Poggio dell'Olivo in Pitigliano

A place that exudes peace. The absence of noise and pollution, many beautiful and fragrant plants. The simplicity but at the same time comfort make the stay very pleasant. The splendid towns of Sovana, Pitigliano and Sorano are close and easily reachable. Good network of walking routes that cross the tuff caves and Etruscan archaeological sites. Near the thermal waterfalls of Saturnia and Lake Bolsena .... we have visited all these places and we were thrilled.
Excellent local cuisine ...
I can't tell you the negative points.

The agriturismo Poggio dell Olivo near Pittigliano is a small, very nice complex with three apartments that share the pool and outdoor area. The washing machine is shared between the three units (extra charge) The apartments are in a very, very quiet location. It takes about 10-15 minutes by car to Pittigliano (with supermarket & restaurants). Sovana, a small village 3.5 km away, has only one bakery and three restaurants. Lake Bolsena with beautiful bathing opportunities is approx. 45 minutes away by car, the sea (Orbetello) approx. 1 1/4 hours.
The apartments all have 2 bedrooms with a double bed or 2 single beds. Attention: the two bedrooms of Casa B are only separated by wall units and have no doors! Otherwise very clean and well maintained with good facilities. Landlady is on site every day to take care of the garden.
Highly recommended for people looking for tranquility. Possibly families too, but there really isn't much around it and the pool isn't that big (diameter about 3.5 m).

In a splendid location, quiet and surrounded by nature, a farmhouse equipped with all comforts and a very kind owner. Recommended.
