Unfortunately this hotel was advertised in their Policies page as "Children not permitted at this hotel". On the strength of this policy, I was expecting an adult venue, with appropriate facilities. The hotel was completely the opposite. I would describe it as a family friendly establishment, which, if this is what you are looking for, it's perfect. Great place for children, lots to explore, the staff...
This is an excellent Japanese onsen resort. Some of the Japanese-style rooms have private hot spring baths on their balconies, which are incredibly comfortable and offer great privacy, not to mention a sea view!
The hotel offers exceptionally clean rooms and very attentive service. The dining was also excellent, with both dinner and breakfast served buffet style, offering a wide variety of food. However, some dishes were a bit cold, and I suggest the hotel improve their heating equipment. The three distinct bathhouses were all very clean and well-equipped. There were also many communal areas and activity facilities...
I was incredibly lucky to snag a room for my last-minute reservation, especially since it was right before a three-day weekend! This was my first time visiting Toba, and I traveled by car ferry. The hotel was conveniently located close to the ferry terminal, and the views were absolutely stunning! They had three different baths, and the food was delicious too!! For dinner, the Matsusaka beef Ise Udon...
Great location and the facilities were top-notch! The staff and service were wonderful. I'd definitely love to go back again.
The hotel service is very, very quiet environment this time when I stayed very few travelers excellent service, hot springs very comfortable, from indoor and outdoor hot springs, high privacy in the grooming area in the hot springs, JR station has a shuttle bus, very convenient.

Wow and wow, this hotel overlooking the ocean was amazing. The staff while some were limited in English were very accommodating. I decided on tradition Japanese meals for breakfast and dinner and they didn’t disappoint. The view from the restaurant was breathtaking when I did the 7am breakfast (I could see the sun rise) it really made me think “this is the land of the rising sun”. Dinner was a 5 course...
Our room, complete with an open-air bath, allowed us to truly relax and forget about our daily lives. The water temperature and the view were wonderful, making our stay a great pleasure. The hotel was clean and meticulously appointed, providing a comfortable environment. A large bee unexpectedly appeared during our stay, but the staff responded quickly and courteously, allowing us to continue our...
The building is a little old, but the common areas and private rooms are kept clean, which was nice. You can choose between Japanese and Western breakfast, but I recommend the Japanese one.
the place is beautiful and i love to come back again ❤️
The photos are exactly the same as the actual situation. The hotel is a bit old but very clean and hygienic. The room has a personal hot spring which is very nice. The breakfast is also very delicious. I plan to stay here once a year in the future.
A beautiful seaside hotel with a large terrace in the room and a very good restaurant. It is very close to the Mikimoto Museum and is a good choice for traveling in Ise Toba

i got the perfect ocean view room. beautiful sunset. staffs are very attentive and speak good english. the only down side is the location, we need to drive 10km to get a restaurant that open during new year time.
The room is spacious, with a separate tatami room for dining. The room has sea view. There are microwave, refrigerator, hair dryer and kettle in the room. However, the way to the hotel is up a steep hill. The coffee maker machine is at the front desk. Breakfast is the O-bento
Our room was on the sixth floor, and it had an absolutely stunning ocean view. At night, you could hear the waves crashing from the balcony. The room was spacious, bright, and very comfortable. The only downside was that getting food up on the mountain was inconvenient; you had to prepare your own food beforehand.
The location was great, and the rooms were spacious. It was a great experience! 😊 Meals were packed, but if you don't like that, you can eat out since the town center is close by. 😊
The room was nice and clean, but the environment was so-so. The service was terrible; an elderly man with white hair at the front desk was very unfriendly to Chinese people. I hope everyone has good luck checking in at this hotel and doesn't get frustrated! 😑
The room and bathroom were very spacious, with a beautiful view of the ocean and pearl farms. The bed was very comfortable, and the bedding was clean and well-made, giving off a pleasant sense of cleanliness. If I have the chance, I would stay here again.

Our stay at Senpokaku Toba was a memorable one-night ryokan experience. Located about five minutes by free shuttle from Toba Station (limited hours), the service was outstanding—from luggage assistance at pick-up to delivery straight to our room. Although the building and room were a little dated, the space was generous, with western beds, a tatami area, a separate spacious toilet, and a lovely hill...
To get to the hotel, you take their shuttle bus from Toba Station, which is about a five-minute drive uphill. The surroundings are peaceful, and the view of Ise Bay from outside is superb! The room is spacious, and the balcony has a private outdoor bath. However, you have to fill it yourself and wait for it to heat up, so I didn't end up using it in the room because it was too cold. There are also...
The hotel is located in the mountains, making it difficult to leave or get to the hotel at night without a car or other transportation. Although the hotel restaurant is open until 9 PM, à la carte orders stop being accepted after 7 PM. If you didn't select dinner when booking your room, you won't be able to get a meal.
The view from the bath was amazing. The breakfast was also substantial and delicious. It's reasonably priced compared to other luxury accommodations, so it's a bit pricey, but the service and facilities were so satisfactory that it made me wonder about the low rating on Google Maps. I would like to stay here again if I have the opportunity.
It's a traditional, old-fashioned hotel that offers excellent value for money. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, the area is very quiet, and the rooms are huge for the price.
The food was delicious. The place feels old overall. The loungewear seems a little lacking in cleanliness. The staff's service is divided into good and average.

The website said the shuttle bus didn't require reservations, but I was worried, so I called customer service again to confirm it wasn't necessary. They even texted me where to wait and what time. The facilities were worth the price. The staff were very friendly.
It was located near the tourist spots we wanted to visit, such as Ise Grand Shrine and Yokoyama Observatory, and we could stay there as a family, including our dog, so it was a really great inn! Also, the staff at the inn were very kind to us, and also to our dog, which we were very grateful for!
The room felt a little old, but it was fine since we mainly have dogs. The food was delicious and they catered to allergies.
Pets are a priority, so I was able to bring my dog with me without any worries, and there were dog runs outdoors, on the rooftop, and indoors, as well as a pool, which was nice. The lobby and elevator were nice, but the hallway and room smelled bad after getting off the elevator. There was a constant pee smell.
Station pick-up is convenient and the service attitude is good

The atmosphere among all the employees is very good. Also, the food was very delicious. Considering that this kind of meal includes two meals, I thought this pricing was really cheap. thank you. I stayed on the second floor of Mizuno Hoshi on a perfect day for cherry blossom viewing. It's a suite of nearly 100 square meters, with an indoor bath and a large semi-open-air stone bath, and the dining area is about the size of a small conference room. I was surprised that the room was larger than I expected! You can smoke in the room, which I think is great for smokers. Non-smokers won't be bothered by the smell at all.
I've stayed at this inn many times. We booked a room for three people with an open-air cypress bath. The open-air bath was smaller than expected, and the cypress bath was black, so we didn't feel like soaking in it. The shower in the large communal bath stopped working immediately, which made it difficult to use. I want to enjoy a nice bath. The dinner was served in our room, but unfortunately, some...
It was good. The food was delicious. I was able to relax because I ate in my room. I also thought the staff was very helpful. The baths were switched between men's and women's in the morning and evening, so I couldn't see the sunrise from the open-air bath, but I still had a wonderful time.
I stayed in the Tsuki room, which was renovated in March 2024. At Toba Station, we were greeted in front of the Kokichi Mikimoto statue in a limousine (black). We were greeted by about 5-6 people at the hotel entrance and entered the room. After the check-in procedure, we waited for matcha tea and sweets on the sofa seats before going to the room. . Loved riding in the limo, was fantastic. Bath was lovely. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. We stayed for two nights and had two completely different meals. Really excellent. Our room was much bigger than I expected. It even had its own zen garden inside. Excellent views lovely stay all around.

The front desk staff were very friendly. I truly enjoyed staying at this hotel, and the morning view upon waking up was lovely.
I stayed with my family who use wheelchairs, and the barrier-free access made it extremely comfortable. The room amenities and the hotel interior were well thought out, and the hotel's hospitality was evident. I'm also very grateful for the staff's attentive service. The food was also excellent, and we have fond memories of this stay. I would like to stay here again.
A perfect resort hotel, right next to a beach with a great sandy beach and top-notch food. Hotel guests can also reserve a private hot spring bath for free. However, it's quite remote, so if you're not driving, I recommend taking the hotel's shuttle bus to and from Toba. The advantage of being remote is that it's less crowded; if you're used to Kyoto and Tokyo, this is a real vacation experience.
It is a great hotel. The hot spring and breakfast are great. When I arrive the hotel that night, the restaurants of the hotel were full. The staff are very helpful and bring me to the nearby restaurant. (仁海大眾酒埸)Sanawa tataki and soba were great. I will sure come back again.
The information provided by the TripAdvisor platform was incorrect. We originally booked a room with a private bath, but upon check-in, we were told it wasn't. They claimed it was a platform error. Although the exterior looks very old, it is actually a very cozy hotel, especially the rice balls given to us by the proprietress when we checked out, which was very heartwarming~ If you stay in Toba for one night, I highly recommend staying at Kaigetsu!
Although it is an old house renovation, it has complete facilities. The key location is very good, very close to the station, and opposite is Pearl Island, which can be reached on foot. It is a B&B that is higher than expected.
We stayed 2 nights in this Ryokan, and it is one of the best memories of our trip. The hotel is very well located 5 min from the station and the main attractions. As it is an old inn, about half of the beach in front of it is the inn's area. Since it is a ryokan by the sea, you can fish from your room if your room is on the first floor. At high tide, I think you can enjoy it without getting caught in the rocks. There was a place where you could fish right next to the inn as well as from your room. The hot spring bath made my skin smooth, but the chairs were too low and it was difficult to sit on. The food was not a trendy buffet, but rather made with local ingredients and was very delicious. It was truly a wonderful inn!! The food was delicious and the portions were more than worth the price! The service was also great and friendly!! The photos on the website are too beautiful. In reality, it's quite worn out. In particular, the roof of the large bath is advertised as feeling like you're soaking in a hot spring outdoors, but it was cloudy and you couldn't see the sky clearly. It's just an indoor large bath. The room I was shown to had a strong wind, so the windows creaked loudly and I couldn't sleep well. The good things about...

Absolute lovely place. We've spent a night in a room with private onsen. We also had the chance to enjoy some high class kaiseki dinner and breakfast. Both of them were absolutely fantastic. Staff is also very friendly and pleasant! Every one! It was one of our best experiences ever - we higly recommend this place! Arigatou gozaimashita :-)
Nice stay in this hotel! Service is excellent!

We had lunch here in March. Not only was the food impeccably delicious, but the timing and thoughtfulness with which it was served were also excellent. My husband and I were able to enjoy a leisurely, delicious meal in a private room.
The seafood is very fresh, delicious, and the portions are generous. The landlady is very kind, and the parking lot can accommodate electric vehicles. The sea is nearby, so you can take a walk or relax in a private bath. There is also a shrine nearby that grants women's wishes, so it's recommended for couples. The rooms are fully equipped with electrical appliances, so you won't have any inconveniences...
