The location and bath were good.
A few negative points, but these may only be a one-off.
I booked a room-only plan, and the breakfast option was offered at the inn. I was told over the phone that it could be arranged at check-in, but the ¥1,080 price tag was ¥3,300 on the day. That wasn't mentioned in the confirmation email, which was disappointing.
When I returned from an outing, the front door wouldn't open, locking me out. There was no intercom, so I called, and even though I gave my room number and name, they said, "You're not the guest." After about five minutes in the cold, windy weather, a man noticed me and said, "The automatic door was malfunctioning due to the strong wind, so we turned it off."
If the phone service was so poor, they should have at least put up a sign.
In the pocket of the Doterra in my room, they reused two packets of medication from the previous guest without cleaning or checking it. While it's not something that comes into direct contact with skin, it's still sloppy.
The property is old, so some minor imperfections are unavoidable, but the spider webs in the corners of the window frames and the hair and trash around the bed were a real annoyance. I often use Livmax, and it would be nice if they offered Japanese-style hospitality and consideration.

The surrounding scenery is beautiful, but transportation is quite inconvenient, so it's best to drive!

The front desk lady was incredibly kind and helped us with many questions. She was very attentive and helpful!

The hotel is quite remote, with few options for eating nearby, so you need to be prepared to get there. The facilities are also quite dated!

The location of the hotel is a bit hidden, it is recommended to drive. The front desk is full of foreigners, not as enthusiastic as the Japanese. Although the luggage is carried to the room by yourself, it is worth it to experience their customs. However, there are too many insects in the room, so you have to light mosquito coils first. This is an excellent resort with perfect location for an immersive Japanese Ryokan experience. The Nepali person at reception was very friendly and helpful. Most of the staff are friendly. The Onsen was amazing with cave Onsen and outdoor Onsen. Breakfast was very good with many choices.

I was very bothered by the dust and moldy smell. There was a tub bath in the room, but the balcony was covered in spider webs, which was painful for me as I hate spiders. All the staff seemed to be foreigners, but they were very friendly. It's an old facility, so it can't be helped to a certain extent, but it was disappointing that there were several times when I felt it was too much. The bath was empty, so I was very satisfied. As for the food, it was more delicious than a bad buffet and I was satisfied.

I used it for a day bath at night. If you bring a towel, you can use it for 700 yen. Towel rental costs 1000 yen. There weren't many people in the bath, so I was able to take it slowly. The open-air bathhouse is located right next to the river and is illuminated. Fantastic atmosphere was good. I'm grateful that the water server is in the changing area so I was able to rehydrate after taking a bath.

Although it was cheap, it had a private outdoor bath so I could relax. The food is also a buffet, so I'm glad I can get what I like. The hot springs were very nice, with smooth skin! The room has an open air bath so it was great to have it available 24 hours a day. I want to go again!
