Superb place in beautiful surroundings. The food was astounding: a tagliere with local produce to start, a pigeon with vegetable caponata and a mixed grill with grilled radicchio and pumpkin {bitter and sweet}, a fragola grape sorbetto to finish. The pigeon in particular fell off the bone and we all know how difficult that is. The whole menu was full of "different" dishes that couldn't be found everywhere...

One of my best stays. The staff is super friendly and always happy to help. We ended up extending our stay with one night. Food is amazing made with fresh local ingredients from the local area. Highly recommend!

Unfortunately, my husband was ill while we were here, but I cannot say enough about how helpful and kind the staff was! It is an incredibly beautiful location with delicious food and excellent wine as well. Most of all, though, every member of the staff is kind and helpful, and I am so grateful for all the help. We had three nights and enjoyed it completely. Such a lovely place with an incredible view. The staff had trouble speaking english but we managed to understand each other. The breakfast was not the most exciting but the restaurant made the most wonderful food of local ingredients. The wine was great too. We would love to go back.

Passing through on a trip, we booked a night at this hotel in the afternoon. I had a special request, which was fully accommodated by the friendly and attentive staff. The size and comfort of the bed and the cleanliness of the room were noteworthy. Ample parking is available. My family of two little kids and husband stayed here and it was fantastic. We have travelled all over Europe and this was the best place we have stayed: the pool was great, the food was amazing, the vineyard and wines were exquisite. The staff is very helpful and kind. The structure is immersed in a bucolic context between vineyards and olive trees, extremely relaxing. Beds weren't the best, pool was closed and dirty but it was still cold weather. Breakfast was cold and basic. Not a lot around we took a shuttle bus to La Spezia for the train station. Staff in the restaurant were not friendly.

The first night we couldn’t sleep because Darcy was snoring and Xavier kept us awake. The bunk bed is really scary and creaky but other than that it was comfortable. It was really hot and there was a heat ray in the bathroom. Second night we slept well and the lady that serves food was very nice and sigma!

They were very helpful when we had a broken window on our car because of a break-in. They let us park it next to the reception, and we could see it from the balcony in our room. Loved it!

In August, my family and I decided to stay a few days at this splendid property. We had a wonderful time. The hospitality and friendliness were excellent, and the rooms and spaces were beautiful, with a picturesque view of the Magra River. The breakfast was excellent, with quality products. Dinner at the restaurant attached to the property was also excellent.

In the first week of September, I visited this splendid property with friends. Besides its enviable location at the mouth of the Magra River, I found the decor modern and practical. The hi-tech breakfast is truly remarkable: for just €8, you can enjoy both a savory focaccia and a sweet brioche, all accompanied by coffee and orange juice. I sincerely hope to return and stay longer.

Good pity they don't make pizza at noon

My wife and I stayed at the Maison for 3 nights, It was a wonder ful experience. The service was great, the breakfast was delightful, and everyone was SO friendly. We had planed on going back there this year in October, but we were hit with the corona virus. Hopefully next year will be different.

The restaurant has changed its name and is now called IL REZZAGLIO, from the name of the hand-launched net, typical of the Magra river. Hospitality is good but the location is too far. It's like a remote area.

For me it's not worth for my holiday (1 night/149€) also not included breakfast 5€. Wifi is weak. The first time i opened bathroom it was smelly.The bed is not a big bed. But it's 2 single beds connected. Feel uncomfortable. Check in time : 16pm Check out time 10am is too cruel. But the location is fine. Behind next to the sea. I really like this hotel. It has some character and charm. It has chairs outside and in the garden for breakfast. Our room had a nice valley view all the way to the water far in the distance. The shower had great water pressure and got really hot. Parking can be limited and challenging to make a U-turn down a hill of gravel.

We were accommodated for 4 nights. Everything was fine and we enjoyed our stay. The location is nice and a starting point for trips. Close to a dog-friendly public beach. Dogs stay for free. Very satisfied. I was an overnigt guest on 1st of July 2018. Rooms are 20+ sq meters and all lead to a common huge balcony.
