This hotel is exceptionally clean and truly reflects a heritage-class property.
Everything is well maintained, full of character, and gives a premium heritage experience.
One of the best hotels in Penang, both in terms of cleanliness and overall atmosphere.
The stay was excellent and memorable.
If there were such a thing, this hotel definitely deserves 6 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.
Highly recommended.

I m first time stay at this hotel , i saw there is 3.5 star reviews in Google review after i booked hotel.
My expectations not so high ,before i check in . While , after i stay here for 3 night , there is a good experience for me as a solo travelers for the price.
Well, u must prepare your own blanket and bedsheet , hair blower , ear plug , hair shampoo and conditioner , then u will enjoy yourself at here. The building is a nice build outside .
For me , i definitely will come back next time ! Thanks for serve me well for the 3 night stay , and of coz a good room service . Thank you

Room was old , staff call many time as for remind check out . Request for check out at 1 Pm , staff say will charge Rm 20 . Not good service , will not recommend . Please upgrade a room ..

The room is tiny & tidy, clean & comfortable the bed enough for 1 person only..during sleep i smell of fungus quite strong may there molded under the bed hope the hotel to improve on this problem, i love there feel at home & easy access to exiting roads ,going to stay again

Excellent service from reception guys at the counter. The room is clean and the bed is comfy! Though the room is quite small in size but the mattress and pillow solve it all.

Rude staff whose manners are that of a coffee shop worker. Level of service not suitable for a fine dining establishment. Food just so-so. Waste of such a fine ambience

The food is very delicious, the atmosphere is very nice, live piano music, highly recommended for fine dining and for romantic occasion such as anniversary or Valentine's day.

The ambience is top notch. Housed in a resplendent old mansion the atmosphere is great. However the food wasn't all that marvelous considering the price you pay. The fried chicken in batter was too dry, the salmon was ok. One thing the chef really stinged on was the vege side dishes and the sauce. Such tiny miserly amounts. Fine dining doesn't have to be such miserliness.
The place was understaffed. I had to go pour myself water after my glass was left empty for ages.

Arrived at the place at 6.40pm and was looking forward to having a great dinner. There was no one to greet us and when we finally walked into the dining area, we found 1 waiter who briskly told us that they only opened at 7pm. So we decided to wait - there was no one to serve us or even ask us if we wanted a drink. By 6.45, people started to arrive who looked like staff. By 7, a fully dressed waiter emerged from the restaurant area but ignored us completely. By 7.15pm, we decided to leave as we were being ignored and treated like rubbish.
Not sure why this place is rated so highly in other reviews but the service standards are appaling and I would give this place a miss. There are nice restaurants around Penang with better service.

Very overrated! Poor and lousy services. Waiters have no knowledges about fine dining. Was trying to arrange a simple surprise for my gf. They just ruined it. Good setting with no quality of customer services. The attitude of the person in charged even worst. Will not return for sure!!
