Where to stay in Yufu

The rooms were spacious, and private onsen (hot spring bath) was available for free rental. It wasn't far from the train station. The only downside was that check-out time was 10:00 AM. While the ryokan seemed a bit dated, its cleanliness was excellent, and the view was absolutely stunning. We also appreciated being able to reserve the private open-air bath. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff were incredibly friendly, making our entire trip a wonderful stay!

The kindness of the owner of hotel was not good.

The owner is very nice. It is rare to have public baths and free private baths. The only downside is that the allergy level in the room doubles during the pollen season. I don't know why.

I am satisfied with the overall experience. The hot springs were good and the location was good. The owner was kind. However, you can't stay in the lobby on the first floor after the check-out time. My father, who is not feeling well, was kicked out on a rainy day with three suitcases.

A perfect onsen ryokan! The location is fantastic, and the experience was incredibly comfortable. The hot springs are top-notch. I loved jogging around Lake Kinrinko in the morning and soaking in the onsen while it was snowing – it was amazing! The facilities are new and high-tech.

I was overall satisfied with the ryokan's facilities, hospitality, and food. If you have children, it's a bit of a walk from the center of Yufuin, so it might be a good idea to keep that in mind.

It is a quiet and cozy, very clean and friendly hotel. A beautiful private bath with hot spring water flowing out. It is a jewel-like space where you can enjoy leisure while looking at the outside scenery. It is a 15-minute walk to the downtown area, so it was a perfect time for food, shopping, and culture. According to the regulations, check-in is not until 4 pm. Maybe because of the hot weather and because we were walking hard, we were allowed to check in an hour early. The hostel is beautiful. It’s up on the hill, so you have to walk around 30/35 minutes from the train station. There isn’t any convenience store nor restaurant nearby so make sure to bring your own food or ask the owner to make dinner/breakfast for you. The hostel is a bit difficult to access by foot if you are coming by public transport. The host brought us out for walks after dinner, with stunning night views of the city. Order breakfast and dinner as their food was delicious. The common space/lounge is perfect to chill, make new friends and read.
