Stale, old bread and only three tea bags in total for three guests for two nights. Four old, very thin towels in total for two guests for two nights.Bedroom and bathroom doors were a fire hazard as only my husband was able to open them. We were forced to leave the bedroom and bathroom doors unlocked and open! Narrow, steep staircase to get to third floor lodging. The only positive is that it is nicely decorated and well-located.

This house is very nice and cozy. I was very happy to stay there with my husband. The owner is friendly and communicative. This is a family business and I wish them to good guests.

I saw that my review was responded to, but I can't view it and respond back. I confirm that my husband is 182 cm tall and had his feet outside the mattress. As for the shower mixer, I tried several times to stabilize the temperature at maximum heat, but it kept fluctuating back to cold. Having said that, however, these are small things, we really liked the b&b and if it happens we will definitely return. I still rated it 5 out of 5

It is on a very busy street with lots of pedestrian traffic and automobile traffic. Bedrooms were very noisy and tiny. Check-in was difficult since no one spoke much English. So we didn't know that we had to turn on the hot water. There were NO toiletries so I had to buy them. The wifi didn't work, which would normally be fine since we wanted to decompress, but in this case my children were unable to submit their schoolwork. Breakfast was horrible, so I went to buy eggs but the stove had no gas so I couldn't cook them. I paid an additional 30 euros per day for breakfast, which consisted of one slice of pineapple, a small bowl of plain/sour yogurt, a piece of bread (from the grocery store) and a strange apple/pear juice. The next day was the same but without pineapple. I went to discuss my concerns with the woman at check-in and she became belligerent and hostile. She told me to get out. I went to a nearby cafe with wifi to book a new room and we checked out. While I was at the cafe, the woman in charge of breakfast barged into the apartment and yelled at my teenage daughter, and brought us cake (WHAT?). When I emailed the property manager to reiterate my feelings, I said that if they refunded my final night I would not leave a negative review. The response was that I threatened them by demanding my money back. They also said that I physically "kicked out" the breakfast woman from the property, and that I had more guests than I declared on my reservation. None of this is true. And then a few hours later they sent me a message asking what time I would like breakfast the next day. I was so offended and confused! This became a complete nightmare. Stay far away from Casa delle Fate!

It is located in the historic center, a stone's throw from the Basilica of San Francesco, the location is very convenient for visiting the city on foot.
Very neat and spotless rooms, comfortable beds. Very helpful owners.

Very nice b and b. The owners are very kind and helpful in indicating the exact location of the rooms both verbally and with photos sent to us via WA. Parking at the high parking lot of the cemetery (today July 2022 free) you go down the staircase and you are just a few steps from the Porta San Giacomo and 200 meters from the Basilica of San Francesco. Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel. We were assigned the Giorgio room which is located in the basement at street level with a blind bathroom but equipped with a fan. The room is a bit humid and not very bright and therefore permeates a bit of a damp smell (it might be useful to put a perfumer). Room furnished as in a small imaginative themed music box. Quite comfortable bed and good room temperature but, being at street level, the noises of cars and passers-by are very close and during the first part of the night a bit annoying. The included breakfast is served in a higher room by a very kind lady who serves a homemade cake, slices heated at the moment to be filled with butter, jams and honey, and a hot drink of your choice. All delicious and served with a smile. In my opinion the Giorgio room has room for improvement in terms of comfort, compared to the superior rooms. Having said that I would recommend it for the courtesy and kindness of the staff and for the location.
