Hotel Olympic Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur

The hotel’s cleanliness was very disappointing for a 3-star property. Both the room and common areas were not well-maintained, which made the stay quite uncomfortable.

The amenities were very basic and did not meet expectations, lacking the standard features you would usually expect from a hotel in this category.

On a positive note, the location is excellent—very convenient and within walking distance to TRX and Bukit Bintang, making it easy to access shopping and dining options.

Overall, while the location is a strong point, the poor cleanliness and limited amenities significantly affected the experience.

I recently stayed at Hotel Olympic Malaysia and the experience was mixed.

One thing to note is that the hotel charges a flat parking fee of RM6 at their facility. While the amount is not very high, it feels a bit inconvenient for guests who are already staying at the hotel.

During check-in, there was also a system issue which caused some delay. Hopefully this is something the hotel can improve to make the check-in process smoother.

Inside the room, the TV system was quite laggy and slow to respond to the remote control, making it frustrating to use. I eventually did not bother watching it because of this.

Guests should also be aware that the hotel requires a RM100 deposit, and it is cash only, which may be inconvenient for those who do not carry cash.

On the positive side, the location is quite good as it is close to the Merdeka MRT station, making it convenient to travel around the city.

Overall, the stay was manageable mainly because of the location, but there are several areas where the hotel could improve the guest experience.
