Bunga Raya Island Resort & Spa in Kota Kinabalu

The front desk staff named Enna seemed to have two faces and wasn't very pleasant. However, other front desk and service staff were great, and I particularly commend the cleanliness!

I loved the design of this resort, but unfortunately, it was monsoon season, so I couldn't enjoy any of the water activities in the sea. The pool closed at 6 PM, with no lifeguard or towels available after that – it felt quite inhumane.

The ping-pong paddles were severely worn out, and the balls were of very poor quality. I suggest replacing them with branded ones.

The villa's special feature is being surrounded by trees, with the constant sounds of wind, sea, birds, and monkeys. The price is quite high, but I absolutely adore this kind of house. While reading on the villa's balcony, monkeys would often come to visit, and one even put its hand into my cup – we actually got along quite well!

The Chinese restaurant next to the lobby was truly delicious. However, the breakfast ordering system is debatable; if you want meat, you can only order a set menu.

The amount of work by the sea is truly immense. After clearing a beach full of trash in the morning, it quickly filled up again with rotten fish, shrimp, old socks, and broken shoes. I understand the resort's difficulties.
