SOLARIA Nishitetsu Hotel Kyoto Premier in Kyoto

I was very pleased with the hotel room design, comfort and space. The parking is first come first serve even though I had requested for it earlier so I had to park elsewhere for the first few nights. Location is excellent. Staff even found my discarded SIM card and were honest to callback and inform me about it.

I chose this hotel because they mentioned to have parking spot however it was very disappointed. Everyday you have to go somewhere else to park and pay a very high fee. The reception is not very helpful and feel very frustrated. The hot spring is dirty and packed with people.

good location, spacious room and cozy design, just the sound proof not good and the noise from the traffic is quite disturbing at the night.

Location:
Superb! Located between 2 stations - SANJO and Kyoto shiyakusho-Mae station. Shiyakusho-Mae is nearer to the hotel (exit 1),  about a min walk away after climbing two flights of stairs. However, if you have luggage, would suggest to go via exit 3, take the lift to another hotel lobby (I can’t recall the hotel name). Solaris is across the street from this hotel. I don’t see any lift if taking exit 1. 

Amenities
Good selection and of good quality. They use Laura Ashley toiletries. Amenities can be picked up at the reception - you take what you need - hair band, cotton pads/buds, toothbrush, comb etc.

Food
I did not order breakfast from the hotel. There are cafes around and at the underground mall. The hotel will provide you with a list of cafes and restaurants serving local Kyoto food and other cuisines. 

Reception 
Staff are friendly and welcoming. There is luggage delivery between hotels. I left my luggage at reception before 10am
And the luggage was delivered to my hotel at Osaka by 6pm.

Room
I booked  triple room facing the river. The view was pleasant and my room was located on the second floor so I can see guests and locals exercising and jogging along the riverbank. Room is clean. I did not use the public bath located at basement level.  There is bath tub in the room, sea salt, the towels, stool and a little basin are provided.

Very good stay, hotel staff very friendly. Room room size is okay for 2 pax.
Just by the Kamo River, love the morning walks just by the river. Food and shopping conveniently by the hotel location.

Great location, spacious rooms, and very clean overall. It's conveniently close to the subway station and situated right by the Kamo River. The service was exceptional, absolutely deserving of full marks. The only minor drawback was the hotel's self-service laundry facility. With only one machine for men and two for women, availability was extremely limited, and there was some confusion with female guests occasionally using the men's machine by mistake. I only managed to use it once, early on a weekday morning (around 6-7 AM) during the off-season. I imagine it would be virtually impossible to get a turn during peak season or on weekends.

Nice Hotel, the station and the convenience store are about ard 5minutes walk from the hotel.

Convenient location for sight seeing, dining and traveling. Close to three very frequently use metro stations, easy to get access to different tourist attractions by trains or by walk. Many restaurants nearby. Or simply enjoy the morning sunshine by the river, take a walk, go jogging or cycling.
