Best Hotels in Shima

Spain Mura is a hidden gem with some of most enjoyable roller coasters! The best part about this place is that it’s not well known. It seems like the local population know of it but it’s not really know to tourists

It's not super expensive, it was not crowded and the rides were fun enough. Overall I had a good time and enjoyed myself there for an afternoon

I definitely had fun at this park. It is a mellow and quieter version of Disneyland. I'd rather visit this theme park as it was not so crowded, rides are thrilling, and my favorite, is that there is no queue

While I was here, I explored the whole park in around an hour then went on all of the rides. Each ride had a wait time of approximately 2 minutes (just waiting for the last group to finish)

Low key, calmer and much better value for money vs Disneyland. Definitely a great place to visit and the kids totally enjoyed it. Less crowded also compared to many places in Japan.

I was really impressed with the large roller coaster “Pyrenees”. It had features similar to the flying dinosaur at universal. The other rides also had no line and were really fun

The luxury, uplifting feeling, and service were all excellent. I want to go again.

The room and facilities were clean and nice. Breakfast was a little late, which was a bit of a problem, but the food was delicious and enjoyable. The shuttle bus from Kashikojima Station was on time and very good.

I was too busy with my schedule so I wasn't able to relax, but next time I'd like to stay here and relax. My only concern was that I had to wait a bit outside the restaurant for breakfast

It was a wonderful resort. You can choose between Western and Japanese breakfast. I chose the Western option and enjoyed the bread, smoothies, and other delicious dishes.

This time I stayed in a villa-type room, and the interior was very beautiful and the view from the room was great. I would like to stay here again.

The hotel had a unified concept and the view was great. The rooms had just been renovated and were very clean and stylish

The hospitality, the rooms, and the food were all excellent. It's perfect as a resort hotel. The only drawback was that there was a fly flying around in the restaurant

The unlimited use of bath towels was a fantastic service for us, as we love to soak multiple times. The view from our room, with the calm sea and beautiful sunset, was absolutely stunning

It was a mystical view that made me wonder if it was like this in ancient times. The baths, food, and facilities in the hotel were all wonderful and very enjoyable

This is a traditional, large-scale hot spring ryokan. I've been to many hot spring ryokans, and most of them felt deserted with few staff and many foreign guests

The view from the inn was amazing. The quality of the hot spring was also excellent. Dinner was lavish and delicious

The onsen facilities were excellent—especially the outdoor bath, which provided a tranquil and relaxing atmosphere. Both dinner and breakfast were wonderful. I would definitely stay at this hotel again

When I took a bath in the open-air bath at night, it was a full moon. There was almost no light in the scenery other than the moonlight, and only the moonlight shone on the surface of the sea

The large public bath had a nice atmosphere, and the water felt good, but it would have been even better if it was a free-flowing bath. The hotel staff were also very friendly and the service was excellent

The large window in the room overlooked the bay, and the sunset was the best view! Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, with seafood in abundance

The Nemu Resort Hotel is a great quiet place to be secluded from the ruckus of a major city. Lovely place just to relax and enjoy the natural surroundings.

We roasted marshmallows in the lounge, played table tennis, and enjoyed morning yoga, so we had plenty of activities to enjoy

As the reviews said, it wasn't a new building, but it was clean. The bath was also cleaned regularly by the staff, which was nice. The sunset cruise, which was an activity I booked, was also wonderful

Before I had even arrived with my family Hikari the concierge had been assisting me with transport, tour guides, luggage concierge. The service in this hotel is beyond excellent

Whilst staying we visited the spa, again service was excellent and the massages definitely worth a visit. This hotel is worth a visit, as is the area which is beautiful

The hotel is clean, the food is exceptional a mixture of Japanese and French. If they see you don’t like something, they ask what you didn’t like so that they can accommodate your tastes for future meals

It was the first time for my child to wash in the bathtub and only have a shower, so he was surprised, but I think it was a good experience

The gap between the fence around the entrance was wide and there was a risk of children falling in, and the bathtub was a freestanding type made overseas, so it was quite high and caution was needed

The first road is only wide enough for one car, so we recommend driving with extreme caution! The room is very spacious and extremely clean. There are four beds and up to six people can stay

This was a really nice room in a really nice hotel. I went during a slow time of year so I guess I got a pretty good rate. I got the large sea view room and the views were awesome

The hotel is located 2-3 minutes from the station. The staff was friendly and nice. The room had some history but it was huge. The view was quite good as well

The price is cheap, the hygiene is good, and the comfort is better than expected. The disadvantage is that the location is too remote

Only nitpick would be that I wish there were more outlets in the room for charging. 6 people in a room with two outlets. The futon were clean and the pillows very nice. The food was great both at dinner and breakfast

I would recommend the upgraded 🍽️ options. We had a standard and a nicer set and the money was well spent for the upgrade

The view from the window was beautiful. The room was also clean and I was able to relax. The surrounding shops close in the evening, but the hotel kindly provided a car to take us to a recommended restaurant

Even though it was a Sky Tower, the room was spacious and the hot spring was comfortable, making it a fantastic room. We had a private room and the menu made generous use of local Mie ingredients, including spiny lobster

The ingredients were quite good and the portions were generous, making it a very satisfying dinner. The private bath, called Ten no Kagami, is spacious and luxuriously designed

We went in before dusk, so we enjoyed the view. The Sazanami Lounge, located on the beachfront, is amazing. It's close to the ocean and has drinks and snacks, making it a space you can stay in for a long time

The minibar is for free and refilled every day. There are two extraordinary lounges where snacks and beverages are available for free all day. This hotel still is a hidden gem with mainly japanese guests

The rooms themselves appear to be the same size, but the Sora room uses more space for the open-air bath, while the Akari room seems to have made the open-air bath space smaller and made the room larger

At night, the lights from the neighboring hotel were beautiful and added a nice accent to the scenery. In addition to the food and facilities, I was very satisfied with the hospitality service

I stayed here with seven of my high school classmates to celebrate my 60th birthday. The hotel offered complimentary red wine and lent us a red chanchanko set for photos. Thanks to them, we had a very enjoyable dinner

The in-room dining was excellent. The food was delicious and the portions were just right. The view was amazing.

We use it every year! The rice was also very delicious, and when I told them that I had an allergy and couldn't eat shrimp and squid, they changed it to a different dish. The customer service was also very pleasant

I didn't drive, and the hotel is located on a slope, making the walk from the station to the hotel tiring. It's an old-fashioned hotel with a spacious interior and a souvenir shop on the first floor

While the island has a rich history, it's currently very peaceful and you can stroll around the beach and other areas to yourself

The boat ride took about three minutes from the dock on the opposite shore, docked at the pier in front of the hotel, and checked in. It reminded me of Porco Rosso

It was a bit too much for a poor country couple, but we were relieved to see that the other guests didn't look particularly wealthy. There was no dress code, and we were allowed in in our tracksuits

After the hors d'oeuvres, fresh sashimi was served. There was even a spiny lobster on display. Afterwards, meat dishes and even tempura were served, and the feast was so intense it was like torture

We relaxed in our room, soaking up the heat, and then it was time for the long-awaited dinner. We had already been drinking in the room, but we started with a toast with an aperitif

The hotel suite is 100m2 and is huge. Our suite was with 3 futons, perfect for 3 gentlemen. The huge bathroom was well supplied with the nicest cosmetic amenities and fluffy towels

The room is a bit old, probably built during the G7 meeting in 2016. But the services are very good, and the scenery is also very good. It feels like being out of this world. It is quiet and I had a good rest.

The small refrigerator is all free, and there are Mikimoto skin care products. The lounge has a terrace with an excellent view, and the food and drinks prepared are also exquisite

This was my first time staying at this hotel, and it was the best hotel I've ever stayed at in all areas. I'm grateful for the polite and warm service from all the staff.

After a short 3-minute boat ride from the opposite shore, you'll immediately reach the entrance. The spacious lobby and hot springs on the 1st and 6th floors were wonderfully warm, perfect for a long soak

The food was tasty Japanese fare - westerners not familiar with it will almost certainly struggle, and there are no restaurants or convenience stores on the island, so be aware. We’d love to come back in sunmer!

On our way to our next accommodation, Auberge Yusura, we, being hot spring lovers, enjoyed the open-air garden bath, "Kazemachi no Yu," at Fukujuso. ♨ To get there, you have to take a 3-minute boat ride

But since we weren't staying the night and were only going to use the hot spring, we enjoyed the feeling of being on a journey for a while by taking a boat ride across Matoya Bay

What a little gem! We really enjoyed our stay here. The island has its own weird, nefarious history. But if anything that adds to its mystery…and possibly lack of guests
