The Celecton Matsumoto in Matsumoto

Waking up to a view of snow-capped mountains right outside my window was a pleasant surprise. The leather slippers provided show the hotel's attention to quality amenities. The breakfast was good value for money; I bought a voucher on the spot, and while the selection wasn't huge, the quality was excellent. Plus, it's super close to Matsumoto Castle, just a five-minute walk. Thumbs up!

The hotel is great, well-located with convenient transport links, and the service is excellent.

The hotel is within walking distance of the castle's evening light show. Paid parking is available, though the path from the hotel to the car park is not ideal when traveling with luggage, despite the short distance. A gas station is conveniently located directly opposite the hotel. Overall, the experience was satisfactory, but improvements to the car park's condition are recommended.

The woodsy decor of this hotel was very calming after a long day of sightseeing. The room is quite spacious compared to what you get for the same price in other Japanese cities. We had a good night's sleep followed by a delicious breakfast. We highly recommend this hotel if you're on a tight schedule and need to wake up early and enter nearby Matsumoto Castle when it opens at 8:30 and then leave by train from equally close Kita-Matsumoto train station.

We had a very comfortable stay at this hotel and were really happy with our experience. One of the highlights was the public bath, which guests can use for free perfect for relaxing after a long day, especially after skiing. The room was clean, well-maintained, and they provide daily cleaning even for long-stay guests, which we truly appreciated.
The staff at Celecton were exceptionally kind and helpful. We had a stressful situation when my boyfriend lost his phone during our ski activity, and one of the staff members who I believe was a part-time working student went above and beyond to help us. He even accompanied my boyfriend to return the car to the shared rental parking area. Without his help, we honestly wouldn’t have been able to return the car properly since I don’t have a Japanese phone number. We’re extremely grateful for his kindness and effort.
Breakfast at the hotel is simple but sufficient, and for more options, there’s a Hotto Motto right beside the hotel, which is very convenient. Overall, this hotel offers great comfort, cleanliness, and outstanding service. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

The Celecton is in a great location for Matsumoto castle and the river where you can find beautiful temples, charming Izakayas and gift shops. The hotel bath was hot and relaxing after a day of walking and the breakfast bar had a good selection of Japanese and western food.
