Iyashinoyado Ryokan Tabataya in Myoko

We stayed here for our ski trip to Myoko and booked our stay through Booking. There were four of us, and we stayed for one night. We arrived around 10 AM, and luckily, our room was ready, so they let us check in early.

The room was quite small, and there were shared bathrooms only on the 1st and 3rd floors. The hotel itself isn’t very big, but it has an onsen and shower facilities on the first floor. The highlight for us was definitely the food—both breakfast and dinner were amazing, with well-balanced, nutritious dishes.

The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and always ready to help. They don’t speak English, but they use a translation device, so communication wasn’t a problem. The location is also super convenient—just a 3-minute walk to the ski lift, with restaurants nearby as well. Plus, the hotel offers discounts on lift tickets, ski rentals, and ski lessons!

We highly recommend this place—it was a great stay, and we’d love to come back! ❤️ Thank you for such an excellent service!

Absolutely brilliant experience of Japan, a very traditional stay with amazing food and lovely rooms. The owners were amazing hosts and we felt so welcome. Great position very close to Suginohara ski field. Great onsen and drying room, and the front room for socialising. The rooms were super traditional, and quiet, everything was just wonderful. The staff were very friendly and helped us get everything we needed to go snowboarding (the discounted ticket and recommending rentals). The lifts were a short walk away. The meals were nutritious and delicious. The bath was clean and soothing after a day of snowboarding. A homey stay in Myoko!

This was one of the best stays I have had while travelling! It felt extremely homely, and the home cooked meals were one of the highlights. The dinners were epic - so many different dishes to try and incredibly crafted and presented. The breakfast was so huge that we didn’t even need lunch. We looked forward to “coming home” after a days skiing. The hosts took great care of us. I will definitely come back!

There was an event nearby and I was looking for an inn where dogs could stay. The landlady was friendly and cute. Thank you for your love for your dog. Everything is delicious with breakfast included! !! The rice was delicious and I changed it from the morning! Wild plants that you have never eaten? Everything was delicious! It was a great help to have me send it to the venue for a fee! I'm really thankful to you.

I am very satisfied with the surprisingly luxurious dishes.
The owner and wife are also at home, making it a comfortable inn. The air was beautiful.

My heart was washed. Surrounded by nature, enjoy delicious rice and take a bath in the sauna. Moreover, Wifi is fast! recommendation

I am indebted to skiing at Myoko Suginohara Ski Resort almost every year.
It takes about 5 minutes to carry the board to the contact lift.
The beautiful mom is kind. A lot of dishes will make you manpuku. The toilet is also clean.
The difficulty is that there are only three washrooms where men's baths are crowded.

As a general rule, we arrived at 23:30, which was a great delay after the check-in time of 20:00, but the staff members got up and waited for us.

The room itself is a normal Japanese room, but the sound of the murmuring of the river flowing next to it was pleasant. There was no air conditioner in the room but only a fan, but perhaps due to the plateau's climate, I could sleep comfortably just by opening the window.

Also, this time I was staying with a dog, but it was suitable for taking a walk without passing a car near the inn.

If there are any difficulties, I think it's best to finish shopping before you come here because there are no convenience stores nearby. Also, credit cards cannot be used for payment.
