The hotel itself has a lot of character, with a traditional feel that fits perfectly with the surrounding historic area. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with everything needed for a relaxing stay. It’s not overly modern, but that’s part of the charm and suits the setting really well.
The staff were friendly and helpful throughout, always happy to assist with directions or recommendations. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and the overall service felt personal rather than rushed.
Breakfast was a nice bonus, with a good selection to start the day before heading out to explore the city. It added real value to the stay.
Overall, Old Riga Hotel is a solid choice if you want a comfortable, well-located base in Vecriga with plenty of charm. Great value for money and somewhere I’d happily stay again.

Perfect location but as a whole a bit outdated. Old is not always boutique and romantic. But friendly staff and good price helped a lot.
My room was immaculate & had everything I needed. The breakfast was superb, the choice of food was very good (both the hot & cold options) The Hotel restaurant (Italian) was good too. I definitely recommend the pizza & the tiramisu. I also would recommend this hotel as it was great value.
