This hotel is a contradiction in terms. There's no getting away from the beautiful view and the rooms are spacious, although I had a junior suite which was not a suite as the norm, it's only 1 large room and not a separate lounge room as you would normally expect as a suite. The staff are very good, especially the restaurant staff, there was a man on reception who was somewhat rude. I had a fridge that didn't work, the housekeeper came and tried to repair, still not working so went to reception to ask for another fridge. The man on reception was rude and started being derogatory about me to his boss, I know a little Italian and didn't appreciate it, I didn't let on and when he came to change the fridge he again started making comments to his colleague, very poor. Be aware there are no kettles or any drink making facilities in the rooms, the owner arguing with a guest in reception stating he's never had a complaint about it in 20 years!, yes he has, a friend of mine was there in June and raised it. There is a tea/coffee station in reception which isnt brought out until 11am. No hotel shuttle so expect to pay €150/160 Euros from the airport in a taxi. Plenty of other hotels with the same view so choose one of those, Hotel Du Lac is a better choice.

Enjoyed a lovely stay at this hotel in September. Although a little dated, our room had a fantastic lake view. If this is important to you, book direct with the hotel and make a request rather than booking with a third party. We found the direct price to be competitive with booking sites
The hotel is a located 15 minutes walk from Malcesine and can be accessed by a beautiful lake path.
The buildings and grounds are superb. Very friendly staff and lovely breakfast. Highly recommended

Had a wonderful stay for 9 nights. Our room was amazing, large balcony, comfy bed and the best air con. We swam in the pool every day and the hotel never felt busy or overcrowded. The best lake view imaginable and there was always a choice of sun loungers throughout the day. The staff were super friendly and were always cheerful and helpful especially the restaurant and house keeping staff. Most the staff spoke Italian, English and German fluently. We loved the lakeside walk all the way from the hotel into malcesine. It’s away from the road so super peaceful and beautiful. The bars and restaurants on the lake in front of the hotel were great too. We loved its location as it was a bit away from the town so very peaceful and relaxing. Malcesine was very busy but fun to visit for the bars and restaurants. Tips for future hotel guests> borrow the hotel bikes as there’s a great cycle lane ride along the lake both north and south. You don’t need to cycle with traffic so safe for the inexperienced cyclist. Book the cable car in advance if you want to go hiking in the mountains. Otherwise you will queue for ages as it’s quite infrequent. If you plan to visit Limone by ferry, it gets direct sun in the morning so is much cooler in the afternoon when the town is in the shade. We loved our stay and will be back again one day. Highly recommend. The most relaxing holiday we have ever had. Thank you

Very easy to get to and extremely peaceful and quite ambiance.
If you are looking to relax? This is the place. Bar is always ready to serve.
Plus: Room 311 has obviously been just remodeled, so that was a plus. The view of the lake and the property gardens is spectacular. The steam room and hot sauna are very well kept.
Recommendations: The pool should be tempered (for cold weather). Spa should have some music playing (relax/meditation) so we don't hear the music from the bar when trying to relax. The door in the Salt room should be frosted, to allow more privacy when getting a massage.

The hotel is full of character and charm. We requested a room in the main building. This gave us a view of the lake one way and the mountains from the other window. The room was spotless as was the rest of the hotel.
We received a warm welcome from friendly and professional staff. We had only booked bed and breakfast but having dined in on our first night we quickly changed to half board and were not disappointed! The food was beautifully presented and delicious.
The infinity pool looks out onto the lake and is set in well kept grounds. Malcesine is a 15 minute walk away with lots to see and do but we were more than happy chilling by the pool and making use of the spa.
We had a fantastic memorable stay.

Stunning location, friendly staff and great amenities. The weather was rainy and not great when we went but that didn’t impact our stay because there was still so much to do at the hotel and it was so cosy.

We’ve been coming to this hotel for years, wonderful ambience, spacious, renovated rooms, friendly service and the best views on the lake, as well as on the castle and Malcesine city
(5 min Walk to the Beach, 15 min Walk into town)

The hotel Bellevue Sanlorenzo over-looking Lake Garda is a place to stay , the beauty of the hotel gardens with lime, lemon and olives tree's in abundance the flowers and lawns with a pool overlooking the lake the beauty of the place is amazing , with sauna and well centre not to be missed , the restaurant offers an excellent menu each evening and a wine list to suit every taste the staff are 100% and take care of the guest's need's at all times , the room's have wonderful view's of said lake and the hotel itself is only 15 minutes from the the lake shore which has a great walk-way into the town of Malcesine with a remarkable Castle which is open to the public and there is also a cable car service from the town to the Peak of Monti Baldi which has great view's of the whole lake and is also a national park under protection , the hotel is well run under the eye's of owner Reggero who with Valentina the head receptionist make sure all the need's of their guests are catered for etc , this hotel is not to be missed it is part of the furniture in God's back Garden and you will return to this place many times for its sheer beauty and to a wonderful hotel in the right spot over looking a piece of Heaven in God's back Garden at the foot of Monti Baldi . I remain Mr& Mrs John Hannah .
