This hostel is conveniently located near Kyoto University. The hosts were kind and it was a comfortable place to live.

There are no washing machines, but there are several within a 15-minute walk, so that was fine.

It's also close to the Philosopher's Path, so I took a short walk there every morning before going to work!

I didn't stay because of schedule changes. But since there is no refund plan, even if it was confirmed two weeks ago that I couldn't stay, the room would have to be left empty. I knew this before I made the reservation, so I accepted it. I just really think it's a pity for me, potential guests, and the landlord. If there is a partial refund plan based on the decreasing time, it may be the best.

This is a very nice and clean accommodation! I stayed just one person for 3 nights. Owner is friendly, helpful, and kind! Close to major bus routes. Shower and bathroom were clean and easily accessible. Great guest house, i enjoyed my stay!

This was my second stay in one year and I chose it because of its proximity to The Philosophers Walk as well as being located in a residential community, though quite close to a major temple as well as quieter and lovely ones. There are only 4 rooms; this is a typical lodging house - shared bath and kitchen. Proprietor Nakamoto is very helpful !!!

Overall, this property was nice. It's a more authentic Japanese experience, not much amenities in the room. You sleep on the floor on futons.

A bit far from the bustling tourist spots of Kyoto
It's a great place to take a morning walk and visit Silver Pavilion
Feels like a home located on the corner of Philosopher's Road
There are local marts and drugstores nearby.
I ate breakfast at a nearby Doutor Coffee.
It was quiet, relaxing and good

Although it is a shared shower, it is kept clean and can be used sequentially.

The place is clean and owner come at gueshouse every 3pm/4pm to clean everything/wait guest to check in.
