We spent 8 nights here. The room, hotel grounds, restrooms, restaurant, and beach are all very clean. The breakfast buffet is extensive, with something for everyone, and delicious – and it's right on the beach with a fantastic view. That's a perfect way to start the day! The staff are very friendly and accommodating. We felt very comfortable here and would definitely book here again if we come back to Langkawi. Thanks to the entire Camar team 🤗

I booked this hotel and then immediately saw a bunch of negative reviews on Xiaohongshu, saying there was a sewage plant nearby directly discharging waste. I tried to cancel, but the hotel wouldn't allow it. I really didn't expect it to be this bad when I arrived. The restaurant is right on the beach, and you can see human waste flowing into the water along the shore – so forget about swimming in the sea. The two staff members in the picture, the woman was nice, but the man was very discriminatory. Not just towards us, but towards other Chinese tourists too. Also, be careful when paying deposits. The hygiene was appalling, and the service quality was very poor. We stayed for 2 nights over Chinese New Year, occupying 4 rooms, which cost over 10,000 RMB. Just a heads-up for anyone considering this hotel.

Cons: The reception staff were arrogant and not hospitable. There were old, dirty slippers in the room, old furniture with a rusty mirror, dirty curtains, and visible dust. One of the beds was uneven, and we had to put paper under one of its legs so it wouldn’t move. It does not feel like a four-star hotel. Upon arrival, guests are given a list of rules that may result in additional charges (for example, staining their towels or bedsheets).

The hotel is totally overpriced. High ratings on Ctrip seem fake, as the hotel is almost entirely filled with Chinese guests, with very few international guests.
• Poor Service: Painfully slow check-in. I was forced to pay a 120 MYR surcharge for my child, but received no extra bed, no kid's towels, and no kid's slippers.
• Terrible Beach & Noise: A massive sewage pipe empties right onto the hotel beach, causing a gross smell. Cenang Beach is much better. There’s also construction noise next door.
• Bad Room Conditions: The 40sqm room is so poorly laid out it can't fit a child's bed. The tap water is yellow. Drains are extremely slow, and the bathtub was completely clogged upon arrival. No disposable slippers provided.
• Cheap Breakfast: Very limited food and they only serve instant coffee—unacceptable for this price point.
• The Only Pro: The swimming pool is large and nice.

If you're traveling with kids, book a room by the pool. Just slide the glass door and you're right in the water. The breakfast is really good, with a lot of protein. Refill service is super fast. Even during busy season, the buffet stays well-stocked through breakfast. The beach has plenty of sun beds, and the spot itself is fantastic. That said, in my experience, the jet skis and other activities make the beach and nearby area feel more commercial than private. It’s not your typical huge resort with buggies and all-inclusive, but it’s perfect for a quick two-night stay, good breakfast, clean beach, and sunbathing.. Cenang Mall is about a 15-minute walk, and there are lots of small restaurants nearby. Keep in mind, when we stayed there, there was construction next door, so the views and noises weren’t ideal for a holiday.

The resort was better than we anticipated, after reading some of the reviews. The location is excellent and the room a decent size. The breakfast was great and the restaurant served lovely food and drink at affordable prices. Don’t miss the happy hour to get tiger beer special!!

The staff are helpful and willing but some could benefit from extra training to be more efficient and more pro-active ie, clearing tables and clearing empty glasses from beach . Reception were extremely helpful when a trip we had booked nearly turned into a disaster. They called the number in Singapore for us and helped to sort the issue.

The hotel doesn't look as good as the pictures but it's still very comfortable and relaxing. The pool is nice and big. The service from staff is excellent and they really do their best to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
The breakfast is average but does the job. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes a short walk away but I just had the breakfast because there wasn't an option without.
The private beach is a big plus but you should probably avoid swimming as there's a water stream beside the hotel leading to the sea and it smells really bad.
Overall I'd definitely stay here again. The rooms are nice and spacious

I stayed right next to the beach in a beautiful suite. Everything was clean and ready for me :) Customer service was fantastic. Definitely worth the value :)

Some of the rooms are old and tired. When we found issues the staff were very helpful in getting us moved. The hotel has a very picturesque and quiet beach. Staff are friendly. On the whole would recommend the hotel and definitely Langkawi as a place to visit.

My pool access room was super comfortable, clean, and beautifully designed. I also loved that there’s a bathtub!
A few small suggestions for improvement:
1. It would be great to have street lights at the junction leading to the resort.
2. Adding a clear sign at the entrance would help, especially at night or during rainy weather.
3. Breakfast was okay overall. The English-style options were good, but the local dishes like fried kuey teow, fried vermicelli, and nasi lemak could use a bit more flavour.
Overall, I had a pleasant and relaxing stay — definitely a resort I’d love to come back to! 🌴💦
