milk

The mattress springs were broken, and I felt like I was falling off the bed when turning in my sleep. Air-conditioning worked well, and the toilet had a bidet and shower

The plain milk was fine, but the chocolate milk was BEYOND HORRBLE. It tasted like milk mixed with unsweetened cocoa powder, with no sweetness and a spoilt taste

Wonderful location in Santo Spirito, walking distance to many delicious restaurants & bars (and wine windows)! Lively streets at night and active mornings from businesses loading in nearby which can be heard from the room but this was worth it being close to all of the sights (10 Min to Boboli Gardens, 15 Min to Piazza della Signoria & Uffizi Gallery)

Staff was helpful & pleasant upon arrival, and otherwise we were able to access the elevator & room without needing to check in each time. Keypad access needed after 8:00PM. Room was very clean, shower was very small

Front desk staff was amazing and very friendly and helpful . The room had all the amenities needed including fridge and hair dryer. Only thing they could improve is screens on windows for mosquitoes.

The location is excellent as it's quiet and you're still a ten minute walk into the main tourist area. There's a laundromat a block away. The wifi worked great and there was the option of an elevator

Very clean swimming pool, equipped, immersed in the sun. Hectares of olive trees, relaxing walks to a beautiful lake, in which to swim, or kayak among the herons and kingfishers

What you see from the cuisine was "Tagliatelle faii a mano con ragù bianco al grigio del Casentino" and, as a main course, "Tagliata al pepe verde con sformatino agli asparagi" (I forgot to take the snapshot after starting to eat) + a bottle of "vino sfuso" + dessert (I skipped the traditional Tuscan starters) = 25€

In the street of the Hotel there is often parking even at night, otherwise there is a huge parking lot at the end of the street. Convenient supermarket close to 150m if you want to grab something to eat on the beach

Also excellent for the location, in 15 minutes maximum you are everywhere, whether it is Porto Ercole, Porto Santo Stefano or Orbetello and in 30 minutes (traffic permitting) you are in Grosseto

Il Maggese is a beautiful country-side location in the heart of Tuscany run by a very nice family! Flavia and her husband are such nice people! The old family mansion has several appartments, decorated in an old Tuscany style
