Guesthouse Narakomachi in Nara

We stayed for 2 nights at this guesthouse. It was the perfect space to crash after spending the day in Kyoto and Nara. It is walkable to the nearest train station. Our room was small but just what we needed. The shared space was also very helpful. We loved staying in a place that was inexpensive and easy to book, but one that did not feel like a stale hotel room. The owner, on site during normal opening hours, was very helpful and spoke very good English. We were also able to meet other families and couples enjoying their stay in the shared spaces. We would definitely book here again!

It is an excellent location within walking distance from Geku, a Komeda's Coffee, and a 7-11. The price we got was very good (around 4000+ a night per person), especially for Ise. Parking was provided.

The service was superb and attention was paid to numerous small things. Weather for the next day was updated in the common room. There were guidebook provided on all nearby sights, food, and bathhouses. We were there for the okihiki ceremony, and they had additional information provided for it.

All this really made a huge difference to our trip planning and was sorely missed when we moved on to other accomodation.

Amazing hosts perfect lil place for a solo traveler. Great location. Comfy beds. Comfy stay . Hope to be back one day!

Lovely stay. We felt truly at home. The host is a very friendly lady. There is a cozy community area with a small but well equipped kitchen. Since we are out early in the mornings for long walks and sightseeing and eat out for lunch we love to stay in in the evenings (especially in the colder weather now) and do some cooking - that was possible here. We fully enjoyed our stay. Super clean everywhere, room was spacious enough with our bigger luggage, as we travel the world. Thank you! 🙏🏻🫶🏻

Had an amazing stay there for one night. It wasn’t too small, and it was super comfy and cozy. Love the bed and pillow! Will definitely come back here again

2 night stay in Nara
Super comfy guesthouse in Nara close to the station. They had a smal kitchen and fridge for guests. As well as a lot of books, manga, PlayStation.
Stayed in the room with private toilet and shower. It was great. Would highly recommend a stay here if you’re ever visiting Nara

Perfect location.
Perfect location, as it's very close to the train station as well as the deer park. The room had everything you needed and a very comfortable bed. The communal ktchen area was excellent and again has everything you could possibly need and also a lovely eating area. Everything was perfect. The host was also very helpful and friendly.
Highly recommend staying here.

Very good accommodation with complete facilities. Near Nara Station and Nara Park, making it easy to find food. The accommodation has everything you need and there are also games to play.
