In August, my family and I decided to stay a few days at this splendid property. We had a wonderful time. The hospitality and friendliness were excellent, and the rooms and spaces were beautiful, with a picturesque view of the Magra River. The breakfast was excellent, with quality products. Dinner at the restaurant attached to the property was also excellent.

In the first week of September, I visited this splendid property with friends. Besides its enviable location at the mouth of the Magra River, I found the decor modern and practical. The hi-tech breakfast is truly remarkable: for just €8, you can enjoy both a savory focaccia and a sweet brioche, all accompanied by coffee and orange juice. I sincerely hope to return and stay longer.

I just checked in. A disreputable bathroom with mold all around the shower. A very old room. The asking price is a rip-off. I need to get to 200 characters but I don't know what else to say. All that dirt around the shower and...

Terrible service, they were doing reforms in the lower floor and the noise all day was very uncomfortable, restaurant only opens under request, can’t order just a coffee, you have to book a full breakfast or they will not open or serve you a coffee, the check out is at 11 but they don’t tell you. Nobody ever at the reception. They cut the water pressure so I couldn’t take a shower, the reason was because I was supposed to check out at 11, (check out everywhere is at 12:00) so at 11:30 there was no more water. if you complain, they threaten you to proceed legally. Truly a rip off.

My wife and I stayed at the Maison for 3 nights, It was a wonder
ful experience. The service was great, the breakfast was delightful, and everyone was SO friendly. We had planed on going back there this year in October, but we were hit with the corona virus. Hopefully next year will be different.

The restaurant has changed its name and is now called IL REZZAGLIO, from the name of the hand-launched net, typical of the Magra river.
Very nice restaurant practically on the Magra, it is possible to eat on the veranda, if the weather permits, excellent service and cuisine that uses local products with the imagination of chef Cesare. The desserts are excellent, the cellar is discreet. Open until December. Recommended.
