Very beautiful onsen hotspring hotel with good service. The hotel surrounded by mountains and small river. Very calm and quiet, it will release stress from daily city life.

The room was old and run-down, and there were too many small animals. The "hot spring water" in the room seemed to be just boiled regular water; it didn't taste like hot spring water at all. The breakfast was unpalatable and extremely salty. I won't go back. 👎

Although it was a short notice reservation, they were happy to accommodate.
The room was spacious and comfortable. The Japanese-style room was relaxing. The bath was also clean and relaxing. The open-air bath along the mountain stream requires you to descend quite a few steps along the slope, then climb back up after bathing, making it a good workout.
It's a great place to go and have something to talk about.

The onsen is uniquely situated right by a stream, which made the onsen experience very enjoyable and interesting. However, since it hasn't been updated or renovated, guests have to climb 71 uneven rocks down and up in slippers, I do not recommend for people without strong legs or vision. Also, the outdoor spa is the only onsen in Japan that does NOT provide in-spa shower facilities. The slippers are also not sanitized. The overall experience just feels not as clean. Most of all, the night we stayed had no hot water in the room or in the in-door spa, so we couldn't even shower before we go to bed. Unbelievably, the hotel didn't apologize or make any kind of gesture even after our tour guide expressed dissatisfaction.

A romantic and relaxing getaway. We made a detour to rest here when travelling from Tokyo to Osaka. If you are arriving late in the day, bring some food as there are limited options unless you want to walk into town. I believe you can pre-book dinners. They did offer to make us something though, which was sweet! The breakfast was fresh and authentic. The facility is clean. Beautiful open air baths. A room with a private onsen is a must!

Wonderful. The staff provides beautiful service and are very attentive.

Make sure to book pick-up in advance, or check the bus times. I love that it was further away from the city centre, which is why I chose it :) Secluded and quiet.

The hotel is not flexible with pick-up and drop-off.
I had written on Trip.com in advance that I wanted to be picked up and dropped off at the station early to participate in the Sakura Marathon, but they ignored me and didn't arrange for a taxi or anything.
It might be fine if you're visiting by rental car, but I wonder why it's so expensive without dinner.
I was expecting breakfast to be a buffet, but it was a set meal. The staff were laughing and talking while eating, which didn't feel very good.
The open-air bath in the room was nice, but the bath area only had three bathtubs and a sauna that weren't that big.

The Sakura Marathon runners don't seem to be considerate, and it's far away, so if you don't have a rental car, you should definitely not stay here.

I don't want to stay here again, so I would like a refund.

Booked this for friends, they all said it was very good, unique and I like it. I will try it again if I have the chance. Travel attractions are very important, and the hotel you stay in is also very important. A good hotel will make you happy after a tiring day.
