UNA hotel Villa dei Platani, housed in a nicely renovated Art Deco villa, is located very close to Foligno's train station but in a very quiet street and the city centre is about 10' walk. The room we were given was nice and clean but unfortunately on the ground floor, never a great option! Moreover, the TV didn't work properly and the A/C needs to be switched on/off from reception, which seems absurd. However, the staff was extremely kind and when we had some problem they solved it brilliantly. Breakfast is good enough.

I booked a room at Villa dei Platani directly through their website. The confirmation email clearly stated the reservation was “awaiting payment” and would only be confirmed once the deposit was processed. Before any charge was made, I canceled the reservation in writing, well in advance. The hotel acknowledged my cancellation and instead offered a voucher, despite no formal booking confirmation ever being issued. Then, days later, they processed the full charge anyway. This was not an oversight—it was a deliberate and misleading act. When questioned, they refused to refund the amount and ignored follow-up communication. I’ve filed a dispute with my credit card provider and am sharing this to warn others. Be extremely cautious if booking directly. This is not the conduct of a professional or trustworthy operation.

This hotel is very nice, clean and boutique. More than that, the staff are wonderful! Anil was at the front desk and could not have been more helpful, kind and attentive. My wife and I are so grateful for all of his help … when we were there, the taxi/trains went on strike the day that we were traveling and found ourselves stranded. Anil went out of his way to make sure we reached our destination. He and the staff really care about their guests and I can not recommend this hotel enough.

I stayed in this hotel for work reasons. Due to a fault, I think with the boiler, I was without hot water for almost the entire stay. I have not received any refund, discount or anything else from the facility to remedy the serious inconvenience. Never again.

Good charming hotel near the station and the historic center, friendly and helpful staff, good services, rooms with dark colors and bathroom without window, the only notable flaw, good breakfast in a cramped environment! Parking available!

It is a boutique hotel in a converted old Italian palazzo. The facilities are excellent but in the room there was not even a kettle to make coffee, there was a mini refrigerator with two cans of soda. However, the unforgivable thing is that the Wi-Fi connection did not work inside the room and they use an open network that is not secure. Maybe they are used to receiving local clients who do not need to use wifi

Its location was great, in a quiet residential street but within walking distance of the centre. Finding it and parking were easy. It was a fine, renovated building. The hotel staff were helpful and efficient. Breakfast was good, again with excellent staff looking after us. Room was comfortable and spacious with efficient a/c and there was a pleasant outside area. Foligno itself was an unexpected treat, such a nice place to walk around with excellent eating and drinking opportunities.
