The bath at the inn was nice.

The food and bath were very good

The waitress's service was wonderful and made me very happy. The food was also very luxurious.

At least one person on staff (at all times) spoke excellent English. If you can't speak a lick of Japanese, like us, you're still going to be fine here.

It's a 10 minute walk from the train station, which is not too bad. To get to the furthest public hot spring it's more like a 25 minute walk, but they have a shuttle to take you out there. You get a card for free admission to the public springs. Go to the one with the waterfall called Goshono-yu.

There are 5 private hot spring rooms with different themes that you can use while staying here. Great for (hetero) couples or families as you can all bathe together... public springs seperate the men and women. Private baths are first come first serve, but when we were here, there was always at least one open.

The service level is crazy good. They will try to accommodate everything you ask for and even anticipate things you don't. For example, they asked when we wanted to check out. After telling them we had to leave early, they arranged a special breakfast seating and transport to the rail station... none of which we asked for. You are treated like royalty... I've never experienced that before anywhere.

They come to your room and serve up a full spread. I think there were something like 10 courses... I lost count. Such a great experience. I'd recommend it to anyone.

For "needs improvement", the WiFi totally sucks. It conked out three times while writing this review.

Nice staff with free and scheduled shuttle to hot spring. Nice dinner. But room is slightly old and close to JR railway.
