Communication before arrival was good. However, shared transfer wait time was much longer than promised upon arrival (120 mins vs. 60 mins) which needs improvement. To be fair, the island has a beautiful natural environment with plenty of fish. However, the facilities are rather old, the rooms are only so-so in terms of cleanliness, and the service is just average. Dinner was decent, but breakfast was terrible; it tasted like leftovers from the previous night. This island is quite affordable and popular, so overall I would still recommend it.

The room was very clean, and the sea was right outside the door, where you could swim and fall asleep to the sound of the waves. There was also a small, winding beach.

We had an incredibly joyful vacation at Machchafushi. First of all, the coral reef is one of the healthiest I have ever seen.
