It's a wonderful blend of Japanese onsen culture – meticulous yet incredibly relaxing – allowing you to enjoy a hot spring experience without even leaving your room

Stayed at the Izu Marriott on my trip to Japan, and it was genuinely great. The breakfast had a wide variety of options, and you could even order à la carte

The room offered a direct view of Mount Fuji, and it was quite spacious. Both breakfast and dinner were excellent, and the service was top-notch

The hotel is quite far from Shuzenji Station, but thankfully there's a shuttle bus available at platform 8 of the bus terminal

Once your food was ready, the server would bring it right to your table. The service was absolutely spot-on! (｡´∀｀)ﾉ🍴

The breakfast is just standard for a five-star hotel, nothing as impressive as what you'd find at a Japanese hotel

The staff were warm and attentive, making the entire check-in and stay process even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this place, whether you're looking to experience hot springs or simply enjoy a relaxing holiday

The food was also impressive; both the quality of ingredients and the presentation were thoughtfully done, with rich flavors and local characteristics

Getting to the hotel from Shuzenji Station is easy on bus C10, or if you have a lot of luggage, a taxi will cost under 1500 JPY. It's definitely worth staying for two days to relax and enjoy the hot springs

I had a wonderful stay at Orange House. The hotel boasts an elegant and tranquil environment, creating a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere overall

There weren't many guests during my visit, which made for a great experience. The hot spring water was excellent; after a soak, my skin felt smooth and delicate, truly helping to relieve travel fatigue

This Dormy Inn hotel maintains its signature style. There are seven private onsen on the 4th floor, and a public bath on the top floor, making for a truly wonderful hot spring experience

The hotel's hot spring is Nekogoshi Hot Spring, which has indoor and outdoor facilities. I especially like the outdoor hot spring. You need to walk down a few steps, as if you are in the middle of the woods

Overall, this hotel is a very cost-effective hotel, especially for guests who play golf. I will stay here again next time. I stayed in the hotel for three consecutive nights with breakfast and dinner

It is said that because of the low light pollution, the hotel is very suitable for stargazing, but I ate too much for dinner every day and went to bed early. Next time I will experience the hot springs and stargazing

Since I didn't book a package that included playing golf, the playing fee was additional, but it was also very affordable. I like to drive the golf course by myself, without a caddy, and play golf freely

One of the best Natural Onsen Resorts. Had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the onsen and great nature view of Golf play, mount Fuji San was looking beautiful from this location in the early morning.

You can see Mount Fuji from your room, but because of the cloudy weather, you can only see the top of the mountain for a short time. The rest of the time, Mount Fuji was hiding behind the clouds

It's a 45-minute bus ride from Ito Station. Located on a plateau, it's much cooler than Ito city. The hot springs include a large public bath, sauna, and mist sauna

Location is up on a mountain top. Great view if the weather is nice. Japanese and Western style rooms are available. Very professional and friendly staff. Most of them can communicate in English.

Although it's located deep in the mountains, the high level of food and service has been maintained, which is a testament to the brand's strength

The building is old, but the whole place has been well-maintained and doesn't feel dated

This stay was great! The room was clean and tidy, and the space was more comfortable than I expected. The location is convenient, with plenty of food options nearby, and transportation is very accessible

The location is great and the amenities are extensive. Keep in mind that you'll need to allow extra time to get to the public baths and other facilities, as they are a bit of a walk

We had an amazing stay here! The rooms were clean, spacious and most importantly, it had a great view of Fuji! The onsen in the room was great too!

I had a wonderful stay at Laforet Shuzenji Sanshisuimei. Overall, the experience was excellent and very relaxing. Fuji Side Hot Spring Open-air Bath room, and it was absolutely worth it

we had such a quality time at Kokuya, lovely ryokan with a long history but it is very clean and comfortable. Our room is by the river, the sound of stream is so soothing. This is a nice quiet area with good privacy

Serene stay and authentically Japanese! Grounds are gorgeous, staff is wonderful. Bakery is delicious too and you can put your feet in their hot water footbath while you enjoy a treat.

We had a wonderful stay at Tofuya Resort & Spa Izu last month. The resort is beautifully nestled in a peaceful, green setting with stunning views and fresh air

The garden environment is beautiful and the service is superb! The food might not look like a huge portion at first glance, but there are many dishes and it's definitely filling and delicious

The location is far away from the stations which made the onsen hotel unique and slient. Excellent service, food and environment are both good as well. Had a good stay.

This is the hometown of the Izu Dancer, and wasabi is cultivated right down the mountain. The hotel told a story about wasabi from beginning to end

The best ryokan I have ever visited in Japan. It is located in a picturesque place with its own sakura alley, momiji. Breakfasts and dinners (kaiseki) are interesting and delicious

You can feel the constant attention of the ryokan staff. The onsens are varied and beautiful, after visiting them, my skin became very smooth. The rooms are historical, large, classic, very pleased

It's an old but very nice hotel. The room is in a traditional Japanese style, with yukata, tea set, futons, tatami mats - everything is as it should be! Very clean and cozy, definitely recommend it

The hotel is a bit dated, and its facilities aren't very modern, but it's kept quite clean. It's one of the larger hotels in the area, so expect tour groups to stay here. The breakfast was decent.

The only downside is that as a tourist destination, there isn't much to see, mainly the unique streetscapes of the onsen town… otherwise, it feels a bit like a large rural area

So glad I did some research and decided to stay here- at the hotel and in Izu vs super touristy Hakone. The hotel is exceptional from start to finish

The staff is super friendly and helpful, the food was delicious and the onsen area outdoors is a really magical place - birds chirping around you, the river sounds in your ears and a bit of sunshine make you forget everything else

We had an amazing time and got very lucky because our room (Tokonatsu) had a brand new outdoors onsen bathtub right in the garden (it’s almost hard to decide where to take a bath first)

Ochiairo was even more beautiful than expected - the entrance and hallways smell really nice and you get a feeling of calmness immediately

Although walkable from Shuzenji Temple it may be hard to get there without a taxi if you have luggage. No food in the immediate vicinity so eat first before check in if you didn't purchase the meal additions

They were really foreigner friendly. The baths were really good as well. The room was very clean with a very nice price. The mixed bath was an interesting experience. Worth it and would like to go again

Deco was old but staff were hospitable and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfy but you will see bugs since it's right up against trees

There are two private baths on top of the gender segregated public ones and both are free to book (and a nice lil experience). You can also borrow board games or an SNES to your room for free

The people here are pretty nice. I like their buffet. It is too bad that we dont have time to have outdoor hot spring. I will come back here if I have chance.

The breakfast is amazing with a wide selection, I made sushi from the ingredients provided such as fresh raw tuna, salmon, scallops and yuzu fish mixed with rice and soy sauce and wasabi. However it doesn’t change at all

Definitely will revisit the place when i come back to nishiizu. Bus from shuzenji stops right infront of the hotel, traveling back to main town is convienient too

The in-room facilities are a bit old; even the doors are faded. However, the staff service is excellent, and the location is very convenient. The hot springs are also quite good

The dinner was very unique and special.

All the staff at the hotel were really friendly, theres a public onsen (indoor and rotenba) on lvl 2, and a lvl 6 rooftop footbath. Both days breakfast were delicious

We also requested a surprise cake, and they took his condition into consideration and served it with breakfast the next morning, which was a great help

The comforter was also fluffy, but it made me too hot, so I wish they had provided a thin blanket as well. The basic amenities were all there. I was impressed that they always provided lotion and milk

As there is no restaurant on-site at the inn, we walked a little ways to eat out, but most of the restaurants are open irregularly so it might have been better to make a reservation with meals included

There was a yukata and haori for indoor wear, but I wish they had also provided a jinbei. The toilet was equipped with a washlet that automatically flushes after use

The washroom/changing room had good hot and cold water pressure and was spacious, so it was nice. Meals at the inn are by reservation only

However, the toilet's hand basin was difficult to use because the water pressure was weak and I wish it had a little more force

Next time I stay, I would like to make a reservation with meals included

Great room, great service, great experience. A traditional Japanese hotel, the food is very attentive, the hot spring is very comfortable and private, highly recommended. The countryside scenery is also very good

The staff is very friendly. There is a paid private onsen. Suitable for a couple who want privacy. The half-board meal is worth it. It is a 10-course Dinner.

The hotel I booked for this trip to Izu was better than expected. The hotel environment, hygiene, and service are all very good. The room is spacious and quiet. The breakfast and dinner are of good quality and taste good

The room facilities are a bit old, but the sanitation is still clean. However, there is a smell when the air conditioner is turned down low, and there are no toiletries in the bathroom

While the staff were not fluent in English they made sure to use translation apps and were very kind and patience with us. The room was really nice and I loved the onsen outfits they gave you to wear

We tried both the private onsen and public one. Both were really great experiences, and you can access the public onsen all night long. The town next to this place is 100% worth a visit too

Although the luggage is carried to the room by yourself, it is worth it to experience their customs. However, there are too many insects in the room, so you have to light mosquito coils first

The surrounding scenery is beautiful, but transportation is quite inconvenient, so it's best to drive! The front desk lady was incredibly kind and helped us with many questions

I stayed here in March for anniversary. The environment of this onsen hotel is soooo great. With water dispenser provided in room. Staff are able to speak English well and communication is not an issue

The staff even took us to and from the bus stop, and all the staff were very kind. The food I was looking forward to was delicious, and the tableware was also very nice, so I was very satisfied

The chopsticks I used for breakfast were very easy to use and were sold in the lobby, so I bought them as a souvenir. A private open-air bath with a bottle of milk and coffee milk

I have to say the service is great! I left my backpack on the bus, and the hotel front desk guy was very enthusiastic to help contact the station to find it. We checked in first, which did not affect our mood

The gurgling stream is so relaxing. If time wasn't a constraint, I'd love to spend the entire afternoon there. The water in the rooms is hot spring water, so it's okay if you can't soak in the hot springs.
