Unfortunately this hotel was advertised in their Policies page as "Children not permitted at this hotel". On the strength of this policy, I was expecting an adult venue, with appropriate facilities. The hotel was completely the opposite. I would describe it as a family friendly establishment, which, if this is what you are looking for, it's perfect. Great place for children, lots to explore, the staff...
This is an excellent Japanese onsen resort. Some of the Japanese-style rooms have private hot spring baths on their balconies, which are incredibly comfortable and offer great privacy, not to mention a sea view!
The hotel offers exceptionally clean rooms and very attentive service. The dining was also excellent, with both dinner and breakfast served buffet style, offering a wide variety of food. However, some dishes were a bit cold, and I suggest the hotel improve their heating equipment. The three distinct bathhouses were all very clean and well-equipped. There were also many communal areas and activity facilities...
I was incredibly lucky to snag a room for my last-minute reservation, especially since it was right before a three-day weekend! This was my first time visiting Toba, and I traveled by car ferry. The hotel was conveniently located close to the ferry terminal, and the views were absolutely stunning! They had three different baths, and the food was delicious too!! For dinner, the Matsusaka beef Ise Udon...
Great location and the facilities were top-notch! The staff and service were wonderful. I'd definitely love to go back again.
The hotel service is very, very quiet environment this time when I stayed very few travelers excellent service, hot springs very comfortable, from indoor and outdoor hot springs, high privacy in the grooming area in the hot springs, JR station has a shuttle bus, very convenient.

The rock bath was absolutely amazing!
The location is superb; it's just a short walk from Toba Station, across the street. The hotel is huge, so just find your building. Both dinner and breakfast are buffets, especially the dinner buffet, which is fantastic—you can eat your fill with everything you can find, and the food is quite delicious. Breakfast, however, is a bit less impressive. Check-in is very welcoming; they write the names...
The hotel was conveniently located right across from a train station. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fine. The facility was a bit worn, and the room was small and could use some updates. However, it served its purpose for a one-night stay.
The hotel is too old, the rooms smelled musty, the facilities were outdated, and it wasn't good value for money.
The hotel is very overpriced for an old facility.  We booked an oceanview room but the windows are blocked with bars and can barely be opened.  Our room on the second floor could barely see the ocean.  Furniture and decoration scream OLD.   Most front desk workers are not Japanese.  They claim to have an "international crew" but the problem is they don't know much about Japan.  When we asked the doorman...
Dinner and breakfast were buffet style but they were delicious. If I have the chance, I would like to stay for several nights.

Toba International Hotel Shiojitei was an absolute highlight of our trip. The exceptional service truly stood out, embodying the Japanese spirit of 'omotenashi' from start to finish. This began with the shuttle pick-up from Toba Station, followed by detailed guidance during check-in, and enthusiastic explanations of each dish in the restaurant – every interaction was flawless. The food, featuring...
Beautiful spotless traditional Japanese hotel with an amazing outdoor onsen.
This was my favorite hotel of the trip. Everything was perfect, except for initially not knowing the shuttle bus stop and having to drag my luggage uphill. The shuttle runs every half hour; I even took photos for everyone's reference. **Regarding the Shuttle Bus:** Since we arrived by JR train, exiting the station puts you directly on the ground level. However, the shuttle stop is actually on the...
The main draw for us was undoubtedly the Pearl Onsen; it left our skin feeling wonderfully soft and glowing. However, it was also at this onsen that I encountered something I'd never seen before: people queuing naked to use the showers, which I suspect was due to the hotel accommodating a large number of international guests and the service being noticeably stretched. The bathrobes in our room were...
The facilities are great, and everything is very clean. The Pearl Hot Spring gets a big thumbs-up! In the evening, there was a bonfire in the garden where you could roast marshmallows, and you could also lie on a sofa or in a hammock to gaze at the starry sky. We even caught a glimpse of fireworks.
Upon arriving at Toba Station a little past 6 PM, we couldn't locate the hotel shuttle bus as advised by the guide. Decided to call the hotel just to try our luck, and to our surprise, they immediately dispatched a private car to pick us up! Service was absolutely impeccable! 💯 The hotel's absolute standout feature has to be its hot springs! ♨️ Especially the unique Pearl Onsen – the only one in Japan...

Wow and wow, this hotel overlooking the ocean was amazing. The staff while some were limited in English were very accommodating. I decided on tradition Japanese meals for breakfast and dinner and they didn’t disappoint. The view from the restaurant was breathtaking when I did the 7am breakfast (I could see the sun rise) it really made me think “this is the land of the rising sun”. Dinner was a 5 course...
Our room, complete with an open-air bath, allowed us to truly relax and forget about our daily lives. The water temperature and the view were wonderful, making our stay a great pleasure. The hotel was clean and meticulously appointed, providing a comfortable environment. The building is a little old, but the common areas and private rooms are kept clean, which was nice. You can choose between Japanese and Western breakfast, but I recommend the Japanese one.
the place is beautiful and i love to come back again ❤️
The photos are exactly the same as the actual situation. The hotel is a bit old but very clean and hygienic. The room has a personal hot spring which is very nice. The breakfast is also very delicious. I plan to stay here once a year in the future.
A beautiful seaside hotel with a large terrace in the room and a very good restaurant. It is very close to the Mikimoto Museum and is a good choice for traveling in Ise Toba

i got the perfect ocean view room. beautiful sunset. staffs are very attentive and speak good english. the only down side is the location, we need to drive 10km to get a restaurant that open during new year time.
The room is spacious, with a separate tatami room for dining. The room has sea view. There are microwave, refrigerator, hair dryer and kettle in the room. However, the way to the hotel is up a steep hill. The coffee maker machine is at the front desk. Breakfast is the O-bento
Our room was on the sixth floor, and it had an absolutely stunning ocean view. At night, you could hear the waves crashing from the balcony. The room was spacious, bright, and very comfortable. The only downside was that getting food up on the mountain was inconvenient; you had to prepare your own food beforehand.
The location was great, and the rooms were spacious. It was a great experience! 😊 Meals were packed, but if you don't like that, you can eat out since the town center is close by. 😊
The room was nice and clean, but the environment was so-so. The service was terrible; an elderly man with white hair at the front desk was very unfriendly to Chinese people. I hope everyone has good luck checking in at this hotel and doesn't get frustrated! 😑
The room and bathroom were very spacious, with a beautiful view of the ocean and pearl farms. The bed was very comfortable, and the bedding was clean and well-made, giving off a pleasant sense of cleanliness. If I have the chance, I would stay here again.

Our stay at Senpokaku Toba was a memorable one-night ryokan experience. Located about five minutes by free shuttle from Toba Station (limited hours), the service was outstanding—from luggage assistance at pick-up to delivery straight to our room. Although the building and room were a little dated, the space was generous, with western beds, a tatami area, a separate spacious toilet, and a lovely hill...
To get to the hotel, you take their shuttle bus from Toba Station, which is about a five-minute drive uphill. The surroundings are peaceful, and the view of Ise Bay from outside is superb! The room is spacious, and the balcony has a private outdoor bath. However, you have to fill it yourself and wait for it to heat up, so I didn't end up using it in the room because it was too cold. There are also...
The hotel is located in the mountains, making it difficult to leave or get to the hotel at night without a car or other transportation. Although the hotel restaurant is open until 9 PM, à la carte orders stop being accepted after 7 PM. If you didn't select dinner when booking your room, you won't be able to get a meal.
The view from the bath was amazing. The breakfast was also substantial and delicious. It's reasonably priced compared to other luxury accommodations, so it's a bit pricey, but the service and facilities were so satisfactory that it made me wonder about the low rating on Google Maps. I would like to stay here again if I have the opportunity.
It's a traditional, old-fashioned hotel that offers excellent value for money. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, the area is very quiet, and the rooms are huge for the price.
The food was delicious. The place feels old overall. The loungewear seems a little lacking in cleanliness. The staff's service is divided into good and average.

The facilities were worth the price. The staff were very friendly.
It was located near the tourist spots we wanted to visit, such as Ise Grand Shrine and Yokoyama Observatory, and we could stay there as a family, including our dog, so it was a really great inn! Also, the staff at the inn were very kind to us, and also to our dog, which we were very grateful for!
The room felt a little old, but it was fine since we mainly have dogs. The food was delicious and they catered to allergies.
Pets are a priority, so I was able to bring my dog with me without any worries, and there were dog runs outdoors, on the rooftop, and indoors, as well as a pool, which was nice. The lobby and elevator were nice, but the hallway and room smelled bad after getting off the elevator. There was a constant pee smell.

Nice hotel, room spacious but a bit old.
The staff were very helpful. The rooms were clean, and the kids loved the fireworks at night. The food was delicious, too. I'd definitely like to stay here again next year.
The price was very reasonable, especially considering the time of year, which I liked! I was a little bothered by the conversations people were making in the hallway that were getting into my room! The food selection is wide, but I wish it was of high quality. I'm not happy with cheap and bad food anymore. The bath water was lukewarm. I'd like a sink and bubbles. Overall it was good!
The staff were very friendly and the rooms were clean and great. I will definitely stay here again.
The hotel has a free shuttle bus to and from the JR station. The room is quite large, the dining is excellent, the ingredients for breakfast and dinner are very rich, and there is also ramen for midnight snacks 🍜. I strongly recommend staying here for two meals. The hot spring is very comfortable.
Perfect place for onsen and short remedy treat! Excellent meals ( breakfast and dinner ) provided upon booking the room! Enjoying the crab dinner a lot! They even provided the ramen as supper 👍🏻👍🏻

The hotel offers a free shuttle bus to and from Toba Station every hour and half hour, though the last one departs at 6:00 PM. The Harbor rooms offer beautiful sunrise views every morning, and the hot spring, with its unique pearl powder, is quite special.

I was surprised that the room was larger than I expected! You can smoke in the room, which I think is great for smokers. Non-smokers won't be bothered by the smell at all.
I've stayed at this inn many times. We booked a room for three people with an open-air cypress bath. The open-air bath was smaller than expected, and the cypress bath was black, so we didn't feel like soaking in it. It was good. The food was delicious. I was able to relax because I ate in my room. I also thought the staff was very helpful. The baths were switched between men's and women's in the morning and evening, so I couldn't see the sunrise from the open-air bath, but I still had a wonderful time.
I stayed in the Tsuki room, which was renovated in March 2024. At Toba Station, we were greeted in front of the Kokichi Mikimoto statue in a limousine (black). The front desk staff were very friendly. I truly enjoyed staying at this hotel, and the morning view upon waking up was lovely.
I stayed with my family who use wheelchairs, and the barrier-free access made it extremely comfortable. The room amenities and the hotel interior were well thought out, and the hotel's hospitality was evident. I'm also very grateful for the staff's attentive service. The food was also excellent, and we have fond memories of this stay. I would like to stay here again.
A perfect resort hotel, right next to a beach with a great sandy beach and top-notch food. Hotel guests can also reserve a private hot spring bath for free. However, it's quite remote, so if you're not driving, I recommend taking the hotel's shuttle bus to and from Toba. The advantage of being remote is that it's less crowded; if you're used to Kyoto and Tokyo, this is a real vacation experience.
It is a great hotel. The hot spring and breakfast are great. When I arrive the hotel that night, the restaurants of the hotel were full. The staff are very helpful and bring me to the nearby restaurant. (仁海大眾酒埸)Sanawa tataki and soba were great. I will sure come back again.
The information provided by the TripAdvisor platform was incorrect. We originally booked a room with a private bath, but upon check-in, we were told it wasn't. They claimed it was a platform error.
