Great location near the station, fantastic views of the river, and great amenities inside like a basic gym, some instruments, and onsen.
The room is Japanese style, spacious, clean. There is a bathroom but no shower. You have to go to the shared bathroom. But there is soap, shampoo and lotion. There is also an onsen to soak in
Incredible value!! fast internet, friendly staff with workable English, outside and inside hot springs (gender separated).
Japanese-style hotel, very interesting. The river view room is also well-deserved, generally OK 👍👍
Clean and tidy, with unique decor throughout, and a great view from the window.
The view from the bedroom is a beautiful stream

Beautiful Onsen and a place to Stay with the nicest breakfast that is prepared for you at your convienient time . There is a scheduled bus that drop you off in front of the Nikko Shrine . Will definitely come again
The staff were very attentive, as always in Japan. The breakfast was extraordinary. The only slight drawback was that we stayed Sunday night. The hotel restaurant is closed on Sunday evenings
The room was clean and tidy, and the service was very enthusiastic. We arrived at the hotel late, and the hot water was already boiled in the room and the air conditioner was turned on, making us feel at home
For example, they could call to make the bed after the meal, guide the seats and explain the ingredients for breakfast, etc. The grandparents who delivered the meal were also very friendly
However, there are plenty of dining options within walking distance, so it wasn't a major issue. On the plus side, we had access to the baths all night
Old hotel but very clean, great location, can walk to Nikko Toshogu Shrine. (Parking in that area is expensive. ) If you reserve here, you can just park and walk easily

A quiet little town, the waitresses were exceptionally kind. The hot springs were very comfortable; I booked two private baths, and everything was perfect except the water was a bit cold
Highlight: The public outdoor Onsen. Gentle clear river, you can see little fishes, a little waterfall & the onsen excess water flowing into the river. Beautiful both at night and day
The whole experience at this ryokan was magical. Our room with the private onsen was so comfortable and we were lucky enough to get snow on our final morning
Sitting in the onsen while it snowed outside is a memory I will be forever grateful for. The food was exceptional and the staff were so attentive and kind
The hotel environment is very good. The service is also warm and considerate. There will be a drum welcome ceremony. There is also a free water bar in the lobby. You can drink tea and enjoy the scenery
Breakfast and dinner were both excellent. The explanations were very helpful. I would definitely stay here again

This time we wanted a traditional experience and Iwaiyado Jyuan hit every mark! The Ryokan-Onsen is situated off a very small country road just a short walk from the train stop in Nikko
The private onsen is also clean, relaxing and beautiful with 2 indoor and outdoor pools
Indoor and outdoor hot tubs were amazing. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again. The hotel is nestled within mountains and the setting serene. Hotel is family owned and they take pride in caring for their guests
As you stroll along the quiet country road from the train stop to the inn, you are transported back in time and imagine being a merchant, warrior or weary traveler making your way from some faraway town to Edo
The mineral water is ALL natural, wonderfully hot and a soak after dinner prepares you for a peaceful nights rest in the large, quiet room. We had a Japanese room with beautiful tatami mats and futon beds
My booking also included breakfast and dinner which were always outstanding, beautifully prepared and unique food items. They utilized farm to table dining and the women explained each item served

On arrival I was met outside the hotel by a staff member who welcomed me and brought me into the lobby and introduced me to the reception staff who booked me in and informed me about the public bath and coffee bar area and told me about the hotel
I was surprised that it went beyond my expectations. The welcome drinks and snacks were awesome. My sister loved the mochi with strawberry. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and relatives.
I was then taken up to my room/apartment and showed around the apartment. I was taken back with the size of my room which was clean and very comfortable and soon got ready to go down for dinner
From Nikko, you will need to take another short train ride to Kinugawaonsen station, and the hotel will shuttle you from there (or it's a 12 minute walk)
The views are beautiful & you're a couple minutes walk to an AMAZING suspension bridge overlooking the gorge and mountains
During my holiday in Japan I wanted to stay in a traditional Japanese hotel and found it here

At the entrance there was a swimming pool 🌊, tennis courts 🎾, cycling 🚴‍♂️, and dance classes 💃 - it was a well-equipped resort 😅 Time has passed since then, and now you often see the camp buses
If you look up, there's no end to it, but if you look down, you'll understand - a camp in a location with 400-year-old cedar trees. There are no convenience stores or supermarkets nearby, so it's refreshing
Although the facility may have a sloppy feel to it, the rooms were kept clean and the air conditioning worked well and was comfortable. I felt soothed by the location, which is surrounded by nature.
At the entrance is the world's largest stag beetle 🥳 When it first opened, they even had TV commercials for it
🌠 The stars are beautiful, aren't they? There are flying squirrels and I think there are owls too
I stayed here for a school training camp. As expected, it was extremely dirty, but it was fine for a school training camp. The manager was a nice person. They also had a cat, which you could occasionally pet

Staff is humble, location is good. Property is comparatively new, room size is bigger than usual. There is a Onsen right next to this hotel. Only drawback is it is on a running road thus you hear vehicles passing by.
The only downside is the location, since it's like 40 minutes away by train from the Tobu-Nikko station, and the last train departs at about 10pm. But since everything's closing at around 5pm it doesn't really matter :))
It's one of the cheapest properties in Nikko, but still the quality is rather good. It's clean, the stuff is extremely helpful, so I'd say it's one of the best choices to stay in Nikko
The room had two futons on tatami mats. I slept better here than I have in a long time. Very close to the train station. There's a sliding glass door and a screen
We stayed here for two nights and the host generously provide two bottles of mineral water (per day) and set our bed everyday
It’s a humble place to stay and experience Japanese style room. The host was very helpful and tied his best to help us

The place you put your clothes, the showers before the baths, and all the soaps provided, you get towels in your room for your face & body to bring down with you, and the water was so clean
Located next to the river with an outdoor onsen that you can listen to the roar of the river. Breakfast and dinner are exquisitely presented. With new rice cooked over a slow fire in front of you
I think to some wanting to stay in Nikko might not realize that this is outside of the main town center but it’s so worth the extra train ride to go to this hotel/onsen after visiting the Nikko national park area
We stayed in the room with futon and the style of the room was so traditional Japanese style with tatami mats you felt like you were back in time. There is green tea you can enjoy in the room and WiFi included
The price performance is exceptional. Hana no Yado is one of those small family owned Ryokan that still are the dreams of a Ryokan holiday. From the greeting at the door when we drove up
As other reviews stated there is the train station kinugawa koen you can take that is like a 2-5 min walk

The room had two air conditioners, which was sufficient for a winter stay. You could see the distant mountains as soon as you woke up. The owner was very kind and talked about his trip to China
A very nice family-run guesthouse, offering a taste of living in a Japanese country villa during the Showa era – well worth it! The breakfast was excellent and very palatable
Places such as Kegan Falls, Lake Chuzenji, Yudaki and Yumoto are all easy to get to on the bus. The room was very spacious and clean. The private outdoor bath was a wonderful feature
Excellent, exceeding expectations. The owner was very thoughtful; because of the inconvenient transportation, they would take you to town to buy things when they had time
So, you have to go to the train station first, then take the right bus. There's a bus stop (number 14) right outside the hotel, but the bus passes by because it's full
Dinner was so filling, we barely made it 😅 We were there during peak season, late October, and to get to the lake, you have to take a bus from the train station

Hotel Yunishigawa, Nikko1 / 10
8.2
Nikko, 597 Yunishigawa 🧭 Map
The room had a great view and was very clean! When I arrived around 1:00, the private bath, table tennis, and karaoke were all available, so I was able to enjoy the whole day in the hotel! I would definitely like to use it again
It was a very clean and pleasant inn. I heard there was a large infestation of stink bugs, but they explained this to me in advance and took proper precautions, so it wasn't a big deal.
The ONLY downside to this place is that it’s a little far away from other stores and there are zero bars of cellular reception. The free wifi in the lobby and rooms are decent but not consistent throughout the hotel
There weren't many restaurants nearby, so they quickly arranged for dinner and breakfast to be included. I was very satisfied with the delicious food at a reasonable price
Also if you’re coming in the summer the air conditioning in each room is controllable and very powerful! The dinner includes Korean bbq style meats, sashimi, sushi, fried oysters and all you can drink alcohol! Including Japanese sake, beer, cocktails, highballs etc
Love this place! The rooms were super spacious and very clean, there are free karaoke rooms, private outdoor hot springs, games room, majong room for reservation. Also free Yukata(kimono) rentals

10 mins away from the station. The room is quite spacious, part in western style with beds and part in japaneese with tatamis. There is sink in themiddle of the room, quite comfy
We've stayed at Itoen hotels several times now. They're all onsen hotels, and the prices are very reasonable. There are fewer foreign tourists and more locals
We amazed the room,so very big for the two of us,for very cheap prize, can accomodate even 10 person, the buffet breakfast & dinner also is so good but the most I want to share is the drink all you can alcohol beverages for 1 hour, like beer, japanese wine, sours, all kinds of softhdrinks,I enjoyed for self service alcohol drink all you can!the hotspring also is very good but the cons is take care in the...
with a nice sorrounding sightseeng site. & last after check out they give 2000 yen discount coupon for the next visit,Thanks God & trip. com for a nice autumn tour moment in kinugawa onsen Tochigi Perfecture Japan
Breakfast and dinner is buffet, quite big choice, free beer for dinner, not so many fruits, no cakes for breakfast (dinner only). There is sushi and sashimi choice, delicious food. Onsen is quite good, clean, big
com for very nice & convinient bookings everytime,we stay new sakura hotel, because the interior of the hotel is mostly sakura theme, the carpet, the gorgeous chandelier, the wall design, etc
