Aveyla Manta Village in Dharavandhoo

Aveyla Manta Village is a big hotel located on the beach front. The rooms was huge and spacious, equipped with basic amenities. The bed was comfortable but the room was too dark. It was challenging even though there was a light on the makeup mirror as it was very dim. At night the room is very dark. There was no room telephone hence was an inconvenience as we had to go down to reception to find someone to request for things like iron.The restaurant was a very disappointing experience . The lunch was until 1430hrs however, when we arrived at around 1400hrs, items we ordered and no drinks we preferred were not available so we had to choose alternative options. Luckily the food was good. We were told we were late, and asked to come early next time. But since the lunch hour was until 1430hrs, I believe the food should be available. In the morning, I went for breakfast. Most of the items were not refilled and a big part of the buffet was empty. One staff was running up and down. I took few items and had my food, but no waiter attended to serve water, napkins or to ask about tea/coffee order while they served to a family who sat right next to me on the same long table. It made me feel ignored, it seemed that the hotel was short staffed and unable to cater to the guests. I left the table after the food without any of the mentioned items being served. The good things we noticed about the hotel were the friendly welcome upon arrival and the hotel been at the beach front. The hotel is quite old and we feel like it needs a refurbishment as well.
