The hotel's overall environment is good, with both outdoor and indoor hot springs. However, a female receptionist at the front desk saw us discussing in Chinese and rolled her eyes and shook her head at another colleague.

We got caught in a snowstorm in Izu, which brought traffic to a standstill. The staff personally drove us to the train station, in two separate trips, for which we are incredibly grateful. The hotel's breakfast and dinner were excellent, and the service was superb. I would definitely recommend this place next time!

Hotel Village proved to be an outstanding choice for our family stay in Izukogen. The room size was ideal for families, providing comfortable space for everyone.
Highlights: The breakfast was fantastic with excellent variety and quality. The onsen was a real treat after busy days exploring, offering genuine relaxation for the whole family.
Location: Perfectly situated for visiting Mount Omuro and the local zoo. The area offers numerous attractions, and the hotel serves as an excellent base for exploring everything Izukogen has to offer.
Verdict: Highly recommended for families seeking comfortable accommodation with traditional Japanese amenities whilst exploring this beautiful region.

Breakfast and dinner were excellent with a great variety of food. The room was clean and tidy. We had a really good experience! The hotel even has ping-pong and billiards tables, plus KTV. We'll definitely choose this place again next time we're in Izu.

The hotel offers a shuttle service, and both the environment and rooms are excellent. Although the hotel has been around for a while, it's very well-maintained. The hot spring and swimming pool are great too. It's very close to Mount Omuro, just a short taxi ride away, and from Mount Omuro, you can catch a bus to the coast.

A hotel with a great experience! The room was very spacious, with a tatami room and a twin bedroom. We booked breakfast and dinner for 4 days, and the variety was extensive, exquisite, and delicious. The service was also excellent. The hotel is located 3-4 kilometers up a mountain road from Izu-Kogen Station, so walking is very tiring. You can either take a taxi or use the free shuttle bus. The timetable is attached, and it's essential to book your departure time in advance at the hotel's front desk. Buses to Mount Omuro and Jogasaki Coast are available right from Izu-Kogen Station, which is very convenient!

Excellent value for money! The rooms are incredibly spacious, clean, and tidy. It's a three-bedroom apartment with a living room, essentially a serviced apartment, offering full ocean views. I was pleasantly surprised to find such a great place to stay so close to Mount Omuro.

Facilities: The hotel clearly shows its age, giving off a 'dreamcore' vibe. From the lobby to the room design and style, it felt like stepping back into 80s-90s Japan. The facilities are comprehensive, making it very suitable for families.

Cleanliness: Very clean, nothing to fault.

Environment: Located on an uphill slope, surrounded by residential areas, it's very quiet. You can also see the ocean horizon from the room, which is beautiful.

Service: The service is very Japanese and thorough, they try their best to meet your requests. The front desk staff's English is also good, and they explain the hotel's facilities and restaurants in detail.

Food: The buffet at the restaurant is quite good.

Summary: A very satisfying stay.
