Kenchomae Hotel Abis Matsuyama in Matsuyama

Lovely Hotel & super friendly staff!

I stayed here for three nights in November 2025.

The location is convenient, with a convenience store next door and the tram station and the limousine bus stop to Matsuyama Airport close by.

You pay for your stay in advance and can collect your amenities from the front desk.

The amenities include the usual items such as powdered tea, toothbrushes, cotton swabs, cotton balls, and lotion.

The fact that they provided a body sponge was helpful (I don't like washing my body with a towel).

The room is typical of a business hotel. While there is a bathtub, I think most people use the shower.

There is a wall-mounted USB port and charging cables are available for rent, which is convenient for those who only carry minimal charging devices.

The toilet was small, and it was a bit too big for an adult male.

The toilet next to the breakfast area on the first floor is of standard size, so if size is a concern, you may have to use that one.

The coin laundry is on the first floor and has separate washing machines and dryers, similar to the ones found in Toyoko Inns and other establishments. It was very helpful that they provided free tension rods and wire hangers for hanging laundry in the room.

Breakfast was buffet style, and containers for taking food back to the room were also provided.

Personally, I recommend the bread and salad. Although the overall selection is not large, there are noodles, so I feel you'll be more satisfied if you focus on either bread or rice and replace the noodles with a side dish that goes well with them.

There are several business hotels in Matsuyama in this price range, but I recommend this one for those who are attracted by the good location and free breakfast.

The building is old, but the facilities are clean. The location is convenient, and the price is excellent.

A complimentary welcome drink is provided. The free breakfast was delicious. You can check the occupancy status on your phone, and you can pack your lunch to take back to your room, which is convenient.

The room is equipped with an air purifier, kettle, hair dryer, and refrigerator. You can pick up any amenities you need in the lobby and take them back to your room. The pillows and light were great. It's a good idea to grab the limited items while they're still available!

There was some noise reverberating through the building when you were quiet in the room (maybe from the shower plumbing?), but it wasn't noticeable as long as I had the TV on.

It was convenient to have a Family Mart next door.

It seems they also have bicycle rentals. The city tram is also nearby, and Matsuyama Castle, Matsuyama City Station, the shopping arcade, and Okaido are all within walking distance, making this a convenient and affordable business hotel.
