Unfortunately this hotel was advertised in their Policies page as "Children not permitted at this hotel". On the strength of this policy, I was expecting an adult venue, with appropriate facilities. This is an excellent Japanese onsen resort. Some of the Japanese-style rooms have private hot spring baths on their balconies, which are incredibly comfortable and offer great privacy, not to mention a sea view!

A perfect resort hotel, right next to a beach with a great sandy beach and top-notch food. Hotel guests can also reserve a private hot spring bath for free. However, it's quite remote, so if you're not driving, I recommend taking the hotel's shuttle bus to and from Toba. The advantage of being remote is that it's less crowded; if you're used to Kyoto and Tokyo, this is a real vacation experience.
