Ito Ryokuyu is a special place. We spent 3 nights in the Mikura room and could not be happier. The room was spacious and boasted of beautiful and traditional Japanese design from the tatami mats to the wood carvings

The private soup in the room is simply amazing! The room was equipped with a set of gifts of Sekkisei, as well as a small bag that matched the kimono, which repeatedly reminded us that we could take it away as a gift

If I could give 100 stars for service, I would. This place was exceptional, the staff are so incredibly nice and their attention to detail is unmatched. The food is incredible and the rooms are very authentic

There are a-lot of cute places to eat in walking distance but you should opt in for dinners at the ryoken. If you are planning a trip to Ito or even Hakone, this is an excellent place to stay

This was a really incredible stay! The staff was so welcoming, kind, and patient. Food was delicious and plentiful, and the baths were wonderfully relaxing

The staff was exceptionally friendly and professional, offering service above and beyond anything expected. We look forward to the day we can return :)

Extremely helpful and hospitable staff, even gave us a ride to the station after we checked out! The Japanese style room itself we stayed in was spacious and comfortable, so this coupled with a traditional shared bath was a great experience!

A very satisfying stay! The hotel had a nostalgic Japanese style, especially the many Japanese decorations and paintings in the room, which made me feel like I was transported back in time (although I don't know what it used to be like) 😉

The room was very clean, and the hotel's private onsen (hot spring bath) could be booked using the provided QR code for your own private use. The owner was very welcoming and would take you to tourist attractions

A taxi from Jogasaki Coast back to the hotel was only 1990 yen, which was also very cost-effective. I would recommend this hotel to my friends, and I would choose it again if I were to visit again

Rather, every aspect of our stay in Ito was intertwined with the wonderful owner and thoughtful staff. From our arrival to departure, our experience was nothing but pleasant

The hotel also recommended great restaurants nearby, including Daiso, a supermarket, a drugstore, and BR Ice Cream. The next day, the hotel owner drove us to Mount Omuro

I stayed here with my family on New Year's Eve. The view from the balcony was amazing, and the room was very clean. Breakfast was delivered to our room, and we enjoyed it at our leisure

The staff were so nice to pick us up and drop us off at Usami station. The hotel has a great pool, we really enjoyed swimming in. Our room was so big we felt like kings staying here, wrapped up in our robes

The stay was really good and the only downside was the location as it is situated at the bottom mid hill. The steep slope gave some fear factor that the car not being able to handle it

However, the service and extra miles by the host was really unforgettable. Providing full range of beverages and full breakfast by the sea

The scenery was amazing, it was beautiful, the facilities were solid, the pool and private open-air bath were amazing, the food was delicious, the owner and staff were kind, and we didn't want to leave! Thank you so much!

Incredibly clean, spacious and comfortable rooms, amazing sea views, a nice little pool for cooling off in, as well as private and shared Onsen. They were able to accommodate us and provided a vegetarian breakfast

Until now, I have used many pensions, but from the moment I entered the entrance of this pension, I was healed by being surrounded by cute figurines and paintings of dolphins and angels

After visiting Kawazu to see the cherry blossoms, we stayed two consecutive nights with meals booked in advance

There are many tourist attractions and experience spots nearby, so I was able to do a lot even in a short time! On the morning of my last day of my 3-day, 2-night stay, a cat came to visit me, and it was so cute and comforting

This is a wonderful pension where you can really feel the warmth of the couple. When I arrived at the building, I was greeted by dolphin figurines at the entrance. Inside, there were many angel- and dolphin-themed goods

Baths get dirty easily, and I'm sure many people use them, so I'm amazed that they've managed to keep them so clean. I tried all three types of bath, and each one felt amazing. My skin felt so smooth and relaxed

Breakfast and dinner were varied and delicious, made with fresh local ingredients and expertly seasoned by the chef. There were also three private onsen (hot springs) available, which were very comfortable

The bath was private, so I was able to relax in it, and all the food was absolutely delicious. Since I was pregnant, they made some adjustments to the food. I recommend it! I would definitely like to stay again

The daikon radish with sweet bean paste (?) and the mackerel were especially delicious. The owners were also very thoughtful, and it was a great change of pace. I would like to come again if I have the opportunity

The steak in particular was lean but flavorful, and was exquisite when eaten with foie gras and sauce. The breakfast was healthy and delicious Japanese food that I wanted to eat every morning

I stayed here with two friends on a road trip. The food was excellent, including the pan-fried salmon raised in the freshwater of Mount Fuji, which was refreshing yet richly flavorful

The guest bathroom was a bit compact, but the open-air hot spring bath was more than enough. I recommend this hotel for those who want to enjoy delicious food and wine in peace

The food was delicious the last time I visited, so I wanted to eat there again, so I came back with a friend. Everything at dinner was beautifully presented and delicious

What I did not know however, was that this reservation did not include any room cleaning services for the entire stay, no taking of garbage or towel replacement, no bed making, nothing at all

The hotel stated that I visited the front desk every day to get towels and never mentioned the need to clean the room

We went with a full family and dog. I could use a microwave but then I'm gaijin so different needs. Hot spring was clean but the water wasn't hot enough for me

I only came to the front dest 2 times during my stay, and this is because room cleaning staff entered my room on 2 occasions, so I was expecting them to clean or take out the trash, but they did nothing and left

I stayed at Izu Ippeki Lake Lakeside Terrace for 5 nights booking though Trip. Be warned that problems may occur when booking through travel websites such as this one. I booked a standard room with no meals

My recent stay was at the beginning of August, WHEN THE STATE OF EMERGENCY AND COVID RESTRICTIONS HAD BEEN LIFTED. It is no longer standard practice to exclude cleaning services at hotels in Japan

It's located in a beautiful place.The hotel follows all covid sanitization process. A budget friendly,lovely room. Totally recommended if you are traveling by car.

Local run motel. Quite relax to stay. Building and room are kind of worn out. However it situated in the middle of Ito, getting around is great.

The pan-fried fish was impressive, with a crispy texture that made it difficult to tell how the scales were cooked. The main course of game (venison) was also very tender, with no unpleasant odor

While it's true that the road to get there is a steep mountain path, the rooms are antique and somewhat dated, and the beds are a little uncomfortable, all of these shortcomings can be forgiven for the single course meal

The most beautiful hotel I've ever stayed in in Japan, even though the price was probably a quarter or a fifth of other hotels I've booked. The room was incredibly spacious, with both tatami mats and beds

You can email the hotel, and they will pick you up from Izu-Kogen Station. The property itself was nice, and all appliances were working

We contacted the hotel for a shuttle service, which was a 5-minute drive away, though it's quite a walk. The hotel is very nice, like a resort

When we arrived, the place was already pre-heated, and we received all amenities at the front desk. Personal hot spring was also nice

Buruumaaburu stayed 4 to 5 times a year due to the courses he took from 2015 to 2018. The mother of the pension is a straight and comfortable person, and the father is a person who has a big body and mind to support it

The beds were huge, and the view of the rising sun from the hot bath was magnificent! We had a dinner with 12 different dishes and it for me it was an amazing opportunity to taste different foods from the Izu-region:) Also the breakfast was great, and there was free welcome drink & coffee available at the lobby

Perfect Family Base in Izukogen Rating: 5/5 Hotel Village proved to be an outstanding choice for our family stay in Izukogen. The room size was ideal for families, providing comfortable space for everyone

Location: Perfectly situated for visiting Mount Omuro and the local zoo. The area offers numerous attractions, and the hotel serves as an excellent base for exploring everything Izukogen has to offer

Highlights: The breakfast was fantastic with excellent variety and quality. The onsen was a real treat after busy days exploring, offering genuine relaxation for the whole family

Verdict: Highly recommended for families seeking comfortable accommodation with traditional Japanese amenities whilst exploring this beautiful region

Breakfast and dinner were excellent with a great variety of food. We had a really good experience! The hotel even has ping-pong and billiards tables, plus KTV

My husband and I stayed with two other couples, a group of six. It was a beautiful, open place surrounded by greenery and nature. It was very quiet at night, as it was at the end of a road and next to a forest

The hot spring bath had large windows, allowing for a relaxing soak. I recommend bathing before dark so you can enjoy the beautiful nature outside. The owner was very friendly and easy to talk to

It was a nice pension that was friendly and not pushy, and everything was just right. Even though pets are free, don't complain about not having this or that, just make sure you bring your own

We didn't bring our dog, but there was plenty of space for them to run around outside, so I think they'd enjoy it. It also seemed safe, as only cars coming to the pension would be allowed in

The accommodation was equipped with the bare necessities, allowing us to escape our busy lives and relax in nature, making for a wonderful stay

I always used this place with my dog. The dog run is also on a steep slope, which my dogs loved. Lake Ippeki was also fun to walk around
