Hotel Soyokaze was such a cosy and welcoming place to stay. Takao’s personalised hosting made us feel completely safe and looked after from the moment we arrived. The room was spacious and incredibly comfortable, and being able to book the private onsen each evening was such a special touch. Great location, beautiful atmosphere, and truly memorable hospitality. We would absolutely stay again!

Very friendly and helpful staff/family. Great location. We stayed in the stand-alone cabin - it was very comfortable: laundry and kitchen facilities, spacious by Japanese standards with a separate lounge area, loft area (with very low ceiling) if you want to have separate bedrooms. Well stocked with towels and cleaning products! And there's a small, intimate, nice and hot onsen (can only be booked privately) in the main building. And you can get discounted ski lift tickets for a couple of the Hakuba valley ski areas from them.

Indoor fire place was great. Host was extremely helpful at all times. Rooms were a good size and the onsen was great.

My second time in hakuba, and this is a real gem. Had a lovely two bedder with in room toilet at a great price. Muto San is an amazing host, on hand to give the best tips on which slopes to hit every morning, and somehow is always there to greet you when you return! The real gem is the in house onsen!! perfect to roll out of your soggy ski gear into a yukata and head downstairs.

LOVED this place. Mr. Tako bent over backwards to make every aspect of our stay amazing. The room was comfortable, the private hot springs was small but very nice and peaceful, breakfast in the beautiful dining room was fabulous. I can't wait to come back.

Takao-San goes the extra mile for his guests making Hotel Soyokaze the goto place in Hakuba. It really felt as if he was a long lost Japanese uncle rather than a host. He even came and picked us up when we got stranded after we missed the last bus at the slopes. Can't recommend hotel Soyokaze enough.

Small, cosy, convenient accommodation very close to shuttles for all lifts. Near by restaurants and convenience stores. Very helpful and obliging host. Good onsen that opens to snow.

An absolutely amazing hotel! We stayed for 2 nights and will definitely be staying here again in the future. Excellent location, amazing owner and host Taka, comfortable room, relaxing private onsen...this place has it all!
