Modernized ryokan with its own onsen. 5 minute walk to the train station, not too many restaurants / bars around the hotel. Lovely garden and nice rooms. The main onsen shouldn‘t be used if you have tattoos but there is a private family bath that can be used with tattoos. The family bath is first come first served, so you might need to wait a while… Breakfast was delicious and plenty!

The building itself looks old, but the rooms and facilities have been renovated and are comfortable. They face the courtyard and have a nice atmosphere.
The breakfast was also delicious.
The location is close to the station, the hot springs are available, and the price is reasonable, making it perfect for business travelers.

The hotel is very quiet and has great sea views, but there aren't many dining options nearby and it's a bit far out.

The staff is very polite and helpful, the hot springs are very comfortable, there is a family hot spring room for 2 people to soak themselves, the neat environment seems to be very clean. The most problem is my room 1 into a very up smell, should be the room carpet, strong smell really, slept very bad all night, smelled 1 night, have not tried so want to leave the room, suggest fixing the carpet

This was my first time visiting Tottori, and I chose a hot spring inn. With over 100 years of history, it's very well maintained. The rooms were quite spacious, the hot spring was very comfortable, and the best part was the private baths—no reservations needed! The only downside was the poor soundproofing in the rooms, but that's to be expected given it's an old establishment. 😅

There's ample parking right in front of the entrance. The front desk staff are courteous and friendly. The location is also convenient, just a five-minute walk from the station.

It's hard to review this hot spring inn. It's quite new, and the facilities are okay, but the wooden building creaks when the air conditioner is on on hot days. It creaked a few times in the middle of the night, preventing me from getting much sleep in the first half of the night, but that doesn't seem like a fixable problem.
As for the price, it's quite high for Tottori, but the food was mediocre. It was fresh, but dinner was overloaded with fish, accompanied by cold pumpkin soup. The fishy flavor was enhanced by the pumpkin soup, and the overall combination wasn't well thought out. Breakfast was even more shocking: a pile of pickles... no matter how beautiful the dishes, they were still pickles... and finally a small grilled fish. This is below average for inn dining.
The older waiters were generally quite helpful, but the younger ones weren't, and didn't greet each other very proactively.
I won't be going back.

Room was spacious. Onsen facilities were good and there is even a private onsen for families / solo travellers

The hot spring inn is about a 5-minute walk from Tottori Station. I stayed for one night without meals, but I was warmly welcomed. It was clean and comfortable, and I felt like I wanted to stay a little longer. Another nice thing was that I could use the hot spring all night.
