This was better then we expected. Really nice location, close to the old town (walking distance), but still quite. Some of our favorites restaurants where from the street next to the hotel.

Small but convenient and quiet and comfortable
Nice location in Gion, close to noteworthy points both at night and during the day

The room was rather small; with two large suitcases open, space had to be cleverly utilized. Room cleaning was done at fixed times, every other day, but towels were changed and trash disposed of daily upon request. The room seemed well soundproofed; I heard very little noise during my four-night stay. The hotel is located in a small alley; the road in front is a 17-minute walk from Kiyomizu-dera Temple, and about a 10-minute walk from both the subway and bus stops. The longer I stayed, the more comfortable and convenient it became. I forgot to take pictures of the room, only the road leading to Kiyomizu-dera Temple.

I thought the location would be a bit off-putting, considering it's a bit far from Kyoto Station, but it's also close to Kiyomizu-dera Temple, and there were more restaurants and attractions nearby than I expected! The facilities were nice, and most importantly, the staff were friendly!

I was staying alone, so there was no need for an extra bed. The room was spacious enough for one person, and could even accommodate two people with luggage. However, you need to pick up your own toothbrush and toothpaste from a designated area when you go upstairs, as there are none in the bathroom. The best thing about this place is its proximity to Gion-Shijo (within 10 minutes) and Kiyomizu-dera Temple (about a 10-minute walk). It's convenient for getting to Shijo and several bus stops, and there's a supermarket just a short distance away (5-6 minutes). There are also many temples and shrines nearby.

Clean, the front desk staff is friendly and amiable, the location is close to Kiyomizu Temple, the toilet is big enough, there are water dispensers, ice machines and ice buckets for guests to use, the only drawback is that there is no cleaning service (you need to pay extra)

I stayed here for 5 nights and I enjoyed staying here. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and I felt comfortable staying here. The area was close to walk to places but away from the crowds. I would highly recommend and I'd stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay here, the staff were incredibly kind, patient and helpful, the rooms were clean, tastefully done and very comfortable, and the location is perfectly close to everything but on a quiet street.

We are definitely be staying here again!

I stayed here for 6 nights and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and it helped that their English was good. The room was very clean and had the described amenities. I liked the area too - close to walk to places but away from the hustle and bustle. I would stay here again!
