A beautiful place for an overnight stay - clean, new and the futon bedding was very comfortable. The public bath was quiet and peaceful and we also enjoyed the private bath in our room. We had dinner in our room which was delicious.

A perfect stay for an unforgettable birthday
Everything was absolutely amazing! The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and professional. The room was spacious, extremely comfortable, and well-equipped. We really appreciated being able to choose our own yukata upon arrival — such a lovely traditional touch. The private onsen in the room was a dream, and the public onsen was large and included a very relaxing jacuzzi. From start to finish, this was a truly relaxing and memorable experience.

The hotel's location isn't great; it's in a relatively remote area, and the nearest convenience store is more than a 10-minute walk away. It's also about a 10-minute walk to the Dogo Onsen shopping street, which involves a rather steep incline. However, the onsen in the room is very comfortable, offers good privacy, has a large bath, and the room itself is quite spacious and comfortable.

As a Japanese hot spring travel enthusiast, I have stayed in more than a dozen hot spring hotels of various sizes with local characteristics, such as Boki, Noboribetsu, Hakone, Bessho, Misasa, Unzen, etc. It is no exaggeration to say that this Yachiyo is the most comfortable one I have ever stayed in. It is different from other old and outdated hot spring hotels. I booked a room with a private bath. The whole hotel, from the entrance to the room, from facilities to services, gives people a sense of luxury beyond 5 stars. This is something I have never experienced in a hot spring hotel. Even if it rained heavily the next morning, it did not affect my mood. I just listened to the sound of rain and drank ice milk in the private bath to have a morning bath, and then went out full of energy after the rain! If I have to say there is any shortcoming, it is that the food can be improved.

Amazing hotel, amazing service. I cannot recommend staying here enough. The trip was absolutely wonderful and I would highly recommend getting the dinner with the room (which I forgot to do haha). The staff was very friendly and attentive and you will feel valued.
