I had a great time with my family in the great outdoors. The starry sky was amazing. It was cool in the mornings and evenings, so we didn't need air conditioning.

Poor interior decoration, dilapidated

It was the best cottage I've ever stayed at. The furniture was like a hotel and had a luxurious feel. It's a pity that the only TV is not connected to YouTube at all. I stayed at GW, but it's cold enough to heat up at night. But at night, the stars looked very beautiful. There is also a forest walk course, so if you are lucky you can meet animals. Rustic feeling cottages. Old but clean and nice. Some bugs but it’s in the wilderness. So that’s perfectly normal. Nothing bothersome. Very nice place to stay and explore the region.

Its the best hotel that i have stayed by far for my Japan trip this time. Takayama is so beautiful even the hotel itself is so comfortable to stay. Recommended 😎

Super quaint ! Was a bit worried that its an inn and might lack amenities. Am so pleasantly surprised hy the hospitality crew!

1. The staff were very friendly and helped us with our luggage to our room. 2. The toilet and bathroom were separate, and most importantly, there were double sinks, which is great for groups. 3. The candy in the lobby reception area was delicious. 4. It's conveniently located between the old street and the station.

It was close to the city, the streets were beautiful and lively, and the food was delicious⭐️

A very comfortable hotel, it is about a 10-minute walk to the old JR station, Takayama Old Street and Miyagawa Morning Market. I was very happy to be able to see the taro flowers in Miyagawa in late April.

Stayed 2 nights in January and it was a wonderful experience staying in a Buddhist Temple. Our room was in traditional Japanese style, reasonable in size with 2 futons. The room did not have an ensuite with the toilet and shower being on the opposite side of the Temple to our room. Wonderful experience to stay in a temple hotel. Events, such as, prayers and meditation available in the temple for guests. Central location and walking distance to shops, restaurants and places of interest. Traditional bedroom with tatami mat floors and a zen garden in the middle. Staff are very helpful and welcoming. The hotel is very close to the JR station and the bus station only 180 metres. The staff were friendly, smiley and good at English who could help my stay more enjoyable. Excellent hotel. The room was very smartly designed and spotless. The bathroom was very contemporary and had glass walls that made the room seem even larger. Breakfast buffet was terrific. The spa for ladies had 3 whirlpool/jacuzzi tubs at onsen temperatures. Good location.

The room was great. There was a bunk bed and a single bed, sleeping three people. It had an en-suite bathroom, an iron, and complete kitchen equipment including a rice cooker, frying pan, microwave, and refrigerator. The bathroom also had a bathtub. Highly recommended.

Close to the station. Calm place with lots of room (we were only two people). You get send codes for the two doors, which is really nice instead of having to deal with keys or keycards. Beds were comfy as well.

I use it every time I come to Takayama. It's close to the station, and there's a 24-hour parking lot next door for 700 yen, so it's in a good location. I couldn't hear voices from the next room, but I could hear doors opening and closing and voices in the hallway, so I was concerned when people from other rooms left early in the morning. Amazing stay in Iori Takayama, it is very easy to access it, via the lounge first and then the check in in the house, Shingo was a great host indeed. The 100 year old Machiya is really well preserved and makes you feel in the traditional Japan and it has some modern touched that makes the stay perfect. Really well located to visit Takayama downtown too.

It was a great traditional experience, right in the middle of the old town, close to restaurants and the morning market. The rooms were big and beautiful, but the stairs were quite steep. The hot tub and the bathroom were great. There are not a lot of kitchen amenities, but a lot of complimentary snacks and drinks. The service was impeccable.

This hotel is incredibly comfortable. The full kitchen facilities and the washing machine with dryer in the room are definite highlights. It was fantastic to be able to buy premium Hida beef from the supermarket and cook it myself!

Conveniently located just a few steps from the station. I was initially worried about potential noise, but the soundproofing was excellent, and it was very quiet at night. The room was spacious enough and had a kitchen, which was great for preparing simple meals. Not far from the hotel, just west past the tunnel, there's a large Boss Food Market where you can buy groceries, which was a nice bonus.

Great location, and most importantly, it has kitchenware for cooking! We bought beef from the supermarket and cooked it ourselves – amazing value for money. If I visit again, I'd definitely stay here. Highly recommend!

This is an apartment hotel with bigger size than normal hotel. Very happy with a kitchen and washing machine that is super useful. Bathroom got a shower area and a bath tub.  Only take 3 minutes from the station. Super convenient ! We will stay again if visiting Takayama again.

The place is really spacious, and you can cook your own meals, which is super convenient! The Nohi Bus Terminal is right downstairs, and JR Takayama Station is only about 100 meters away. It’s my second K’s hotel. The first was in Kanazawa and now in Takayama. They are the best by all levels. From reasonable price cleaning service staff - everything just perfect 👌🏽 I do recommend the K’s chain hotels in Japan.

The room was incredibly spacious and clean. I especially loved the kitchen, perfect for cooking the Hida beef I bought from the butcher – amazing value for money! Plus, having a washer and dryer was a huge convenience. It's also super close to both the Nohi Bus Center and Takayama Station, which was really handy.

The hostel is near the train and bus station and has private rooms and dormitories. There's a communal kitchen and lounge and if you stay for three or more nights you may use the washing machine for free. The staff is lovely and very helpful. My private room was very clean and spacious. Apart from the bed there was only a shelf, a small table and a chair would have been nice.

We stayed in a triple with a private bath. Towels and bedding were provided. The location is great, close to the bus/train station and within walking distance to the sites.
