Chubu region, Kaga, Yamanakaonsen Higashimachi, 2 Chomehe−1 🧭 Map
The room was incredibly spacious. The facilities, while having a traditional Japanese hotel style that's a bit dated, were exceptionally clean. The breakfast and dinner I booked were very elaborate. The staff translated and explained every dish to us, which greatly enhanced the service experience.
The cascading waterfall in the Yamanaka area was a stunning sight, and our tatami room was spacious and comfortable. The kaiseki meal was superb, and the onsen waters were excellent. It was a wonderful experience overall. Be sure to use the free shuttle bus from Kagaonsen Station, as the hotel is quite a distance away.
Kaga was my absolute favorite gem of a city during my Hokuriku trip! One day it even snowed ❄️ which was truly beautiful! I'll definitely come back to Hokuriku again next time!!!
very good experience! we had a nice stay there.
This was a truly satisfying stay. Before checking in, I had visited Shirakawa-go and was a little disappointed not to see any snow. But then, on my first morning at the hotel, I pulled back the curtains to find it snowing heavily! It was absolutely amazing. I decided right then and there not to go anywhere and just enjoy the snow from the hotel.
The hotel is a bit older, but the room was clean and...
Good and friendly staff, good food with basic onsen hotel amenities.

Chubu region, Kaga, 1-17-1 Yamanaka Onsen Higashi-cho 🧭 Map
The rooms are Japanese-style, and the bathtub is nice. Dinner is good, though served slowly, and has a Michelin-star quality. Breakfast is average. The hotel offers a shuttle bus to Kaga Station (advance reservations are required). If you're visiting Kanazawa, it's worth a trip.
Huazi is about a 25-minute drive from Kaga Onsen Station. The hotel will send an email to inquire about the arrival time and provide free pick-up. My last hotel was Jixiangting, which is a 5-minute walk away. I wandered around Yamanaka Onsen from the time I checked out at 11am to the time I checked in at 2pm. April 6th was the season when cherry blossoms and camellias were in full bloom, so there were...
Luxury and indulgence
What an amazing place. Beautiful, with the most attention to detail in every way. Giving it ten stars doesn’t do it justice.
Beautiful Ryokan and surrounding
We had a 4 day fantastic experience.
It's OK in every aspect, but the food is not the best, just average. And my contract specifications are very high, but on the first floor, the air is not cool

Very beautiful onsen hotspring hotel with good service. The hotel surrounded by mountains and small river. Very calm and quiet, it will release stress from daily city life.
This beautifully maintained hotel is a true hidden gem. Its stunning riverside onsen offers the perfect blend of relaxation and nature, letting you unwind while listening to the gentle flow of the river. Every moment here reflects the warmth and elegance of genuine Japanese hospitality—attentive service, thoughtful details, and a serene atmosphere that makes you feel completely at home. If you’re looking...
The room was old and run-down, and there were too many small animals. The "hot spring water" in the room seemed to be just boiled regular water; it didn't taste like hot spring water at all. The breakfast was unpalatable and extremely salty. I won't go back. 👎
The cost performance was great 😀
Although it was a short notice reservation, they were happy to accommodate.
The room was spacious and comfortable. The Japanese-style room was relaxing. The bath was also clean and relaxing. The open-air bath along the mountain stream requires you to descend quite a few steps along the slope, then climb back up after bathing, making it a good workout.
It's a great place to go and have something to...
The onsen is uniquely situated right by a stream, which made the onsen experience very enjoyable and interesting. However, since it hasn't been updated or renovated, guests have to climb 71 uneven rocks down and up in slippers, I do not recommend for people without strong legs or vision. Also, the outdoor spa is the only onsen in Japan that does NOT provide in-spa shower facilities. The slippers are...

Wonderful place. Greeted as we drove up, valet parking. Room was so nice and clean. Everybody was amazing and it was all perfect.
The food and bath were perfect, but the water in the bathroom in my room didn't drain well, so the front desk staff fixed it first. They dealt with it right away, but I wish they had checked beforehand. It was a very unpleasant experience. Also, I got a cheap plan, so it can't be helped, but there was noticeable black mold on the bathroom floor, and the mat in front of the toilet was noticeably frayed...
While the building's exterior exudes a sense of history, the interior has been renovated. Upon arrival, several staff members helped us with everything from car transfers to luggage handling. They were so enthusiastic and provided full service that we were almost in awe. We stayed in a Type C room with a semi-open-air bath, which was very modern and clean. We had learned in advance that Type C was...
The food and hot springs were very good. Thank you very much.
This was my first visit in four years. I stayed with the in-room dining plan. The room had been renovated the last time, but this time I was surprised to see that the baths had been renovated! A very nice sauna had been installed in the large baths on both the first and third floors, and there was even a relaxation space next to the cold bath. I was very satisfied with the food, the baths, and the...
I booked a room with an open-air bath and requested a shuttle from Kaga Onsen Station. Once I got off the station, there was a roof over my shoulder all the way to the shuttle bus stop, so I didn't need an umbrella. The open-air bath in the room was a very relaxing hot spring. The portions were large, but the simmered head of fish was well-seasoned, and my children ate everything. I also used the large...

This onsen hotel is very traditional, that’s what we wanted. The service is excellent and warm. Dinner and breakfast are really with regional ingredients.
Good place to recharge in between trips
A great hot spring hotel with one night and two meals. The service is great. The Kaiseki dinner and breakfast are delicious and tasty. I definitely recommend it!
The room is very spacious and the private bath gives you the freedom to bathe whenever you want. It's great!
The room was super big love the private bath, the hotel staff was very nice. Both meals were awesome.
Almost everything was in tip top condition including our requests for a vegetarian dunner and breakfast for one of our friends. Perhaps a hostess more fluent in english would have been helpful but anyway she was most gracious, attentive and courteous.
The amenities, food and service were really great!
Very very satisfied, the autumn scenery is beautiful, and the open-air hot spring in the room is amazing. Breakfast and dinner are super rich. Because of my eating habits, the hotel helped to modify the menu. Thank you very much! It is recommended to inform the hotel in advance when booking.

This hotel truly deserves its five-star rating. It's excellent. Although it's a bit far from the station, they offer a shuttle service, which is great.
The rooms are clean and the hot spring facilities are varied.
The staff were friendly and helpful, even recommending nearby restaurants.
You can also use the sister hot spring, Ruriko.
I really loved this hotel; unfortunately, I only stayed one night, but it was totally worth it! I'd love to come back again.
The room was clean, but it was a shame there wasn't a dinner-inclusive plan for solo travelers (or maybe I just couldn't find one?). Generally, I think the service is good, but I did notice some of the staff (waitresses?) chatting in the entrance while waiting for guests. I thought it might be better for them to wait in the back-of-house instead.
Traveling solo, I splurged on a Japanese-style room that could probably fit four people. It's an older ryokan, but that didn't really detract from the experience. The only thing was that during the off-season, the in-house restaurant for dinner was closed, so I had to buy food from a convenience store and bring it back.
Regarding the service, the shuttle driver was incredibly diligent and responsible...
This is a traditional Japanese hotel with an excellent location and good service. The public bath is open 24 hours, and the rooms are large and comfortable, though the facilities are a bit dated. Overall, it offers great value for money. The WiFi doesn't reach all rooms, and there's no signal at all on the fourth floor, which needs improvement.

Excellent onsen hotel in quiet yet popular location .. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Taiku drums nightly show was fun and great draw for families with kids. The service staff were very friendly.
The hotel is a bit remote and the facilities are a bit old. It takes 15 minutes to walk to Gusoyu (one of the attractions), and all the nearby shops are open after 5 pm, so if you arrive before 3 pm, it is very inconvenient to go out and find food! However, the hotel's hot spring facilities are great, with indoor and outdoor free 24-hour use, and an outdoor foot bath. The kaiseki cuisine in the evening...
The room is big enough and clean
I took my mother, who has trouble walking, with me, and they provided a wheelchair for her, and a Japanese-Western style room for her, who has trouble getting out of bed, which was very helpful.
Of course, the hot springs were also very pleasant, and my mother was very happy with them.
This Japanese-style hot spring hotel has complete facilities and the lobby is decorated in a very luxurious style. We arrived early and enjoyed the free afternoon tea and foot bath first. When we checked in at 3 o'clock, a waiter in kimono guided us to the door of the room, which was very considerate. After taking a bath, we had dinner on the 2nd floor of the hotel as scheduled. I booked this hotel for the Fukui Marathon. Its location couldn't be more perfect, right downstairs from the start and finish lines, making it ideal for pre-race rest and post-race recovery. The hotel facilities are a bit dated, but it has everything you need. It was a pleasant travel experience overall.
Lobby is grand and great area, check in service is fast, smooth and patient for serving. Lobby contain a 24-hr shop for us buying snack. Room is clean, big and window can sightseeing city view, great. Bed is comfortable, hotel provide types of pillow for selection , comfortable for sleeping well.
Perfect stay! A varied breakfast with a beautiful view. A cozy room.
I really enjoyed the night at Hotel fujita Fukui. The staff are so nice and the room was nice as a single room. They would not allow early check-in, but you can leave your luggage there. The hotel is about 10 minutes away from the Fukui station by walk.
The room was small, but clean and well renovated. It is a bit far from the train station. After checking-in, don't forget to grab some amenity kits from the front desk area.

Good location, parking available onsite. Hotel provided free soba and cup noodles!
Their breakfast buffet stands out as always, featuring local Fukui specialties like soba and sauce katsu. Together with the tonsen and free night-time ramen, all these provide incredible value.
The hotel's location near the JR station is very convenient, and there's a department store right next door. The hotel itself is quite new and the room facilities are excellent. What I love most about the Dormy Inn group are their hot spring facilities and their thoughtful breakfast selection. This particular location feels just as good as Onyado Nono.
The location is good and maybe there is more people choose to stay here. Good to have more lifts to help serve the crowd
I had a great stay here. Staff were always very friendly and helpful, breakfast was tasty as were the 21:30 noodles. Onsen was hot and relaxing. I’d defintely come back
Good location, nearby fukui station, lot of restaurants surronding. Room was very clean, exceptionally clean in bathroom, with plenty of space, but the design was not quite making good use of space.

Theres only one chair in the lobby, that nobody can sit on, because it's got a strong parfume dispenser right next to it, that goes off every 15 seconds. The people on reception have bad english. There’s no Laundry room, only expensive Laundry service, that doesn’t work on the weekends. The guests above us must have had kids or something, because they were constantly making loud thumping noises.
Clean and comfortable environment.
Great service and staff. Comfortable room in a great location near the Kanazawa loop. Would stay again and recommend.
Located in the business center, the hotel offers excellent service. The rooms, while not large, are well-laid out and have complete toiletries. It's within walking distance of attractions such as Kenrokuen Garden and Kanazawa Castle. There are buses to Kanazawa Station on the left side of the street outside the hotel. Overall, it was a great stay.
This hotel is in an excellent location, with friendly, helpful service and generally good quality rooms.
One downside to my stay was the bed, which was very uncomfortable.
The hotel's proximity to the old districts, museums and gardens is a big plus.
Superb location and hospitality. Spacious, clean, and quiet room. I attended the Kanazawa Marathon on the weekend, the hotel location is right across the street, and the hotel was so caring to open breakfast buffet at 6:30am so runners can have breakfast before race.

The room is very clean and the space is quite large compared to other Japan hotels. Really enjoyed the staying here!
The room had a strange odor, which I didn't like. It was spacious enough though. The staff seemed a bit grumpy, but I'll still give it four stars, even if it wasn't quite up to expectations. There were a lot of people checking in for the Lantern Festival.
The staff was very nice, very helpful and good English, spacious room, clean and great amenities, near Kanazawa Castle, traditional Omachi market, very close to Kanazawa Station (walking around 20-30 minutes)(public transport starting operation 7 30 in the morning) and near to public bath house (Onsen), will return to stay next time
2nd time staying here, it’s very convenient as it’s walking distance to Omicho market and oyama shrine, which also leads to Kanazawa castle park and kenrokuen garden.
Clean and a decent size for the price, had no problems staying here so far. Staff are friendly and helpful w
The hotel is in an excellent location, just a short walk from Omicho Market, Kanazawa Castle, and the garden. The room size and amenities are quite good. The staff were friendly and provided great service; they kindly kept our luggage safe even after we checked out, allowing us to enjoy another half day exploring Kanazawa before leaving this beautiful city.
Had a fantastic stay at the Kanazawa Inn! The location is superb, within walking distance to attractions like Kenrokuen Garden. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and quite spacious. The location is about a 10-minute taxi ride from the station, but it's close to nearby tourist attractions. The front desk staff are all friendly. The matcha set sold at the first-floor cafe is also very satisfying.
Love the modern decor and style
I was concerned that the air conditioning in the hotel lobby and hallways was too strong.
I would be happy if there were a wider variety of amenities.
The hotel itself was very clean and convenient, with convenience stores and markets within walking distance.
This is a hotel I would definitely stay at again if I come to Kanazawa.
We have a 2-year-old child, so the Japanese-style room was comfortable.
The hotel's welcome service and breakfast were really great.
The menu was different on the second day, and the quiche was delicious.
I would like to stay at this hotel again next time I visit Kanazawa in a different season.
The space is very artistic and clean, and I'm very satisfied. Bicycle rentals are also available, making it easy to access the surrounding area, including Rikugien Garden and the market.
The breakfast was also delicious, thank you very much.
I'd like to use this facility again.
From Shirakawa Station, take any bus to Oyama Jinja Shrine, cross the road, and look to the right. The hotel is in a great location, within a 20-minute walk of many attractions. Mitsui Garden always be my first hotel when I explore the new region in Japan. Location is a bit outside the main central city, in walking distance. The hotel servicer can easily communicate with English, understand customer needs, that's super nice. And Mitsui Garden normally have the top floor hot tube area which is super good for me to relax after full day travel around.
The hotel's overall environment is outstanding. Dining by the window offers spectacular views, which was a real treat. The breakfast spread was extensive with fresh ingredients, leaving me very satisfied. The biggest surprise was the hot spring bath area on the top floor; soaking in the springs while enjoying the view outside the window was an incredible experience. Overall, my stay was fantastic!
This was a lovely hotel. The room was spacious to open 2 luggages and was clean. There was a tub in the toilet which was large.
The main selling point of this hotel was the amazing breakfast. The buffet spread was abundant and had many options, and the view of the snow out the window as we ate was definitely one of the highlights of our trip.
It is also located well near the bus stop that takes you...
This is my second time staying here. The room is nice, but it's a bit far from the subway. We drove, and parking was very expensive – we had to find our own spot. However, it's just 200 meters from Omicho Market, and within walking distance to Kanazawa Castle Park, Kenroku-en, and Higashi Chaya District. The hotel is clean and has a public bath and laundry room.
This garden hotel offers an excellent experience! The location is superb, very close to major attractions. They even provided a free one-day bus pass, which was fantastic! The rooftop hot springs were so relaxing. I'd definitely stay here again if I have the chance. Breakfast was also very extensive.
The hotel is quite a walk from the station, about 20 minutes, or you can take a bus. It's very close to the seafood market. The hotel has a large public bath. For breakfast, the hotel's own breakfast is good, or you can choose to eat at partner restaurants in the seafood market.

The Square hotel Kanazawa was our favourite hotel in Japan so far. 15 minutes walk from Kanazawa Starion and in a great location for our short stay in Kanazawa (we now wish we had booked longer). We walked everywhere, including to the old Samurai district.

Great location, very close to the station and surprisingly quiet. However, there was a strong BBQ smell in the hotel hallway, likely from the yakiniku restaurant downstairs. It actually smelled quite good! We even ended up eating there. My clothes definitely smelled of grilled meat afterward. I didn't take any photos of the hotel itself, but it had a rather artistic vibe to it.
Walking distance to Kanazawa Station, seems like a good breakfast spread. Very good value given the price.
Hotel is close to Kanazawa train station. Good dining restaurants at the station. I have booked a bus trip to ShirakawaGo which is just behind the stations. The Samurai’s residence area and the Ninja temple was places of interest. Love to come back again.

Very high quality, comfortable, and beautiful hotel at reasonable price. Its location by the castle makes it very convenient for exploring the castle and Kenrokuen on snowy days.
Its Kaga Ryori dining is exquisite and value for money! The hotel shop has a very good selection of products at reasonable prices.
The onsen has cold and hot bath, as well as a sauna with TV.
The hotel is very thoughtful...
A very mixed bag of a hotel.
Located in the historic center, all the sights are easily accessible.
Clean, friendly staff, but...a strange combination of an old hotel with a 60s-80s style and a modern renovation...vintage chairs and furniture and a modern plastic sink (they could have done everything in the same style).
The hot spring is average.
It's obvious they tried to renovate the bathrooms,...
The hotel service was excellent, with a shuttle bus from the JR subway station. The hotel's decor was retro-style, and the teaware and tableware were made of local Maruya ware porcelain—very beautiful! The breakfast was also delicious, with everything I liked. The location was very convenient, close to Kenrokuen Garden.
Hakuchoro is a classic in Kanzawa, the decor is very tastefully done and the overall atmosphere has character. There's a dedicated shuttle bus, and the service is quite good... It's a bit of a shame we didn't get to soak in the hot springs... It's very close to the attractions, making it convenient to walk there with kids... There's also classical music performance in the evening.

Our four-night stay at Hotel Nikko Kanazawa was excellent. The location is very convenient, just a 6-7 minute walk from Kanazawa JR Station. The hotel itself is grand and exudes an old-money elegance. It's clean, comfortable, and the breakfast buffet was abundant, high-quality, and delicious. The service was also very attentive.
This is a very clean and lovely hotel with an excellent location, right next to the station. It's super convenient for buying souvenirs and food. The stay was also very comfortable. Whenever I travel in Japan, Nikko Hotels are always my first choice because they never disappoint!
Stayed two nights in Kanazawa. It's truly a bustling place. The architecture outside the train station resembles a museum, and the fountain with the changing date display is quite unique. The hotel is about two blocks from the train station, which is pretty close. For sightseeing, I'd recommend taking a taxi as walking can be a bit far, even though the city isn't huge. The hotel itself is quite modern...
This is one of the best hotels in Kanazawa. Although it's been open for over 30 years, it's still very well-maintained. The rooms on the higher floors offer superb views of the entire city, much better than what you'd get at Sanraku or Hyatt. The breakfast quality is also excellent.
One of my favorite hotels during this trip!
**Ambiance:** Even though it's an older hotel built in the last century, both the hard furnishings and soft decor are incredibly well-maintained. While the style might be a bit retro, it's tastefully done. The room was over 30 square meters, which is quite spacious for Japan.
**Cleanliness:** Virtually spotless.
**Facilities:** Didn't have time to visit...
The room was spacious and well-equipped. The breakfast was incredibly rich and substantial, typical of the Nikko style.

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The room was extremely comfortable and we had a good nights rest. Very good location to the train station and the breakfast was delicious!
The location is absolutely fantastic! It's connected directly to Kanazawa Station by a walkway, so even when it was snowing, I barely needed an umbrella. However, **the photos are completely misleading and deceptive!** They make the room look huge and spacious with a sofa, implying there'd be plenty of space for luggage. But when my friend and I got in, we were practically bumping into each other ...
Hotel is located outside the train station. Has lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. Its about half an hours walk to the castle attraction.

Convenient to walk to Kenrokuen and nearby attractions. Train station was an easy walk of no more than 15 minutes.
Plenty of eateries around the hotel, no more than 5 minutes walk away.
Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Second stay in...
The rooms are clean, and each one comes with a foot massager, which is really soothing after a long day of walking. The breakfast selection is varied and plentiful, and the staff are very helpful and patient, even when there's a language barrier. The location is convenient, with a supermarket right across the street. Overall, it's a great place!
Nice hotel with reasonable price, good room size and very clean.but check in a bit slow.must try local seafood at omicho market beside the hotel.
Good option for Kanazawa, close to train station and omicho market.
The hotel is a bit of a walk from Kanazawa Station, but it's a straight shot on major roads, so it's not hard to manage even with luggage. Just a few steps to the right out of the hotel, you'll find a fantastic coffee shop with great breakfast. Kanazawa isn't very big, and the attractions are relatively concentrated. The food is delicious, making it a convenient stopover point for exploring the Hokuriku...

Quite a walk from the station but otherwise a proper hotel for the area.
This hotel offers great value for money, even though it was slightly overpriced due to Japan's spring break. The room was quite spacious. I especially loved the hotel's large public bath; it was so relaxing and washed away all the fatigue. The breakfast was also good, but since there were many tour groups, we sometimes had to wait for a table in the morning. It's an 8-minute walk from Kanazawa Station...
Lovely place. Value for money. The rooms are clean, bed comfortable. Location is 8 minutes walk from the train station but you’ll have to use the underpass if you’re bringing a large luggage. Plenty of restaurants at the train station and the bus loop also starts there so very convenient. Only bad note of that there is nothing much other than a 7 Eleven in its immediate surroundings
In is very convenient location, close to the Kanazawa station, frienly staff and worth every penny
Great service, big comfy beds and very clean room. Separate bathroom and toilet. The only thing I can pick on is the room design that puts the washing basin outside as it takes away quite some usable space for the luggage when the room itself is quite spacious. We had two 55-65cm suitcases but still struggled slightly to get space for both.
It's genuinely very close to Kinshicho Station. The room was a bit small, but having a 7-Eleven downstairs was convenient for buying things. The hotel has a large public bath, which was nice for a soak. The front desk staff were very friendly. I'd definitely stay here again next time.

A great traditional Japanese accommodation with half-boarded experience! Loved the dinner & breakfast. so exclusive & yummi food. Friendly staff
Great location, great food, very clean and friendly place to stay and visit the center city Kanazawa
The hotel is quiet and clean with nice Onsen (natural hot spring baths). The location is near the train station but not near enough to hear the trains. The dinner and breakfast were both good. The staff was very friendly and provided great service. It was raining (pouring actually) on us prior to our arrival and they dried our shoes, dried our umbrellas, and wiped us off when we walked in.

An excellent hotel. The service was also excellent, and the food for both breakfast and dinner was superb. A truly wonderful, high-quality Japanese hotel.
Great location, delicious food.

Stayed for 1 night during NY holidays in this wonderful hotel.
The property is located on a quiet street within a walking distance from the train station and main landmarks. Not too many restaurants or combinies nearby
Triple room was spacious, nicely furnished with all amenities one can need.
Nice Japanese breakfast is served in the morning, beverages are available 24/7 at the reception, evening...
It’s a nice hotel in a nice location right by the fish market. Was disappointed that there was no laundry they can provide tho. The breakfast was good and staff lovely
The hospitality was good and the room was clean
Great location
Bit pricey
Easy parking across the road
Not many restaurant choices nearby though
The hotel is not big, but it is good enough, right? The breakfast is simple.
An impeccable hotel, excellent in every aspect.
However, the hotel name sign was on Kanazawa papyrus, so we braved the heavy snow and wandered at the door for a long time and couldn't find it. We didn't know where the Kanazawa Ethnographic Hotel came from on Ctrip. . .

The hotel's location is great, about a five-minute walk to the station. The room size was very satisfactory, and the bathroom had a clear dry/wet separation and was spacious and easy to use.
This hotel is super convenient, just a short walk from the West Exit of Kanazawa Station, right next to the Hyatt. Compared to other Daiwa hotels, the decor here is much more refined, and the room was quite spacious. Really impressed!
Hotel Location: Strategically situated just a short walk from JR Kanazawa station, the hotel is easily accessible via the nearby shopping mall. It’s conveniently located next to Hyatt Centric, and a short stroll takes you to Omicho Market for fresh seafood.
Facilities: The hotel boasts a public bath, a welcome addition during the cold winter months. Additional amenities, including coffee drip bags...
Room is spacious and very nicely decorated. There’s tv console with vanity corner, with plenty of table top space which is typically lacking in compact hotel rooms. Bathroom is spacious with separated toilet, bathroom and sink area.
An excellent hotel rather near the Kanazawa Train Station. There are also some good Japanese restaurants opposite the hotel.
The room is spacious, contemporary with Japanese flavour. The facilities and amenities are comprehensive like body lotion, shampoo, comb, Onsen towel scrub, and tooth brush. The Onsen is rather small but sufficient as the turnover rate is pretty high since there is not much...
The staff were very friendly, they can speak English, and the location is close to Kanazawa Station. The room was clean, but the carpet tended to collect quite a bit of dust.

Simply beautiful Japanese ryokan, with amazing service and food.
Traditional stay in beautiful room & hotel. As non Japanese speakers the staff tried really hard with Google translate to communicate with us which was appreciated. Food was delicious & different each day. The garden view from the rooms & dining area were lovely. The only minor complaint was the hard Japanese style pillow which seemed to be full of rice or some kind of grain??? We tried to embrace...
So incredible. The whole stay is an authentic experience that I enjoyed so much. The rooms are simple, yet felt so fun to be in an adventure. The food is authentic Japanese and our group loved trying flavors and items we’d never imagined trying before.
The baths here are so deep and soothing at night.
If you’re someone who needs their comforts and western familiarities this may not be the place for...
This is a beautiful ryokan and the room itself was great. Peaceful, traditional, with a beautiful well-kept garden. Unfortunately, the staff spoke very poor English, to the point that communication was difficult. Also, they insisted on rigid timelines for breakfast and dinner: they come knocking on your door for each meal -- it felt a bit as if I am living in a dorm. Most importantly, I did not appreciate...
