Reviews
When I went back down to lodge a complaint against him, he realized what I was doing and grabbed my room card, claiming he would file a complaint against me first—which felt like total harassment. While the rest of the staff are wonderful, he is the complete opposite. Interestingly, as soon as he saw my passport, his behavior changed instantly. I’d recommend avoiding check-ins/ interacting with this guy during the evening or early morning shifts to steer clear of him and avoid a bad experience.
-------
Location:
The location is okay, not amazing.
If you’re coming from Chow Kit, Google Maps suggests a route that takes you through dark alleyways and a connecting bridge where homeless people were sleeping.
If you’re alone after midnight, I’d avoid that route.
Instead, keep walking straight on Jln Sultan Azlan Shah. The hotel will be on the left, and that street feels much more lively and safer.
Putra Station is close by and you can take the metro to Batu Caves.
PWTC Station is also close and connects you back to Merdeka Square and Bukit Bintang.
Chow Kit Station to get you to KLCC, KL Sentral and Bukit Bintang
Overall, it’s far from most landmarks, but transportation is available. You’ll just need to walk around 10 to 15 minutes to reach any metro station.
-------
Check-in and Staff:
There was no one to guide you during check-in.
You have to walk through different parts of the building with no signage at all.
The front desk literally told me to come back if I got lost, which was surprising.
That said, the front desk staff were helpful overall:
I complained about the noise and they spoke to the neighbors after I did.
One charging adapter was broken and they replaced it quickly.
One minor annoyance:
I asked for extra water and the staff member kept saying they already put some in the room.
I tried explaining I wanted extra if possible, but he didn’t really try to help.
Not a huge deal, just a bit frustrating.
-------
Facilities:
The rooftop pool is way better than the pictures.
I went in the afternoon and it was honestly really nice.
Not as good as another hotel I stayed at later, but still very decent.
There’s a free ironing set available nearby.
No dry cleaning service, so you’ll need to take clothes to a shop outside.
-------
Final Thoughts
For the price, Leo Palace is solid if you manage your expectations. Clean rooms, helpful staff, and a surprisingly nice pool. The biggest trade-offs are the noise, weird room layout, and lack of basic amenities. If you’re a light sleeper or sensitive to noise, that’s where I’d think twice.
They don't even reply back if they doing anything like review CCTV or even a decency to let their supervisor or manager know, so they could at least apologize or something because we lose a bag in their premises and compound. Just all the staff (we asked in every shift) just shrugged we don't know, don't care attitude. Such a bad service for a long stay guest. We do have many bags so from the counter to our room we lose a bag. They should acknowledge and take out report officially since I worked in many hotels I know whats the right procedures to do but they don't. We keep on extending our stay thinking we would at least get a feedback but nada.
Yeah you can stay in this hotel but do not have any complain/report/issues coz they won't give a -
However the room is dirty.
Pool dirty.
