This time, four of us shared a room.
The room was spacious and faced the street.
The natural light was excellent, which I really liked.
The landlady and staff were all very kind and friendly.
I really enjoyed it!

Visit in May 2025. This large spa town, easily accessible by train, is a must-see. Several onsen (hot springs) are scattered throughout the town, which you visit sequentially using a pass provided by the Ryokan (traditional ryokan). Note: everyone wears traditional clothing provided by the Ryokan when walking in the streets and going to the baths. The rooms are spacious and quiet, with toilets, and are prepared for the night during dinner. The onsen inside the Ryokan is quite small; it's best to visit the ones in town.

Tsutaya Ryokan is a beautiful old building with a calming atmosphere that evokes nostalgia.
Mr. Nakai was very friendly and attentive. He was very knowledgeable, providing us with information about hot springs and hints about the next day's destinations, which was very helpful.
The meal was a kaiseki course meal, and the crab was delicious.
The breakfast was light, with boiled tofu and grilled fish, so we ended up eating too much.
This is an inn that makes you want to return.

It was a wonderful time spent at the tsutaya ryokan! The staff was very polite and friendly, they helped us with everything on our first trip to Japan. The yukata and haori were warm even in rainy weather. The kaiseki was incredible! I didn't expect so many different delicious foods, and we managed to get the snow crab.
Thank you very much! You helped me fulfill my dream! I hope to come back to you in the future!

We had a fantastic stay at this Ryokan. The staff were so attentive and welcoming (Thanks to our room attendant, Suzan) We arrived a little earlier than check in but we could go up to the room and were provided with tea. The room was beautiful and the beds were prepared when we were eating dinner. We were shown how to wear the yukata and even had welly boots for the rainy weather. The food was the highlight, fresh seasonal ingredients (crab!) which was displayed like a piece of art. I wish we stayed longer, well worth the money!

This was a very kind and hospitable inn. I used a discount coupon for the plan that included breakfast. The breakfast was sumptuous. For dinner, the sukiyaki meat was delicious. It was a convenient location for touring the hot springs, and they also left my car there. They even took me to the parking lot about 50 meters away. The room was spacious and clean. The bath was quite small, so I gave it a satisfaction rating of 4, but it seems that larger baths cannot be built due to laws. I would like to go again.

Nice staff. Room was spacious and comfortable. We have chairs beside window with a garden view, which is nice.

Dinner is in our room. Breakfast is in a hall on 2nd floor. Both are good and yummy.

Ryokan guests are provide Onsen Pass that allow us to use all 7 public baths free of charge. In my opinion, "Goshonoyu", which is the closest to Tsutaya, is the best.

Ryokan Tsutaya is about 15-minute walk from Kinosaki Onsen Station. If you arrive town after 12.30, there are free shuttle buses that will take you to every ryokans.
