Hotel Ca' Dogaressa in Venice

+ What we loved the most in the hotel is the view from the windows and absolutely calm area. It’s close to the railway and bus station, so if travel with bags it’s pretty easy to get to the hotel. Be aware that check in is produced in another building. That was a bit misunderstanding for us but we rapidly found the Leon Hotel where checked in. Anyway thanks for this experience and time we had while being in Venice. Hope back soon.

This was my second stay, first was 2 years ago. Great eating options near by. The ferry to the airport is short walking distance. Front desk of check in location were bilingual and very courteous.

Rooms look old-fancy, with beautiful marble mixed with aging but intricate wood finishes. Functionally, totally fine, and I’m sure the old-fancy style is standard for Venice. No elevator, of course, for our second-story room.
Staff was responsive but no front desk presence is in the building. Hallways/stairs were dark when we left early in the morning.

The staff were extremely helpful, kind, and accommodating and really contributed to what was a pleasant stay. The location was conveniently close to the train station, and was right on the canal with many dining options. The room was very well cleaned and nicely decorated, quiet, with means to keep the room dark in the morning.

Property was well appointed but small, no lift but close to water taxi and dining

Lovely stay at this hotel. Really convenient location, and only a 10 min walk from the train station. The interior of the room is beautiful, very unique and pretty.

We loved this place. The location was great and the room itself was beautiful. I was almost sad leaving my beautiful room.

If you’re looking for a room for canal view, then this is not the one you have to choose. Only two rooms out of nine got the view, then you should try your luck then!
The first night I was given the only room on G/F which is a dark room, no window at all. I felt suffocated. Even there’s one in the toilet but mosquitoes kept coming and going, and it’s for ventilation purpose when you take a shower.
After shower, I dried my hair by the equipped hairdryer. It’s weak and then burnt! White smoke came out from the back of the hairdryer. I was worried there would be a fire too! And I immediately texted the hotel and requested for the change of room! I couldn’t sleep well on my first night in Venice as my hair was half dry and the burnt smoke took time to vanish as we opened the only window in the toilet.
The next day, they replied me and agreed to change the room for us! This is the thing I did think the hotel is good!
