Where to stay with pets in Shima

Very good for relaxing, the location is perfect for rent a car traveling, The dinner is excellent with variety of food and fantastic alcoholic drinks , as well as breakfast it is very delicious.

The spacious parking was a big plus! The room was also very large and relaxing, and I was lucky to get one with a nice view. It was great that the lounge offered free alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, and snacks

The only downside was the limited hairdryer space in the women's changing room at the underground public bath, which led to some waiting

The lobby lounge offered alcohol and snacks, and after my bath, I was treated to Yukimi Daifuku and frozen fruit. It was fun to see so many ways to enjoy the hotel without leaving the room rate

The buffet had a wide selection and was enjoyable. However, it was so crowded that it was difficult to take my time looking around. There were fewer people there at the latest

There was a kids' play area (although the batteries in the electric toys, like the merry-go-round and piano, were all dead)

Spain Mura is a hidden gem with some of most enjoyable roller coasters! The best part about this place is that it’s not well known. It seems like the local population know of it but it’s not really know to tourists

I definitely had fun at this park. It is a mellow and quieter version of Disneyland. I'd rather visit this theme park as it was not so crowded, rides are thrilling, and my favorite, is that there is no queue

While I was here, I explored the whole park in around an hour then went on all of the rides. Each ride had a wait time of approximately 2 minutes (just waiting for the last group to finish)

I was really impressed with the large roller coaster “Pyrenees”. It had features similar to the flying dinosaur at universal. The other rides also had no line and were really fun

You can absolutely take as many rides as you want

Obviously when you live in Spain like me, this park is a very funny experience and in many ways completely not representing Spain in its actual way how it is now. Having said that, the park is fun to visit

The unlimited use of bath towels was a fantastic service for us, as we love to soak multiple times. The view from our room, with the calm sea and beautiful sunset, was absolutely stunning

It was a mystical view that made me wonder if it was like this in ancient times. The baths, food, and facilities in the hotel were all wonderful and very enjoyable

This is a traditional, large-scale hot spring ryokan. I've been to many hot spring ryokans, and most of them felt deserted with few staff and many foreign guests

Finally, I must mention that we stayed here about 15 years ago when my late father was battling an illness. Being able to come back with my now-grown children and reminisce about those memories was truly special

When I took a bath in the open-air bath at night, it was a full moon. There was almost no light in the scenery other than the moonlight, and only the moonlight shone on the surface of the sea

Apparently that was for people who have lunch! I didn't book lunch but the gentlemen eventually allowed me to use the onsen and was extremely helpful, concerned on where I was staying and with indications on when to take the train later, how and so on

First-class service, making you feel at home everywhere. From 19:00 to 22:00, in the comfortable environment on the second floor, you can enjoy snacks, drinks and cocktails

The breakfast is quite exquisite, and the tableware and furnishings are very exquisite. There are Western and Japanese options

I booked the plan that included breakfast. It far exceeded my expectations, and everything I ate was delicious

People can't help but be in France, looking out the window elegantly and enjoying delicious meals

The Nemu Resort Hotel is a great quiet place to be secluded from the ruckus of a major city. Lovely place just to relax and enjoy the natural surroundings.

The large window in the room overlooked the bay, and the sunset was the best view! Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, with seafood in abundance

We roasted marshmallows in the lounge, played table tennis, and enjoyed morning yoga, so we had plenty of activities to enjoy

As the reviews said, it wasn't a new building, but it was clean. The bath was also cleaned regularly by the staff, which was nice. The sunset cruise, which was an activity I booked, was also wonderful

This hotel ticks a lot of boxes from me and my family with two small children, All be it there wouldn't be much for them to do other than the simplistic Garden room but that's one of the reasons a short stay here is the best course in my opinion

Location is good, pretty close to JR station, room itself is small and aged, especially the bathroom

Only nitpick would be that I wish there were more outlets in the room for charging. 6 people in a room with two outlets. The futon were clean and the pillows very nice. The food was great both at dinner and breakfast

This was a really nice room in a really nice hotel. I went during a slow time of year so I guess I got a pretty good rate. I got the large sea view room and the views were awesome

The hotel is very close to Kintetsu Kashikojima Station. Although the facilities are a bit old, they are not a problem for use. The hotel staff is also responsible

The gap between the fence around the entrance was wide and there was a risk of children falling in, and the bathtub was a freestanding type made overseas, so it was quite high and caution was needed

The first road is only wide enough for one car, so we recommend driving with extreme caution! The room is very spacious and extremely clean. There are four beds and up to six people can stay

This hotel has already seen many years, but it's built in a spectacular location. You can literally feel the sea in your room because the sound of the waves is constantly audible, and the view of the sea is amazing

The person next to me was having a meal that included Matsusaka beef, which was a bit disappointing. However, the all-you-can-eat rice and other items were fine, which was nice

However, my only regret was that when I made my reservation, I didn't realize that there were various meal courses available and ended up ordering the most standard one

Riding on the second floor of the Kintetsu Bicester car for the first time was one of my fond memories, but next time I want to go to Ise Jingu and Matsusaka, I think I'll use my own car

Before I had even arrived with my family Hikari the concierge had been assisting me with transport, tour guides, luggage concierge. The service in this hotel is beyond excellent

Whilst staying we visited the spa, again service was excellent and the massages definitely worth a visit. This hotel is worth a visit, as is the area which is beautiful

The drinks and food in the lounge were great, but above all, the service was wonderful, and I had a very enjoyable time.

Great view! But the hotel cannot check in one minute earlier, have to wait in the lobby even after cleaning is done. I don't understand, the guests are tired...

The large public bath was also nice and spacious, but the sauna felt a bit small. The meals were satisfying with local specialty dishes, but there wasn't much fruit and the dessert cake was a little disappointing

I didn't drive, and the hotel is located on a slope, making the walk from the station to the hotel tiring. It's an old-fashioned hotel with a spacious interior and a souvenir shop on the first floor

I stayed here with seven of my high school classmates to celebrate my 60th birthday. The hotel offered complimentary red wine and lent us a red chanchanko set for photos. Thanks to them, we had a very enjoyable dinner

Kashikojima gradually becomes quiet around 5:00 or 6:00, and restaurants and convenience stores at the station close by 6:00. We didn't book dinner at the hotel, so we took the train two stops later to eat

It’s a nice older style ryokan ! It’s not new or new looking ! But the staff were really friendly and the food was so great!!! It felt like I was at a friendly home stay with food taste like an amazing family meal!

Tonight's dinner was much better than last night's, which I guess compensated for the room rate. I don't know why hotels are so tight in Kashikojima, so I had to book this one, and it wasn't ideal

There was a Famicom remote control hanging from the TV, and it looked like you could play games by inserting coins, but no money was inserted. From the guest room window, you can see Ago Bay

We checked in on a Saturday and were told the rooms were fully booked, but there were hardly any people around. Even the restaurant was empty for dinner, which was odd

The hot water faxility is out off work, they took a reponsibility by waiving all hotel the fee.

It's very close to the station. The room is relatively large. It feels like a mom-and-pop shop. The cleaning is quite clean. Yukata and towels are put in a bag every day and one for each person is placed on the bed.

The room was spacious and comfortable. Considering it was old, it was well-cleaned, which was nice. It had all the basic amenities and was comfortable. The price was also reasonable, which was nice

I wish the toilet had a washlet

There is also a room where you can smoke, which is rare these days, and it is nice to be able to take a break in the room. The bed is a little small, and the free breakfast is just bread and coffee (and no butter or jam)

Although it is a hotel without meals, you can have bread rolls and self-made coffee for free breakfast. The bread is delicious even if you don't put anything on it. I think it's better to take a bath outside

Each dish felt carefully prepared. It was a comforting experience, as they kept a close eye on my appetite and served it at the right intervals. Breakfast was also freshly made and delicious

When we arrived, we were asked what time we wanted dinner, and they showed us a beautiful place to watch the sunset, saying, "Shall we have dinner at 6 o'clock? Or shall we have dinner at midnight if we want to go see the sunset?" After enjoying the walk and the sunset, we had a delicious meal

The room was average, but the view was amazing. Watching the sunset while soaking in the bath was so relaxing. Dinner was creative cuisine, and the presentation and flavor were unlike anything I'd ever tasted before

Excellent place to stay & enjoy view. Restaurant serves excellent meal with extraordinary quality. Wish to stay again to explore Ago bay. The rooms are well equipped with all the basic necessities

I couldn't find it from the wide street, so I had to pore over maps and Google maps. I finally found it after going through a narrow road. I was amazed that it was built in such a national park

All the dishes were delicious, but especially the oysters! When we left, the owner and his wife sent us off with smiles on their faces. Both our stomachs and our hearts were satisfied

The Club lounge on the fifth floor was already well supplied with all kinds of snacks, beverages and wines, open from morning to late night. We had a Japanese breakfast on day and a western breakfast on the second day

There is a shuttle bus at Kashikojima Station. Find the driver of the hotel bus. The suite will immediately notify the Toyota car to pick you up. It takes three to five minutes by car

The hotel suite is 100m2 and is huge. Our suite was with 3 futons, perfect for 3 gentlemen. The huge bathroom was well supplied with the nicest cosmetic amenities and fluffy towels

This was my first time staying at this hotel, and it was the best hotel I've ever stayed at in all areas. I'm grateful for the polite and warm service from all the staff.

Hmm? Maybe I've been here before (lol). In fact, I also used it when I stayed at the worst hotel in 2016, "Haifuu" 😅 Anyway, it's okay. The hot spring is quite salty when you dip in, and your body warms up immediately

What a little gem! We really enjoyed our stay here. The island has its own weird, nefarious history. But if anything that adds to its mystery…and possibly lack of guests

The food was tasty Japanese fare - westerners not familiar with it will almost certainly struggle, and there are no restaurants or convenience stores on the island, so be aware. We’d love to come back in sunmer!

On our way to our next accommodation, Auberge Yusura, we, being hot spring lovers, enjoyed the open-air garden bath, "Kazemachi no Yu," at Fukujuso. ♨ To get there, you have to take a 3-minute boat ride

Celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary, we stayed at Shima Kanko Hotel The Bay Suite the night before and enjoyed some black abalone

The hotel was nearly empty, which meant we had almost exclusive use of the onsen

It's located about 5 minutes away from Spain Village, halfway up a hill on the opposite side of the bay, so it was convenient for visiting the village

which can be physically exhausting when you're tired. There was dust on the sheets and futon. The mattress was made of rice crackers, so my body ached in the morning. There was a strong smell of dead window stink bugs

As it's a public lodging, it's more like a training facility, as you can see in the photos. I visited in winter, so the shower wasn't very strong, the water wasn't very hot, and the bathtub itself was just warm

We stayed here as a family of three in April 2025. 🤗 It cost ¥5000 per adult for one night with breakfast. Our schedule ran behind that day, so we checked in quite late and arrived in complete darkness

For meals, you could have as much rice as you wanted in the evening, and toast and rolls in the morning. The main benefit is that it's cheap, and as long as you understand that, it's fine
