The hotel and parking lot being separate was a bit inconvenient.

Great location, delicious dinner

The location is very close to JR Kinosaki Onsen Station, about a 10-minute walk. The hotel dinner was good and great value for money. The hotel also has an onsen (hot spring) area, which was fantastic and incredibly relaxing because it wasn't crowded.

Beautiful place, the room was great and clean. Convinent location. Everything was pleasant during the stay.

We were very much looking forward to our stay in Kinosaki Onsen. Upon arrival, the owner took our rental car to park elsewhere and someone helped us with our bags. Although I had requested a ground floor room, we needed to climb steep stairs to our 3rd floor room. Our very 1st impression of the room was through our noses. It had a very strong old, musty smell. We were wishing we had room spray with us. We were surprised that our private bathroom was only a sink and toilet but perhaps it is common to just have the public baths to wash. We had dinner and breakfast included. We could have dinner at 530 or 6 only. Dinner did have a wide variety of Japanese food. I like crab warm in garlic butter, this was cold with an unknown sauce. There was a good salad. The soup was awful in my opinion. We cooked beef and veggies in shabu shabu style. Our flames went out before the water boiled the 1st time, then while we were still cooking the 2nd. We could feel the floor through our mattresses and our pillows were very hard, again, perhaps normal for a ryokan? We both had sore backs in the morning. Just one regular chair in the room for Western guests would be great. They did not have a Yukata to accommodate my size which was disappointing. I wore my own housecoat through town. Breakfast could only be 730 or 8. We chose 8. No coffee. Very traditional Japanese breakfast. We can't really say whether it was good by Japanese standards. I couldn't face the am fish. My friend at least tasted everything. As checkout was a very early 10 am, after our 8 am breakfast, we headed to our own public bath. After we had undressed in the change room, a man cleaning the washing stations called out to us that he was in there cleaning. We waited for him to leave. It took several mins of us standing there for him to go. Before he left, he said he had to come back to clean the sink area. We thought he would of done it while we were in the bath or wait until we were completely done. Nope, he wanted in while we were dressing. He then told us that he cleans in there at 9 am every morning! What ridiculous timing! If the cleaning time isn't changed, at the very least, the guests should be told. At check out, the woman was miserable. She was NOT happy that we wanted to leave our bags to walk around town a bit before leaving. My friend had an Airtag in the suitcase we left in the car so we decided to just walk to it and then drive back for the luggage. We immediately noticed that there was a scratch on the driver's side mirror. The car was either scraped against something while being driven or another car parking did it. As it was written in our contract that any damage must be reported immediately, we called our rental car company. Unfortunately they insisted that we needed to file a police report as we didn't witness it and considered it a hit and run. However, we didn't know the address of the parking lot so didn't know where to tell the police to come. We decided to ask the hot

The location is convenient, with parking available, though not directly near the hotel. It's very close to the main street.
The hotel is a bit dated, but it offers a unique perspective on the Japanese-style atmosphere.
The hotel employs many Nepalese domestic workers, which facilitates English communication, but this also diminishes the Japanese atmosphere.
The food is just okay.

Perfect place with perfect meals and service!

There are no hot spring facilities, only passes are provided. Guests should be informed when booking a room.

The room smell really bad and dirty. The atitude of the manager is very bad when they were ask for help from a foreigner. Feel more like a smelly home stay than a hotel. The only things that good is dinner!

It wasn't clean because it was a ryokan, but the onsen was good and the location was good. I really liked the dinner and it was plentiful. I would go there once to feel the Japanese tradition, but I don't want to go a second time because it's not clean. I especially hated the constant smell of smoking indoors. I would not recommend it to families with children.

I will still give 5 for the great value for money compared to adjacent more expensive accommodation. Hope unsafe things there get improved.

Location: 8-10 minutes walk to the train station. Near Family Mart! In the heart of Kinosaki onsen touristy street.

Service: When I arrived around 4pm,there is no one to help me carry my heavy luggage up to the 3rd floor. There appears to be no elevator.

Room and Facility: Room has enough space. But the lavatory is so bad that the faucet can burn your skin in the winter. There should be some safety device. The stair steps are so small that wearing wooden slippers is a safety risk. You can litterally fall. Nevertheless, the private onsen is very good. It does not smell like chlorine. The woody scent is relaxing and memorable.

Welcome lounge and Breakfast: Warm and welcoming staff at the welcome lounge and breakfast. The freebies are limited as well as the time you can enjoy free but still delicious and well done. Beautiful cafe

Amenities: beautiful free rental tradional dress with a variety of options.

I still recommend.

I stayed here for two nights and had such a warm, friendly experience. The breakfast was great and they even accommodated my vegetarian needs. You have the option to rent bicycles at the same front desk you check in at which was also super convenient.

We stayed 2 nights half boards at Koyado Enn. This is beyond awesome experience in terms of location (very close to JR station), wonderful services with doable English communication + scrumptious breakfast and dinner. Oh forgot to mention its happy hour drink in the afternoon which we enjoyed after public onsens hopping; we had sparkling plum wine and hot/cold sake! Thank you, Koyado Enn!

The hotel staff was an absolute joy and helped me with any issues I had. Extremely welcoming and very nice. There was a trainee named Nguyen Thi Dung who helped me a lot and really made me feel welcome. The private baths were sublime and the food service was some of the best I have had personally. Definitely a wonderful place to stay at if you want to visit kinosaki onsen.
