Takanokono Hotel in Matsuyama

Stayed here with friends for a golf trip. Getting around wasn't an issue as we rented a car.
What really stood out was the hotel's hot spring – the water was incredibly soft and felt amazing. Even softer than Dogo Onsen, I'd say?
My only minor gripes were that there was absolutely no Korean or English spoken, and the pajamas in our room were quite old and too big. Overall, we had a good stay though.

At approximately 5,000 yen per person, the hotel included hot springs and breakfast, which I felt offered excellent value for money. The hotel and guest rooms were clean, and there were no particular issues.

The parking lot was spacious and easy to park in, which was convenient. Breakfast was delicious and satisfying. The hot springs included a sauna and an open-air bath, and the facilities were excellent, making for a comfortable stay.

Regarding the hair dryers, the one in the guest room had somewhat weak airflow, but the one in the hot springs had sufficient airflow and was not a problem.

On the other hand, despite the hot springs being a major attraction of the hotel, the extra charge for additional bath towels was a slight concern.

Overall, I was very satisfied and would definitely like to stay here again when visiting Matsuyama.

Both the exterior and interior have been beautifully restored! The hot springs were also great ♪

The hot spring was great and there was a massage chair in the room, so I was able to relax!

The room was comfortable and the heating was excellent. The onsen, which is operated in conjunction with the hotel, is especially better than Dogo Onsen. Towels and linens are provided daily, ensuring exceptional cleanliness. The breakfast was delicious and varied, making it hard to believe it was a hotel breakfast. There's also a delicious yakitori restaurant in front of the hotel. Definitely check it out.

Guests could use the hot springs for free.
It was a bit far from Matsuyama City,
but the staff were friendly,
and it was great to be able to enjoy the hot springs.

Amenities were good. I wish there was bottled drinking water in the room.

Since we were traveling by car, the hot spring usage times and coin laundry were very helpful. I was also pleased with the wide variety of breakfast items. The toilets and showers are also convenient with no steps.
