This is the best hotel for visiting Jigokudani Monkey Park; you can walk there easily. The facilities are a bit dated, but considering I've stayed here multiple times across two generations, it maintains a certain standard. Plus, there's a fantastic indoor heated pool. Excellent and cozy hotel. However, the receptionist's service was a bit gruff, and my room was dirty. There were a lot of cookie crumbs under the beds, a lot of hair, and almost 20 ladybugs in the room, especially behind the curtains. The people at the inn were very attentive and the atmosphere was very comfortable. The food was also delicious and there was so much we couldn't finish it. It would be nice to stay two or three nights instead of just one and relax. I would definitely use Nakamatsuya again.

A very unique Japanese-style hot spring hotel. The entire building is covered with tatami mats. The open-air hot spring on the seventh floor is great and you can see a lot of stars.
